Tim, WJ, and Nick – good points, brothers, regarding the church, and denominations!

Nick – oh, my goodness! I had forgotten about the passage in Acts as it relates to Ps. 2. This is exciting. I'm going to study this tonight. Thank you so much! :)

Nick – I agree wholeheartedly with you. I was just curious about you, and wondered if you did belong to any set group. You answered the question beautifully. Thanks.

Pr 30 is interesting, indeed. Although, it still could be prophetic. I will not so quickly dismiss it as such. Let me look into this further and get back to you with what I find :) Have a good night, Nick. Nice to chat with you.

I do not believe Philippians 2 is talking about a pre-existence. So in that regard, there is nothing for me to offer.

My NIV notes say: A royal psalm, it was originally composed for the coronation of Davidic kings, in the light of the Lord's covenant with David. Later, prophetic words….future redemption of his people through an exalted royal son of David…….

Charity, God bless you sister, but you have some interesting theology….Jesus has a Father, who is God. God provided the seed. Jesus is of the line of David, however it was not David's seed that created Jesus.

Nick,Since we are missing the point of God sending his Son into the world (and how did he do that? By sending his seed to Mary – right?) Or are you meaning to say that God did not provide the “seed” that was Jesus' origen – his source – his parent? Interesting…..Galations 3:16″The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The…[Read more]

Does this Psalm have a time frame attached to it that you are aware of? Is it not possible that this is referring to a future event? A future king of David? It is possible. And if it is possible, then it could be referring to the DAY when Jesus is begotten, could it not?

it seems according to Phil 2 that it was a deliberate choice to obey.*****************Nick, “….it seems…..” is not a very firm foundation to build on. I encourage you to have many passages that would seem to say the same thing before I claim this teaching. It “seems” to me that you are left guessing here; making presumptions, even. God can create alone, but he cannot “beget” alone. Are you saying that “only begotten” is really not the proper translation? I want to be clear.

Hi David – I'm in WA State. I believe I will go tonight. I do not believe in denominations (any longer). The body of Christ is the church (where ever we gather).
