Right, WJ. As I do not believe in the incarnation, and you do, we may have more than a bit of misunderstanding between us.But I believe that Jesus was with God as a son is with his father before they are born. I believe scripture also teaches this. Scripture is vague if it is referring to an incarnation OR even more vague regarding Nick's…[Read more]

Here's the thing guys – I believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Literally. Why is that a crime of not believing by faith? It is taught clearly in scripture, too. In fact, it is more likely and taught clearer than both of your views! Jesus had geneology! He had a Mother! And yes, you can give “birth” to plans………….you…[Read more]

Jesus was taught right from wrong.Does anyone think before he was taught to do right that he did wrong? And was that wrong in anyway a “sin?” I guess not if Jesus “knew no sin.” However, we are also taught that all wrongdoing IS SIN. Curious topic.

Here I go again………but HOW was he “with” the Father? :)Anyway, I believe that Jesus was with the Father alright – but not as a second person of himself – and not as a spiritual person. Jesus was with God as his son to be brought forth, as the plan of the Father, as the word of the Father that would be manifested in the birth of Jesus.

Jesus is YHWH, the true God, **************Tim – is there a verse that says Jesus is the only true God? Where?

  • Profile picture of Not3in1

Two persons (three counting the child that is conceived), one flesh. This is the image of God.*********************Wow. This is stretching it a bit, don't you think?

Good last point Nick. But I do thank you, Tim, for these verses. I will take a look at all of them again. It takes some time to do this research, so thank for bringing it to the table for review.

Thanks, Nick!I just wanted to make sure your belief wasn't that Jesus was “just” the vessel for God as in a incarnation.Hi not3,Absolutely.*************************In the above short conversation you said you didn't believe in the incarnation. However, in another thread you and I are a part of, you said you believe that Mary is a surrogate…[Read more]

By making Mary a surrogate Mother – you are saying you believe in incarnation. I do not believe the bible teaches incarnation ANYWHERE. I believe we will have to agree to disagree here.

  • Profile picture of Not3in1

Oh! I reread your post: You DO believe that Mary didn't contribute to the person who is Jesus. Wow……she is only a surrogate. That is so sad to me. I think it would be sad to Jesus too. He probably had her eyes, or her sense of humor :)

Hi Nick,To be perfectly honest with you, Nick, I'm not sure “what” I am. Ha! Possibly, that is why I am here. To really get into “check” what my beliefs are. By refuting what I think is false, I just might be taught that I am in error? By listening to others and looking up scripture. By see another's views and applying them to what I already…[Read more]

Hi Ken,Was He tempted before He was baptized? **************************Well, this is just a theory because we are not told much of Jesus' life as a child. We are told he had to learn right from wrong…..so we can draw our own ideas from that. Also, in Isaiah somewhere it talks about God holding the right hand of the Servant and “keeping his ways…[Read more]
