Actually, WJ just prefers a different interpretation of men.You chose one interpretation of scripture, and he chose another.Scripture lends itself to BOTH VIEWS.

OK, yes I tend to lean towards this deism belief and/or philosophy. I'm not totally sold out on all it's beliefs, but quite a few of them certainly sound reasonable to me. Of course, I would consider myself a Unitarian before I would consider myself a Trinitarian (sorry, WJ). And I most definitely do not consider that God is dead!

Hi WJ,I was just thinking about you today! How have you been, bro? Sure good to see you here. Hope you have more to contribute.Nick, I'm going to check out the websites you listed now. I've been reading a bit on deism and it doesn't sound near as hopeless as you are presenting it. But maybe I'm missing something? Thanks.

I do think God is a shephard of sorts. He watches over us (lliterally) and he feeds us by providing the earth and it's bounty.

I have no idea what your point is here, Nick? I agree with everything you wrote. From what I understand Diest's believe in God, and presume they are “known” by God as much as we are.As far as “action” is concerned, it takes faith to believe in God – yes. Diests have faith.I notice that you use the word “vanity” quite a lot. What exactly are you…[Read more]

Sis,I would rather give you my home number and chat with you over tea and folding laundry!
Have a good day, I'm off to tackle the laundry pile (I hate doing laundry – it was my chore as a kid).MandyNot3in1 replied to the topic Thomas Paine in the forum Truth or Tradition 17 years, 11 months ago
http://www.deism.com is a pretty interesting/informative site. I found that I could disagree with very little.
