We all have a need to be with others. You choose to spend your time here amongst other Christians yes, I choose to go to an Adventist Church.
Truth is not only something to preach about, but also something to share, like anything else, and I mean share in not a dictating sort of way, but with togetherness.
Whoever thinks they have the truth can just as easily lose it. We can talk about what we know, without heart, or with the wrong motives. Or we can choose to be quiet, and let somebody else do the teaching. What we gain from what they say, parts can be taken hold of, other parts discarded.
It's not all doom and gloom.

Well, Wakeup, as far as I can see, and in my years of studying various christian denominations, I can say, that the Adventists are CLOSER to what I would consider to be truth. Truth you see, is not DOCTRINES – it is not so much what you believe, but more so, whether one has the fruits to show, whether one can tear down the separating wall between man and God, that is….. love. Does a group have love? That is, after all, how Jesus told us we could identify them. And I don't mean love in a puppet “we have been told to do this” type of way, either. But, natural love, humility, humility being the main key. Do you see, repentance? A turning away from sin? Fear and trembling? Love and concern for others? You see…. the only way one can tell for sure the Holy Spirit is actually working in a person is through movement, that being love and compassion.

What were you saying about the Adventists PAST HISTORY?
Is anything CLAIMED, true?

Youtube videos mean nothing much really, who knows who made them, only opinion. Have you ever been there yourself, so you can give a fair judgment?

Kerwin, true I have not read that caffeine is a blood thinner. Was just looking, and Wikipedia says:

“Caffeine increases cardiac arrhythmia (improper heart rate) by increasing stress hormone (e.g.adrenaline) secretions. It has been shown there is an increase in brachial diastolic blood pressure, but not in brachial systolic blood pressure. However, both aortic systolic and diastolic blood pressures increase significantly during caffeine consumption. It has been noted that long term consumption leads to increasing aortic systolic pressure which leads to chronic arterial stiffness. The results of increasing blood pressure mostly contributes to blockage of Adenosine A1 and A2 receptors. Since caffeine blocks adenosine A2 receptors which has vasodilatory function, blood vessels become less dilated. (i.e. vasoconstriction)” unquote.

Caffeine constricts blood vessels, but apparently alcohol, quote, “In moderate amounts, alcohol can cause blood vessel dilation which actually improves circulation…..Excess drinking can cause an increase in your blood pressure, but is not specifically associated with poor circulation.”

It is good to see things like that happening. It IS happening. Healing, repentance, people changing, searching. Jesus is coming back soon.

Thanks Kerwin I didn't know coffee was a blood thinner, I know caffeine constricts the blood vessels and when you quit they widen, which is better.

I always thought having no coffee I would be half asleep all day but quite the opposite, I am more wide awake because I am sleeping better.

Kerwin, if you don't mind my asking, which anti-rejection drug are you on? You don't need to answer if you don't want in public. They seem to have some side effects from what I read.

My BP was high daily for years, ended up in A&E about two years ago (Doctor called the Ambulance when I finally went to see her), eventually put on Calcium Chanel Blockers, hated the side effects, then weaned myself off them, BP still high, and then decided there must be a cause. Eliminated caffeine and sugar and it went down, and stayed down.

I believe your answer is in that.

Wakeup, I don't like getting into back and forth discussion over scriptures online anymore. But here is a short blog I did on the Second Advent. If we have it right, and we discern what to watch for (including being deceived in any way especially in regards to our faith) then with God's help and guidance, we will be watching.  

The Second Advent

Several years ago I was going to an Adventist Church as a visitor.
I'm not an Adventist, just a visitor.
I read one of their books, and learned through an Adventist friend that they believed there would be a false return of Jesus Christ, a deceiver.
If I remember rightly: This false Jesus would mimic almost exactly what many Christians are waiting for, and “the world” would be deceived.

This troubled me.
I prayed earnestly, and asked how we would know – How would we know Lord that it is you, or, an impostor?

Later that day, I had a vision.
I saw the world around me burnt, gone, nothing existed.
But I was still standing, alive.
This is how you would know.
You would just know.
There would be no doubt.
It would be the end of the world.

What happened after, I was not shown (Though I see now in scripture it would be the “rapture”)

I wrote as guided after, but I don't feel to say anything more in this blog.

Later, I found scriptures in the Bible to match..

2nd Peter chapter 3, exactly. They were waiting for a new heaven and a new earth. Jesus' return is “The day of the Lord” – the destruction of the world by fire.

Malachi 4: “For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace; and all the proud, and all who work wickedness, will be stubble; and the day that comes will burn them up,” says Yahweh of Armies, “that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.  But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out, and leap like calves of the stall.  You shall tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make,” says Yahweh of Armies.”

The three men in Daniel Chapter 3 – Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, thrown into a pit of fire,  given divine protection from the flames. They did not burn at all.

So, I knew this. I believe this.
Nobody can take away what God has shown me.
I thank God for showing me.

Amillenialism (e.g. Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran belief) is safe. Also, Adventist belief is safe.

PREMILLENIALISM which seems to be so rampant amongst Christianity today, is NOT safe to believe. You may be deceived into believing the false Messiah is Jesus.“Watch that you are not deceived!”

Recently I went through some chapters in the Bible – my words are in small print.
It is clear that when Jesus comes there will be the destruction of the world (the wicked), and only the chosen ones will remain alive, having received 'divine protection' from the fire – then, they will be “raptured”.

Matthew 13.24

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,  but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also among the wheat, and went away.
But when the blade sprang up and produced fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also.  
The servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did these darnel weeds come from?’
“He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’
The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’
“But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers,
“First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.”
He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,  the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one.
The enemy who sowed them is the devil.
The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.
As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.  
The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Matthew 24:23

“Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There,’ don’t believe it.
For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
“Behold, I have told you beforehand!
If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it.
For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
For wherever the carcass is, there is where the vultures  gather together.
(Revelation 19:17 the calling to the birds to gather means there is death. In Luke, the Disciples asked WHERE they will be TAKEN, and Jesus says the same: “wherever the carcass is, there is where the vultures will be gathered, so this is not speaking of the taken being raptured, but the taken being taken away by the fire, dead, God's chosen remaining alive.)

(Jesus now seems to backtrack to before that day)But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken; and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky.
Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.(So bright it will be)He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.(This is after the destruction of the world by fire). “As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,  
and they didn’t know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one will be left(Jesus just finished saying that the FLOOD came and took them all away, and likewise, two and one will be taken like in the flood and one will remain, alive); two women grinding at the mill, one will be taken and one will be left.
Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.
But know
this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.

1st Thess 4:13

But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left to the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God’s trumpet.
The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.
So we will be with the Lord forever.

Whatever happens, please, always keep these words of Jesus and the Apostles in mind..

“If they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it” (Matthew 24:26)

“Watch that you are not deceived” (Matthew 24:4)

“For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.” (1Thes 5:2)

“Behold, I am coming like a thief” (Revelations 6:15)

“The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up” (2nd Peter 3:10)

I pray anyone reading this go to God to seek truth. He will give it to you, if you trust Him.

Hi LU, I can't believe how many miracles God is working recently, even in regards to health!

And yes, FREE RANGE EGGS is the only way to go, those poor factory farmed Chickens (I have always wanted to set them free)

I believe many people suffering High Blood Pressure, and on medication, could be helped from simply quitting caffeine and sugar in any way shape or form, and table salt also should be avoided and a natural alternative used (such as Himalayan Pink Rock Salt –  MEASURED (research the daily recommendations of sodium, and take into consideration that sodium is also in bread)…… and that these simple changes to diet could, like myself, possibly bring a persons Blood Pressure down to perfect levels (mine is now 120/80 – it WAS 180/110 daily).

That being said, we are vegetarians, we eat only natural (no processed food, etc), and we walk daily, so all of those things help too.

And Honey – Well, John the Baptist lived on a diet of Locusts and Honey. So it must be good for you!

But I think Deja Vu and dreams of our future which some people have, Christians, shows us that God knows everything that happens before it happens, and prophecies which come to pass exactly as God foretold them.
