Egypt is one of the common locations written about in the Bible (Old Testament). The time periods suggest the setting is the New Kingdom of Egypt. But what was the Old Kingdom like. Well according to some archaeological and geological evidence, it seems that the Old Kingdom was more technologically advanced than the New Kingdom. Some of the evidence for this is narrated in this video. If this view is correct, it shows that this civilisation, even others degraded over time rather than advance. Even today in our advanced technological culture, we would find it very difficult, even impossible to create some of these ancient monuments.
Such evidence is not taken seriously enough in the world of archaeology because it contradicts our current world view. The Bible itself depicts man as perfect in the beginning, and becoming less sophisticated over time. Whereas the common world view today is that ancient man evolved from apes, so we are the most advanced form of mankind that has ever existed.
Feel free to post videos of provide evidence that doesn’t fit this current world view. I will start with this easy to watch video which suggests that the New Kingdom quarried structures built in the Old Kingdom. But it also suggests that the Old Kingdom did exactly the same thing with an unknown kingdom. It shows that the older kingdom made better monuments and possessed better technology with the New Kingdom kings claiming these monuments for themselves by inscribing their signatures into the stone.
