BOD,WHY ARE U NOT ANSWERING WHAT I ASKED YOU? Do you ignore them scriptures? Just tell me how you see them? You have to have the Son to have the Father, than you gain the holy Spirit. John tells us the word became flesh. He came unto His own. He taught us how to be with God, He came to fulfill the scriptures and ascended back to the glory He had before the world was. how about this… when a man and a woman come together the blood type of the child is determined by the seed of the man. always,Correct? So do you beleive jesus was born of a virgin? (Im sure you will agree) There was never a seed of a human man used to create Jesus's blood! So were did Jesus's blood come from????? THATS WHAT MAKES THAT BLOOD SOOOO SPECIAL! Thats how He gets the title”The Son of God” not a literal son like we have. AWESOME!!

    Hi Ed,

In hermas Theres God the Father, theres the Son who is the Holy Spirit, and Jesus the Son of God, makes sense to me, I believe what Hermas says. It was also believed by other early writtings. Adoptionism I think its called?

    HI Katjo,

Who's hermas, and who cares what hermas says anyway?

haha bod I do not. Did you read the part of the Sheppard of Hermas?

If you did then do you understand what it said about the son of God? Who was jesus?

You will believe any book except the Quran, what would make the Sheppard of Hermas more believable than the Quran?

By the way, how many times was Jesus mentioned in the book of Hermes?

You didnt really read it did you?

I know what writting is inspired.

In hermas it seems the son of God has always existed, he was the one through whom all things were created. He is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was a man who the Son (Holy Spirit) came to dwell in.

Because Jesus was the perfect vessel he after suffering dyeing was risen from the dead and became the second son of God.

So there is now two sons of God. One the Holy Spirit who always was and two Jesus. The first from the dead,

And there will be many more, whomever the Son (Holy Spirit) dwells in.

So you don't know how many times Jesus is mentioned in the book?

When you know Jesus you can recognise and understand when you read of him. In the Sheppard of Hermas it is speaking of Him. In the old Testament it is speaking of Him. In Enoch it is speaking of Him.

“His own” simply means to the Jews and most of this section is poetic and not literal.

Unless you believe God came to other gods

Also what do you think it means to say someone is the light?

    John 1:18 (Young's Literal Translation)

18God no one hath ever seen; the only begotten Son, who is on the bosom of the Father — he did declare.

And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
    Exodus 33:10-12

How do you align these two statements?

His blood came from his mother “Mary” but let me ask you this where did Adam's blood come from?

I was waiting for you to ask about Adam- Adam was formed from the dust; God formed Him so He had to give him blood too, But Jesus was born of a virgin. Mary would be pregnant by the holy Ghost. The seed was the word of God in her! Jesus's blood did not come from Mary… Your blood type comes from the seed of your father!

Jesus by name? Zero… but the Holy Spirit being identified as the Son of God more than once.

They would learn from writtings such as Hermas that God has a Son and that through the Son all things were created. So if they believed that then carried on and read the bible which names who the son is then they would figure it out.

How I see things so far myself,

The Holy Spirit (son of God) always has been, is loved and protected by God, He always has been a part of God, a Spirit being, who with God YHVH created everything, treasured, eternal, So close to God they are one.

Jesus being a Man lived and acted righteously perfectly, sinless he became the chosen vessel for the Holy Spirit to enter and become a part of, which happened when at the Baptism of Jesus the Holy Spirit was seen coming from the clouds, floating down upon him.

Jesus then became the living word of God, the Son of God was in him The words he spoke were not his own but the Son of God within.

Every word we have today which we read remember and hold close.

So, when Jesus was crucified, he was then risen from the dead and taken up to the Father he became the second son of God. The only one from all of humanity,

weep not for behold the Lion from the tribe of Judah has overcome!

And he was to be the first of many. But the position he holds is higher than any.

    So..Father
        Son (Holy Spirit)
        Son (Jesus)

I dont know yet though im still learning.

And like I said the Quran doesnt fit with any previous writtings? But your choice, you choose to read it and believe it, so your choice. We all make our own decisions.

Incarnation isnt in the bible but the idea is there. The word is from Latan, meaning “in the flesh”. and it refers to God becoming a human being. The man Jesus of Nazareth, known as the Son of God and the Word of God-truly human but truly divine too. the book of John says that Gods word became flesh and dwelt among us. The whole New Testament affirms that Jesus was fully human and yet also the Son of God, the word made flesh.
