Since the woman gave birth to those who follow the Lamb, that seed, and she was nourished in the wilderness 3 1/2 years, then there should be some record of it in the scriptures yes?

Well, I found it a few years ago, and I'm saying…it is to be found in Acts.

I think I follow the three and a half years of nourishment, Devo.  But I'm getting confused elsewhere.

    1)  It seems you guys are saying the woman is Zion, the “City of Righteousness” over which God rules.  And which really isn't a city at all, but the representation of the truth and goodness (doctrine) of God.

    2)  And Jesus is the son of this “doctrine” of God's righteousness, right?

    3)  And God's specially chosen race, the Jews, were supposed to be the daughter of this doctrine of God's righteousness? ? ?

But it was Jesus who did the three and a half years of nourishing, right?  Did Jesus nourish the “mother” who brought him forth?  And how did he do that if her child was “taken up to God” WHILE she was in the wilderness?  And how does this align with the disciples, who were really the ones Jesus nourished for three and a half years.

Also, I always thought Revelation was a glimpse of things that will “soon come to pass”.

Man, I've got to do something right now, which makes me angry because I'll have to try and wrap my head around all this from scratch again the next time I'm on the site.

    :(

    Anyway, keep talking.  I'm listening.

    MikeB.

You seem to understand that the woman is Gods teachings(doctrine). The city where all the righteous dwell.

At first it was God himself teaching the israelites,he even was their first king. This was Gods woman taught to israel.

But they have chosen their own king;Soul.
Now men has taken over, this now became the duaghter of Zion, taught through the perophets. Not God himself.

Jesus born out of mother Zion.
Then Jesus took over for a short while, and he gave it over to men to teach;this is the daughter of Zion.

Men has corrupted her untill today;soon Jesus will come back to take over, and he will bring her to perfection,
in his 1000yr reign. This will be his treasure, his bride, the work of his hand. She is his symbolical bride. The Holy city,an we are the city dwellers.

When his 1000yrs are expired, and the 2nd resurrection done. He will hand it back to his Father, and God will take over, only after the earth has been renewed. God himself will come down to earth and we then will see him face to face.

The 3/half yrs of nourishment of the woman:

When christ has gone up to his Father, the woman(daughter of Zion) has been persecuted by Paul, and God helped the woman and hides her. This is when they had to hide behind locked doors here and there.

Paul and his men men heard that they were hiding in damascus. So he and his men went to damscus, but Jesus stopped him on his tract and converted him.Remember: Saul.Saul why do you persecute me?

This is where it says ''and God opened up the earth to swallow up the flood(pauls armie).Read rev.12:14–16.

Anything not yet clear enough;just ask.

    wakeup.

This woman has 12 crowns, these are the 12 Apostles, the foundations of the new covenant, it was her that had the children that follow Christ's commandments.

But doesn't Revelation say it was her who had Christ himself?  And how is she wearing the Apostles on her head before Christ himself is born of her?

    Hi Mike,

    Fair question.

    We could also ask:
Why is she clothed with the sun and what was she clothed with before the sun was created?…since “she” has always been with God?
Was she naked till creation took place?
Was she without glory all that time?
Because “she” was BEFORE the sun.
    Same principal.

It is just showing us clues.
    What she consists of.
Because this vision is for our benefit.

The crown & being clothed with the sun & having the moon under her feet inserts are metaphors…not chronological markers, but metaphoric sign posts…identifiers.
    For our benefit

    Good question Mike, good question.

    Hope that helps bro.

    Hi Devolution,

    Salvation is of the Jews.
    The women represents Israel,

    Hi Ed,

Sorry I disagree, Israel can not be that woman.
When did Israel FLEE Israel for 3 1/2 years?
But this woman did, she fled Israel 3 1/2 years.
So this woman can not be Israel.

The only other way to argue this is by replacement theology.
You'd have to say that Israel (Christian Israel) fled non Christian Israelis.
You'd have to use that argument if anyone does?

But…did not God say He would call His people by another name?
    Is Israel another name?
    Isn't that the SAME name!!
So Christian Israel could not flee non Christian Israel, because non Christian Israel would no longer be called Israel by replacement theology terminology.
Thus & again, how can Israel flee Israel when Israel (replacement theology wise) is one?

So…Wouldn't Christians be the “another name” Gods people are called by?
Aren't Gods people now identified as Christians and Israelites are STILL called Israelis (Israel)!!
So, I go with Christians, not replacement theology “new Israel”.

Ed, these Christians born of that woman thus representing that woman metaphorically..THEY…SHE…fled Israel 3 1/2 years!!

Also, the crown of 12 stars can not be the patriarchs.
Because this woman's seed (children) are Christians (rev 12:17)
Therefore the 12 kings over them have to be of their same kind too…Christians.
    The patriarchs were not Christian…
    But the 12 Apostles were.
You don't have those under the old law ruling over those under the new law.

And one more point to consider Ed, Israel did not give birth to Jesus…Jesus was never born by the will of men (patriarchs/Israel) but by the will and direct intervention of God.
Other words, Israel did not give us Jesus, but God gave Jesus to Israel & to us too.

I do see where you are coming from Ed, but I do disagree.

    Cheers Ed.

    Hi Mike,

The woman that fled into the wilderness is represented here on earth by her followers (children).
Her followers are not literally that woman, but metaphorically.
Because that woman is within those followers.
And since that woman is within those followers, then yes, she did flee into the wilderness…she went with them…by being IN them.

Just like a messenger who went in his kings name, he wasn't the king, but, he, that messenger, for all intents and purposes, was that king symbolically towards whom he was representing his king to.

That is why killing the messenger/representative was considered an act of war..you were symbolically killing the king and his message (word).

    Same concept.
Lol, I know its strange at first…
    But only at first.

    Cheers Mike.

    let see what scriptures are saying ;

Rev 12:1 A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.

Rev 12:2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
Rev 12:3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads.
Rev 12:4 His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born.

Lk 2:7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Lk 2:8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.
Lk 2:9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
Lk 2:10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Lk 2:11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
Lk 2:12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Lk 2:13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
Lk 2:14 “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”
Lk 2:15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

Rev 12:5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.

Rev 12:8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.

Sorry I disagree, Israel can not be that woman.

    Old Testament (Genesis 37:9-10)
9 Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

10 When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?” 11 His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

    Wikipedia (Woman of the Apocalypse):
These symbols are drawn from Genesis 37:9–11, in which Joseph has a dream of the sun and moon symbolizing his father and mother, and stars representing his brothers, which bow down to him. The Old Testament's prophets referred to Israel as a “woman” (Isaiah 54:5-6; Jeremiah 4:31; Micah 4:9-10). The woman flees into the wilderness where she is nourished for 1260 days, the equivalent of three and a half years or forty-two months (cf. Rev. 11:1-3). According to this interpretation, these terms are used prophetically in Scripture either for the first half or the last half of the “Seventieth Week of Daniel,” in Daniel 9:24-27, a prophecy specifically addressed to Daniel and his people, Israel (Dan. 9:24). In the latter part of the seventieth week, a remnant of Israel will flee into the wilderness to escape the persecution of Antichrist, who is called “the son of destruction,” “the lawless one,” and “whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan” (2 Thess. 2:1-12; cf. Rev. 12:4,9). Jesus, in the Olivet discourse, warned the people of this time which would occur just prior to His return to set up His earthly, Millennial kingdom (Matt. 24:15-22). Further, the archangel Michael is called the guardian over the sons of Israel in Dan. 12:1. And he will arise at that time of national Israel's tribulation (Dan. 12:1; cf. Rev. 12:7).[11]

    T8.

Gods doctrine was not born of israel.
Jesus was not born out of israel, but out of Gods doctrine.
Holy Jerusalem the city of God. His woman.(his ethics).
Israel is the product of the woman, not the other way around.

God started to bring down his woman to israel.
He personally taught israel through the prophets, and he was king of israel for a short time.
    Then men took over.

Then jesus took over; he went back to his Father, and left it to men,and men has corrupted her, up to today.

He will come back to take over, and bring it into perfection in the 1000yr kingdom.

    Terra.

I ussed the word *doctrine* to make it easier to understand. Actually its all what God stands for; his ethics, his rules and laws, his will.
His teachings, how we suppose to live in his spirit.
Be ye Holy ,for God is Holy. This is his doctrine.

Gods true doctrine is found in the scriptures.
Any doctrine claiming to be true doctrine ,but can be contradicted with scripture is the wrong doctrine.
    As simple as that.

As you can see they have been teaching the wrong things in many ways. We must seek whether the doctrine is truth.

    Hi T8,

    Firstly, thanks for the input.

T8, I am aware of Joseph's dreams & we have taken them into consideration.

But there is something those you quoted have totally missed…

This woman in revelations is clothed with the sun…unlike Joseph's dream where the sun was Jacob (Israel)!!

That is vastly different & thus a different meaning than Joseph's interpretation.

And the moon also, different, for in revelations, the moon in this vision is actually under this woman's feet, thus this is not the same meaning being conveyed either.

So though we have the same prophetic markers, sun, moon, stars found in both prophecies, the useage of these markers are vastly different.

Therefore prophetically speaking, this woman is not the same as the Old Testament examples you have provided…this woman is greater than those examples and therefore so must the crown be also.

Different woman, different kings (crown of stars)

    Cheers.
