Scientists believe that space is something. Even between electrons, there is something. They call it dark matter and dark energy because it cannot be seen.
If you took away all that was visible from the universe, except you and you were able to spin around, what would you be spinning around in relation to? Well that would be space itself. It is said that your arms would still fly out if you spun around because of space itself.
I sometimes think of the universe as layers. What would happen if we went down to the smallest layer what would we find? God? If we went the other way and traveled to the edge of the universe and took a peek, what would we find? God? (I understand that God is invisible, so you wouldn’t literally see him). So perhaps the physical realm is but that which sits between the smallest and the biggest. A certain state that God holds with his Word.
Interestingly enough, The Planck Length describes the limits of the physical realm because if you draw a line from A to B and do so in half distance increments, then you would mathematically be able to travel forever in a straight line and never reach the end. How could that be?
And if you divide time or space and keep doing that would it also go forever? Apparently not. There is a length that is so small it is indivisible. When you drill down to the smallest of things, the laws of the physical universe are no longer what you see, thus why Quantum Physics is so hard to understand. Is this an edge or a boundary to the universe? Perhaps so, if we define the universe as being governed by physical laws.
Because you cannot keep dividing matter and still see matter forever, it stands to reason that there must exist something beyond that and that something could be everywhere.
Perhaps beyond this micro boundary and possibly beyond the macro boundary too, is where God’s Spirit is. He is the beginning and the end. The smallest and the biggest. He is bigger than the universe and can dwell inside the smallest particle. He dwells in the universe by his spirit and is also outside the universe because it is said that not even the universe cannot contain him.
Just ideas, and a possible way to see how creation is sustained by God. So unlike the view that God doesn’t exist because we cannot see him, or that God is the Universe itself, this can explain why we can’t see God and why he is not the the atom itself. It also explains how God can be in everything and yet not be everything, rather he can reside in all things and beyond the Universe too. Maybe the most extreme macro and micro scales are the same thing, the place where God’s Spirit resides.
So I postulate that his Spirit is inside the smallest things that make up creation. If we were able to drill down far enough, the Physical realm would give way to another realm.
So what is the smallest thing/things in the universe? We know there are sub-atomic particles, but Physicists think that all these particles could be different waves of the smallest of things they call strings. Hence ‘String Theory’. Physicists have known for 100 years or so that the sub-atomic world is just weird and the absence of something visible that accounts for all the missing gravity in the Universe is also weird.
One explanation that answers both is that the gravity is coming from another dimension and influencing our dimension. And where is this dimension, well it might actually be the spiritual realm. But where is the Spirtual Realm in relation to the realm that we see?
Have you heard the saying, “follow the money”? That can be one way to solve a crime. So what should we follow in order to know where God’s Spirit exactly resides? I would hazard a guess and say that we follow energy. And why energy? Because God created all things. He was the first mover. So just as following the money can lead us to the perpetrator of a crime, perhaps following energy leads us to the first cause which we know is God.
It is common knowledge that the smaller you shrink down the more concentrated the energy. A Kiwi by the name of Rutherford was the first to split the atom. And isn’t it weird that when you split the smallest of things, you can release the biggest of energies. This is why the Atom bomb is such a devastating weapon.
So if we follow the energy, we see it is coming from or in concentrated form within the atomic world. But what is beyond the atomic world? It could be the spiritual realm and beyond that, the Spirit of God and hence why HE can reside IN ALL things.
But what other tantalizing clues point to God’s spirit being there? Well for one thing, in the sub-atomic world, it is said that an electron resides everywhere. Rather than spinning around the nucleus like a planet around the sun, each electron is everywhere you look. Time doesn’t seem to work here. Also, sub-atomic particles can’t be boxed in. When scientists try to do that, these particles always break through because it seems impossible to contain them.
In our realm, if you throw a ball at a wall, it will bounce off the wall, unless you throw it hard enough and the ball is hard enough. A sub-atomic particle always breaks through the wall no matter how much energy or how fast or slow it is travelling. Physicists think that because of the omnipresent nature of these particles, it is possible that these particles can borrow energy from the past and the future in order to always remain free or that the particle was already beyond the wall at the same time you tried to trap it inside the wall. In other words, time, space, and our reality break down. So it seems that sub-atomic particles and the Quantum realm are one thing, while the physical realm that we observe is another.
But therein lies a paradox. We are made up of these particles, but it seems that the bigger the collection of particles, the more we are subject to the laws of the Universe or dimensions such as time and space. So what happens when we die and we are free of the body of these particles? Are we then in the realm where time and space no longer affect us? And if so, who resides at the deepest level where time and space is no longer affecting us. And if we could travel in time and meet ourselves, would we see another you, a copy of you, or would you be both persons in two bodies? I think the latter, but God doesn’t allow this to happen using his laws to accomplish this.
Is it not God that is beyond time and space. And surely he is beyond his own creation. Perhaps what we think of sinking down to the level of the smallest of things is in actual fact an ascension into the highest of realms?
More questions than answers I know. But I do like this following scripture:
Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.September 19, 2013 at 7:22 pm#777732AnonymousInactivewhat i came to understand about where God almighty is ;
is to me OUTSIDE OF HIS OWN CREATION ;NOT PART OF IT ;BUT HIS SON HIS PART OF IT IN FACT he his the beginning of it ;this Paul describe in Col 1;- the son being the image ,made of similar substance than his father is entirely common sens because their was nothing else prior to the creation of the son ,but it should be also understood that the son his not the same as his father ;he is created the first and so the closes that it could be possible to be to the father ;
Paul also says that all thing where created through him ;what would it mean through him ??? would he be the agent by which God created all other things or would he be the foundation like Adam was the foundation of humanity ,what the scriptures are saying is that the one that was created the very first was witness of all creation Pro;8; 22-
but over all what was the real purpose of God to create all things through someone else than himself, we may ask ?
for that answer we should look to the rules that govern the heavens and those who live there ;
part one ;
November 28, 2015 at 9:10 pm#805262ShayneParticipantIt has been said that the smallest of the string theory particles are vibrating at a frequency that would emit sound ,,,,As in scripture, would not these particles of immensely small proportion ,be singing the praises of God almighty ???
I perceive that the Spirit of God and God almighty ( one and the same ) are on a spiritual plane and NOT a physical plane
December 3, 2015 at 11:45 am#805522ProclaimerParticipantSome good reflection from you Shayne 🙂
January 30, 2016 at 9:12 pm#808172NickHassanParticipantHi ,
God is in heaven as that is where Jesus said to pray to Him.
But as Paul said in Acts 17 He is close to all men.
By His Spirit of course which permeates creation. Ps 139
January 31, 2016 at 10:50 pm#808243ProclaimerParticipantNick, I think this went over your head.
We all know that God the Father is in Heaven. No one is arguing against that. But scripture says that Jesus mission is to redeem/renew creation so God can dwell in all and by his spirit I imagine. So how is that. Well I postulate that he could be inside the smallest building block of the atom, thus he could reside in all things or matter. Or his spirit has a place in creation at a certain level where he resides, but is not detectable by our current science. They haven’t even detected our spirit in us.
People say that science hasn’t found God. In fact they are not even sure they have found the fundamental particle yet. But if they were able to see beyond the smallest particle, what would be there. God’s Spirit, energy, eternally small matter…?
Further, God is in Heaven, but we are told that not even Heaven can contain him, thus he is not restricted by his own creation. Therefore he could exist outside creation too, but pervades creation by his spirit.
Some who have had visions of the throne see the son of God, and the glory shining upon him from what appears to be eternity, even outside creation itself.
Without reading my first post again, I would have thought that I mentioned these points. Perhaps you didn’t read it fully.
February 1, 2016 at 6:06 am#808249NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
God is not scientific despite your best efforts to teach that He is.
Yor boxes will never be BIG enough.
February 1, 2016 at 8:37 am#808253kerwinParticipantT8,
I like philosophy but some of it is nonsense. I do no move at a constantly decreasing velocity and there is a distance so small that it does not make a difference. If I really wanted to go somewhere I would not reduce my decelerate to get there unless I was afraid of overstepping my goal or endangering my or someone or somethings else’s safety. If I did choose to do so for some strange reason I would still reach my destination because as some point the distance between me and it would be irrelevant.
Scripture us that God is all present but since he created all things that are he existed before there was space or time to be in. In short I cannot comprehend “where” he is but saying he is “all present” is good enough. His center of power is in heaven, even the highest heaven.
God’s Spirit is not present in unbelievers as their fruit reveals. God Spiritually lives in those who walk by the Spirit through his Spirit. This is different that the idea he is physically all present.
February 1, 2016 at 12:08 pm#808265AndrewADParticipantDid not St Paul in Acts say to unbelievers that “in Him we live, move, and have our being”? and this he was quoting from a Greek philosopher. So all people live in and are actuated by God so his Spirit dwelleth in all and gives them all breath as it is said somewhere else in Holy Bible.
But surely God is sometimes visiting his son on Planet X and other family members on Venus where I’ve heard that gambling is legal. Or maybe it’s Jupiter that’s associated with gambling.
February 1, 2016 at 12:47 pm#808267NickHassanParticipantHi Andrew,
Indeed our own spirit comes from the Father of spirits.
He is aware of our thoughts and intentions by this connection as proverbs tells us.
But this is not of the Spirit of God . The spirit of man returns to God at our deaths as Ecc 12 shows us.
To be given a share of the Spirit of eternal life is a privilege gained when we are reborn into His Son.
We need the waters of life that the Son gives.
February 1, 2016 at 1:29 pm#808269AndrewADParticipantAnd so the waters of life that the son gives is baptism? is that correct according to you? Acts 2:38 boo-ya!
February 1, 2016 at 1:33 pm#808270AndrewADParticipantBut where is God exactly? everywhere? in the mystical heaven? in a box in Ethiopia? or under the temple mount? or maybe the magic box is in France,England or even America as brought here by the Knights Templar?
February 1, 2016 at 4:59 pm#808277NickHassanParticipantHi Andrew,
No.
The Spirit. Jn 7.39
February 2, 2016 at 2:56 pm#808301AndrewADParticipantSo God is actually/exactly in our bellies Jn 7:38? I think I hear him calling and he’s saying “feed me please”.
February 2, 2016 at 3:10 pm#808302NickHassanParticipantHi Andrew,
Their god is their stomachs rings a bell.

Nick, science means knowledge. It is shameful how you attack those who seek tho know about God in every way.
What causes you to attack people’s innocent faith. What spirit are you of?
Those who are born from above are known by their love. It is Satan who opposes people’s faith.
You should be ashamed of yourself for the way you are conducting yourself in these forums.
February 4, 2016 at 10:00 am#808368NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
In what way do you feel personally attacked?
I am sorry if you feel this way but your expressed beliefs are fair game.
Test all things and hold fast to what is good.
Seek the Spirit.
February 5, 2016 at 10:36 am#808430ProclaimerParticipantNick, I am not concerned for me with your attacks, I am concerned for you. That is the truth. God is my witness.
Some call it bullying what you do here, but I would prefer that you challenge the idea or scripture, rather than judge the person.
I know that you have chased some off here with these kinds of attacks, but I let it be as everyone is learning and I am not a control freak.
But the time has come for me to speak up, especially now that you have decided to judge me repeatedly. So I feel I can say something as I am not butting in.
I am secure in my relationship with God to handle these kinds of accusations and I even listen to them to see if there is any truth to them.
But a constant barrage of accusations is not from God. This is the Devil’s work.
You should be concerned about judging everyone on here but yourself. You should move that judgement to yourself, not others.
Judge yourself and the ideas expressed here. But don’t attack others as that is called bullying.
If you have no good thing to say, then perhaps there is a lack of goodness in your heart? I don’t know the answer to that.
But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
February 5, 2016 at 12:58 pm#808431NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
It would be best if you also could hear the Spirit.
Then we could resume dialogue.
February 5, 2016 at 1:29 pm#808432kerwinParticipantt8,
Be careful not to adapt God to the teachings of scientists as they can be and are sometimes wrong. Soft sciences are open to bias than hard science and anything dealing with the past is heavily into the soft sciences.
