How confusing. Why are the “Believers” threads finding their way in the “Skeptics” section? You all voted to have Muslims included as “Believers”….
December 7, 2009 at 3:43 am#173335ProclaimerParticipantNo we didn't all vote that way.
A topic that is outside of true faith or what the Believers Place is about, is put here. After all, BD is skeptical about biblical scripture and what it contains. So if he starts a topic that is skeptical of what is written in scripture, then it is moved here.
He also promotes the Koran in these topics and the Koran is also skeptical, in fact more than that, condemning. So such topics do not fit the Believers Place criteria. If it did, then in fairness we would need to open that area up to all again.

In otherwords the vote was for show and of no effect.See it reminds me that what is written someplace is not always what actually happens.
Anyone who would go to that post it would appear that I should be able to post there but the truth is not in the results there but in the action took putting me here.
December 10, 2009 at 2:49 am#173418ProclaimerParticipantThe vote was to see if there was an overwhelming opinion against it. There wasn't. One of the voters already admitted they voted for the wrong option when they fully understood the question. So that was about 50 50 and technically speaking you or these types of posts could have been moved at anytime according to what is discussed in “Believers Place”. After all other people and discussions have been moved for the same reasons.
“Believers Place” category was created for dialogue among believers of God and his Christ. This was necessary because some people were simply using this board as a promotion for their religion (including atheism). So rather than delete such discussions, there now exists an appropriate place where they can post.
It just keeps things tidy and stops every conversation degrading to arguing over unbelief of the topic and to whether Jesus is the son of God or whether God exists at all.
Now we have a better organised board. Unbelief can challenged belief and vice versa, while belief challenges belief as iron sharpens iron.

Then you prove what I said because IT was Clear that I BELIEVE IN GOD and HIS CHRIST it is all recorded for everyone to see and that is why I am going to stop posting here after today(Unless God tells me otherwise) because hypocrisy is an awful trait.December 10, 2009 at 4:57 am#173420StuParticipantInvolvement with Heavennet can feel a bit like living in an islamic republic at times, but once you see through the fundamentalism (if you can!) it is really quite welcoming, especially by comparison with other similar fora.
New Zealanders just cannot help being hospitable, even the ones who are deluded enough to believe in angels and demons and gods and creationism!

You are totally right stu, and I really appreciate your acceptance it is really a blessing. I would have not even posted that much today had it not been for your wit but I really don't know what I am going to do but either way you are showing more grace than the staffDecember 10, 2009 at 5:28 am#173422Ed JParticipantQuote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 10 2009,16:04) Quote (Stu @ Dec. 10 2009,15:57) Involvement with Heavennet can feel a bit like living in an islamic republic at times, but once you see through the fundamentalism (if you can!) it is really quite welcoming, especially by comparison with other similar fora. Hi BD,Don't tell me you are not allowed to participate on the thread…
“Should a muslim be able to post in believers area?”If you are barred from that thread, that is outrageous; because it is about you.
You should have the right do defend your belief!I did not vote “for” or “against” you in the believers section,
but I do stand against censorship of any kind.I could not vote “for” you, because of what you promote.
I could not vote “against” you either, because you have a right
to believe whatever you want; that's “FREE WILL”!December 10, 2009 at 5:40 am#173423StuParticipantThis is just standard issue fundamentalism Ed. I couldn't vote one way or the other for BD, because although I have many beliefs I am considered a non-believer and therefore not fit for involvement in fantasy story manufacture. At least I have been kind of up-graded recently to skeptic, in a round-about kind of way.
For what it is worth, I agree with you. If you have a load of nonsense to unleash on the world, you should be allowed to make yourself look silly!
Christian fundies will baulk though at huge tracts of the koran being posted. It is discourteous, mainly because it takes so long to work out which bit of religious nonsense the poster is really on about.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son”But you should not read LOVE as SALVATION but opportunity.
All are not saved in the world and neither are all the enemies of the gospel in your verse.
