LU…….Do i believe Jesus is the only Son,  yes and No,   He is the only begotten son “born again” from the dead so far, of the Son’s of God, the first  “of many to come” . AS SCRIPTURE SAYS.  All who have the spirit of God abiding in them are “begotten of God”   and at the resurection shall also have eternal life, just the same as Jesus does, no difference.  “you must be born again”,  Jesus was also born again at his resurection from the dead, by the Spirit of the living God that dwelt in him.  He is the first to be born again, not the only.

I do not seperate myself from being “exactly like my brother Jesus Christ , our king brother”,  who God my Father and his Father,  has put over us all.

Satan dosen’t want you to believe that LU, he want you to believe Jesus is completely different then we are, so you will loose , “FAITH” in God the Father, “the “ONLY” TRUE, God,  and become an “IDOLATOR”,  like nearly all of  “fallen Christanity” has done.

Remember John’s final words , “little childern keep yourselves from “Idols”.  He understood that was going to be the big problem in the churches,  that false teachers would create,  the false “image” of a,  FLESH AND BLOOD MAN , (JESUS)  and turn him into a God, creating “the man of sin” and this “iniquity”, would  cause the Church to fall into IDOLATRY.  2ths 2.  , It’s all there for those who have the eyes to see.

Peace and love to you and yours LU……..gene

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for your reply. How do historians know that there is no afterlife?

Hi Sis Kathi, it’s all the imagination of any religion on “Afterlife” nothing real and can be proved.

Stephen Hawking once said this: “I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers. That is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.”

    Hi LU

Berean, I get the impression that you agree with everything in the OP and could stand with me and confess all of that in the midst of that congregation that I was in on Easter Sunday.

I didn’t read it all and only reacted to the words “eternally begotten”
I’ll take the time to tell you the rest later.
    God bless

    Hi Adam,

The brain is amazing and does die and decay. However, the soul is what I am asking about that goes on to an afterlife.

Do you believe that there actually was a man named Jesus of Nazareth? Do your historians believe this?

Hi Sis Kathi, I know you will not leave me freely with your unending questions. After all the “Soul” or “the Spirit” are the basic definitions of any major religion in this world. But our scientific world does not differentiate either of them as human brain/mind. It also calls them as Psyche. The so called Afterlife and punishment/reward are all the concepts of all major religions.

Of course the Jewish man Jesus might be an historical person of First Century CE. There is nothing to believe on this for historians.

    Hi gadam123,

    You said:

    Are my questions bothering you?

You said that Jesus might be a historical person of the first century, why “might be?”

Also, are you aware of there being many testimonies of NDE’s from people who were clinically dead but came back to life?

His sis Kathi, no your questions are not bothering but are of not much use for a skeptic like me.

Yes Jesus ‘might be’ an historical person as there are number of doubts on his life stories written in those religious books.

NDE can not be evidences for the so called afterlife as they are personal stories influenced by religious, social, cultural backgrounds.  Most of these near-death experiences result from serious injury that affects the body or brain.

In fact the Hebrew Torah talks almost ‘nil’ on this so called afterlife.

    Hi gadam123,

How do you, being a skeptic, determine truth? Also, why are you here on HN?
