Was reading the news today, with such headlines as “Saudi Arabia demands end of Russian airstrikes”, “US warns Russia of consequences of airstrikes”, “Hundreds of Iranian troops in Syria”, etc.
It’s like the world is gathered in Syria, but are nearing a war with one another. Is there a connection to the final battle of Armageddon (Rev 16:4, and Rev 20:8,) where apparently the nations are deceived and are gathered together in one place for a final battle?
October 2, 2015 at 7:46 pm#803280ProclaimerParticipantCould be. There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars, among other things. Certainly looks like it ticks some of the boxes. We need to keep watching and waiting and not fall asleep. And we will not be in darkness to that day.
October 2, 2015 at 7:49 pm#803281ProclaimerParticipantIt is interesting to see Russia and Iran as allies. We know how much Iran hates Israel and if the war in Syria escalates, how will this play out for Israel. One option is a Shia Sunni war with the winner going on to attack Israel. If Russia and Iran takeover ISIS territory, where would they go from there.
Interesting times, but we need to pray for our brothers and sisters that they will not abandon their faith and remain faithful even unto death.

Good advice thanks.
And we will not be in darkness to that day.
Only one thing comes like a thief in the night. (Watch that that day does not sneak up like a thief in the night).
October 2, 2015 at 10:48 pm#803283MiiaParticipanthow will this play out for Israel
Israel seems quiet. I heard at one stage Israel and Russia were teaming up?
October 2, 2015 at 10:58 pm#803284MiiaParticipantIt just seems odd that many major countries are gathering in Syria. We have the US, now Russia, now Iran, who else.
The Syrian government is supported by Russia and Iran.
Support toward the other side (Syrian Government opposition) includes the US, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar.
North Korea no doubt would be anti west, so would support Russia and Iran.

I believe that the stage is being set for those events described in Ezekiel 38.
Love in Christ,
MartyOctober 4, 2015 at 10:57 pm#803334MiiaParticipantThanks for that information Marty, I’ve heard that before. I’ll take another look.
It seems like after America’s fluffing about, Russia has stormed in and almost obliterated ISIS in just a few days. Interested where this will lead.
October 5, 2015 at 11:24 am#803345ProclaimerParticipantIsrael seems quiet. I heard at one stage Israel and Russia were teaming up?
Strange alliances. Iran the ally of Russia hates Israel.
As for Israel being quiet, here is what I think.
For them, both Shia and Sunni Islam are their natural enemies. My opinion is that Israel is not going to step in and stop them fighting each other. They would prefer to let them weaken each other and Israel doesn’t have to lift a finger. Seems brutal, but Israel’s main concern is their own existence.
To some degree, I think the USA has this attitude too, hence why they haven’t annihilated ISIS yet. The Russians have a different view, so they will probably get the job done if anyone can.
October 5, 2015 at 11:30 am#803346ProclaimerParticipantAnd let us not forget the prophecy regarding Damascus and how it will cease to become a city.
Isaiah 17:1
The oracle concerning Damascus. “Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city And will become a fallen ruin. Not sure in what context the prophecy was given or to what time period, but Damascus is still a city from what I can tell, even though it is already a heap of ruins from this war.
October 5, 2015 at 11:19 pm#803361MiiaParticipantWho exactly is in Syria fighting? I Googled it but got no answer. I know the U.S and now Russia and Iran are, but who else?
October 5, 2015 at 11:21 pm#803362MiiaParticipantThe Russians have a different view, so they will probably get the job done if anyone can.
Yes, but where to from there, if anywhere. It could go two ways. They do the job then go home, or something worse happens, such as the U.S and Russia go to war against each other inside Syria. Sorry I had not been following up till now.

What do your dreams tell you?

October 7, 2015 at 2:20 pm#803385MiiaParticipantEd,
Please just answer the question, otherwise I might ASSUME your answer, (as ‘No’).Would you take into your house a Syrian refugee, (one week, one year, whatever).
Say an add is on your television, radio or newspaper urging Americans to accommodate and feed a Syrian refugee, (at your own expense) would you?
October 8, 2015 at 10:42 am#803398Ed JParticipantHi Miia,
FACT: I rent, and I cannot have anyone that is not family stay with me.
I stick with FACTS and don’t entertain irreverent hypothetical questions. So don’t ask: “if you could, would you?”
I’m starting a new thread to inform you and others the truth of islam,
We can discuss anything you want about islam on that thread; OK?_______________
God bless
Ed JOctober 8, 2015 at 2:25 pm#803411MiiaParticipantHi Ed. Why would you not want to take in some Syrian refugees? Why does your rental agreement say you cannot have anyone else there? Our house is only small, and we would not have enough income or food, but God provides. Did not Jesus feed the crowds? We could always ration the food, or make do with “doughboys” (flour, salt and water made into paddies and fried in oil) and potatoes and butter. As for our rental situation, I either would not tell my landlord or I would tell them and defend the right to have them stay as guests, I’m sure they would have a heart. Remember Ed that when Jesus comes he judges on what you did or did not do to him (the least of these). Has nothing to do with a person’s religion.
