Here let it be noted as a curious chapter in sacred history that the numerous divine Trinities which have constituted a part of nearly every religious system ever propagated to the world were composed, in every case, of male Gods. No female has ever yet been admitted into the triad of Gods composing the orthodox Trinity. Every member of the Trinity in every case is a male, and an old bachelor—a doctrine most flagrantly at war with the principles of modern philosophy.
For this science teaches us that the endowment of a being with either male or female organs, presupposes the existence of the other sex; and that either sex, without the other would be a ludicrous anomaly, and a ludicrous distortion of nature unparalleled in the history of science. As sexual organs create an imperious desire for the other sex, no male or female could long enjoy full happiness in the absence of the other party. What an unhappy, lonesome place, therefore, the orthodox heaven must have been, during the eternity of the past, with no society but old bachelors! The Trinity was constituted of males simply because woman has always been considered a mere cipher in society—a mere tool for man's convenience, an appendage to his wants. Hence, instead of having a place among the Gods she led the practical life of a servant and a menial, which accounts for her exclusion from the Trinity. But the time is coming when she will rule both heaven and earth with the omnipotent power of her love nature. Then we shall have no “war in heaven,” and no fighting on earth.

Hi Stuart,And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: (Hosea 1:6)
God bless

Is it fitting that the only female born and named by God would be called Loruhamah, which means in Hebrew, unloved, she hath not obtained mercy?
Women just seemed to have very little value to God.

Both ideas exist in Catholicism and Babylon.
Some believe the former to be a derivative of the latter.November 22, 2011 at 9:33 am#264906ProclaimerParticipantQuote (TimothyVI @ Aug. 03 2011,08:00) Women just seemed to have very little value to God.
I think there would be a lot of woman that disagree with your statement.November 22, 2011 at 12:09 pm#264915seekingtruthParticipantGalatians 3:28
Now, in Christ, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Greek, a slave or free, male or female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.December 29, 2014 at 2:06 am#787892princessParticipant@T8, I would tend to disagree with you. there really isn’t much in the bible through a female perspective to make her feel like she is worthy as a male. the bible is and cannot be disputed that it is male gendered.
find a prophet or disciple that is female in the bible. you don’t. all the titles have been given to the male. why is that?
you want to know the definition of a whore in Babylon times-chosen women to birth children for the gods. She had to bore three children with three different gods to really be considered a whore.
why do you think many women are wiccan in faith, because they feel welcomed into a world full of women deities. your religion doesn’t really make room for women to breathe.
it’s not your fault by any means. it is what is written. you watch those witnesses one will be a woman or maybe both, one passage in the bible where no gender is attached or names. The Islamic, Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Catholic’s alike will be falling away like flies from the faith. Ha! They will not be able to accept that a woman was given power. They will roll in ash and sackcloth and say that they were sent to deceive us. they are the true whore of Babylon.
just passing thoughts.
December 29, 2014 at 7:23 am#787898NickHassanParticipantHi Princess,
Since time began men have tried to devise a religion and a god that suits their particular needs.
That will continue.
But the God of Israel is the one true God Who has revealed His nature and powers to mankind.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

Your holy spirit
illuminates the dark places of the heart
of your servant,
with light like the sun.
I look to the covenants made by men,
worthless.
Only your truth shines,
and those who love it are wise
and walk in the glow
of your light.
From darkness you raise hearts.
Let light shine on your servant.
Your light is everlastingThanksgiving scroll with great delight Ryan!
December 29, 2014 at 11:22 am#787902ProclaimerParticipantFemale deities were rated quite highly in Paganism Trinities and as goddesses.
To name a few there is the Queen of Heaven, the Mother of God, and Diana.
Acts 19:28
28 When they heard this and were filled with rage, they began crying out, saying, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” 29 The city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed with one accord into the theater, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia.…Artemis was one of the most widely venerated of the Ancient Greek deities. Her Roman equivalent is Diana. Some scholars believe that the name, and indeed the goddess herself, was originally pre-Greek.
WikipediaOf course we do not believe in pagan deities or triune gods, but one God and Father of all. But just because God is called a father doesn’t make him a male. He is not a man and he actually made mankind in his image, male and female he created them. Thus, if mankind is his image, then God has both male and female non-physical characteristics. We see that God as Father is likened to a hen protecting her chicks for example.
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.
Further, as mentioned before, there is no female or male in Christ, just as there is no black or white. In Christ we have equal status as sons of God. God is no respecter of persons like people tend to be. God gives the greatest respect to those who are mosts like him. For God it is about your character, not your gender or race.
I don’t buy this whole idea that females are less important to God. I buy it with some cultures in the world, but not the Kingdom of God.

I agree t8! For instance, a woman can equally receive the Holy Spirit and ‘of’ the Holy Spirit just as a man can. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for all (regardless of gender) who make Jesus LORD of their life. At the same time, regardless of gender, if people do not make Jesus the LORD of their life…they fore go these gifts. Those who are not born again can have a sense of these qualities but will always fall short of the maturity that is possible only with Christ in these things.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
December 29, 2014 at 3:29 pm#787919princessParticipantreally T8, your going to bring Paul into this. the story has no lesson or meaning to it. just a community evolving with their gods. Phoebe was Paul’s greatest follower, her text was not accepted as scripture. FYI, Paul didn’t go to her aid either. So please when we discuss matters of Paul I’m not the bit impressed.
Interesting take on the matter though for you to choose Artemis, my son is named Ryan. He is the only man I have ever given my heart to.
the count was 9-male in your 81 word paragraph to explain to me that the bible is not male gendered . maybe if you could write without using he.December 29, 2014 at 7:18 pm#787924NickHassanParticipantHi P,
Do you find fault with the ways of our God?

Paul?

God was at work in him too to will and to do.
You judge him and you judge God
December 30, 2014 at 11:24 pm#787950CamilliaParticipantPaul can be quite controversial.
December 30, 2014 at 11:39 pm#787951princessParticipantHello Nick,
there are a lot of Paul’s in this day and age. there is no judgment, just no spark. ecclesiastics is one of the most smallest books of the bible and it gives all kind of sound and vibration.
