Thinker………..It would be wise of you to worship and give Glory to whom Jesus worshiped and gave Glory to. Saying ” FOR I HAVE GLORIFIED (YOU) ON THE EARTH”. Again “I have given them (THY) words”> And again ” the Father in me (HE) doth the works”, Jesus plainly Said “FOR THOU ART THE (ONLY) TRUE GOD”, if you could start there and believe what he said that would help get rid of some of the delusion you have. IMO

Gene,
I do worship the Father. Jesus said that I honor the Father by honoring the Son. I don't presume I may go directly to the Father like you do. The Father will not accept worship apart from His Son.thinker
September 15, 2009 at 3:56 pm#146150GeneBalthropParticipantThinker …….If you have the Father you will have the son also, But we must worship the FATHER as the SON worshiped HIM , and Jesus worshiped the FATHER as OVER HIM , he always put himself (UNDER) the authority of the FATHER and STILL DOES. We are called to worship and obey as He does. Jesus never worshiped himself thinker. In fact said He could do (NOTHING) on his own, FOR WHATSOEVER HE SEE THE FATHER DO HE DOES LIKEWISE> He is following the lead of the Father, for he does (NOTHING) on his OWN> AS He himself said. IMO

Explain 2 Peter 3:18:(Young's Literal Translation)
“…and increase ye in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; to him [is] the glory both now, and to the day of the age! Amen.”Are you prepared to charge Peter with making a golden calf out of Jesus? By your logic this is what Peter did by attributing the glory to Jesus Christ. Then he said, “Amen.” Come on Con. Say “amen” with Peter.
Peter is an idolater also for saying that Jesus Christ is the Savior. Either Peter is an idolater or you are disobedient. You know what I think.

Nick,
Yes God is salvation. Peter says that Christ is the Savior and to Him be the glory forever and ever.Major premise: God is salvation
Minor premise: Jesus Christ is the Savior
Conclusion: Christ is GodSo the question I put to Con applies to you as well. Are you going to answer?

You prove the folly of reliance on logic and implication.
You should fellowship with God AND His son.December 8, 2009 at 11:07 pm#163043peace2allParticipantTT continues to use his imagination to come to conclusion. he claims others do,but when these people show scripture that say exactly as whats needed to answer a question and those scriptures actually talk and pertain and convey message to the fact, he comes back to only using his opinion as truth and not scripture.

Can you not grasp the book of Job?
Your conclusion that God cannot become incarnate because man is a mere “worm” rests on the words of a pre-gnostic gnostic, namely, Bildad whose speech was condemned by Jehovah Himself.King David said that God crowned man with glory and honor when He created him. Yet you choose to believe the man God condemned over the man God inspired.

God was in Christ.
Do you think Christ also was God?In Himself?
December 11, 2009 at 4:46 pm#163797peace2allParticipantfood for thought TT.
the bible says that god almighty had no begining nor end.
the bible says that god's son who is jesus was the firstborn of creation.
does the bible speak is such ways that are twisted and mystical and hard to understand when the message is clear?
why does one have to always try to interpret scriptures when it is evadent to what is the message and idea.
the bible also uses other scriptures especially jesus continuing to tell that he and his father are not equal or the same. and that our god is his god too.
thats the great thing about god's word (scriptures) they resinate truth. a clear message when used and combined with other scriptures backing it up.

To the Jew the word “firstborn” meant “supreme.” This is how Paul applies the term in Colossians 1. Back to my original point. Why did Peter say, “to Jesus Christ be the glory forever and ever?” Why did Peter say that Jesus Christ is THE Savior?thinker
