    Hi ED,
    1Jn2
15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

    Hi Ed,
    1Thess4
4 that each of you know how to [a]possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in [c]lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6 and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you.

    Hi Nick,

“But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both
they that have wives be as though they had none;”  (1 Cor 7:29)

Peter was married, but he put the Kingdom's duties before his marriage.
Are you suggesting that Peter should refrain from having sex with his wife?     (<– please answer)

    God bless

    Hi Nick,

Have you not read that the marriage bed is undefiled?

    Hi ED,
Look ahead-not at worldly “needs”. Raise your sights.
Flesh has no part in the kingdom.
    His grace is sufficient

    Who said sex is wrong?
    Who said marriage is wrong?

    I did not.

But only the body of earth demands what the soul does not need

    Hi Ed,
1 Cor 155 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?” 36 You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies; 37 and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of [k]something else. 38 But God gives it a body just as He wished, and to each of the seeds a body of its own. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fish. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown [l]a perishable body, it is raised [m]an imperishable body; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. 47 The first man is from the earth, [n]earthy; the second man is from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, [o]we will also bear the image of the heavenly

50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does [p]the perishable inherit [q]the imperishable. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised [r]imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For this perishable must put on [t]the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this perishable will have put on [v]the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Hi Ed,
    Eph 5
31 For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

Eve was taken from Adam and marriage restores that unity.
Our relationship With Jesus is eternal by design and so I expect husband and wife in Christ are to be one forever

    1) Yes, our flesh will be resurrected in the first resurrection?
                             – or –
    2) Yes, our flesh will not be resurrected?

    Which one are you saying?

    Hi Mike,

    1) Adam didn't have any parents……….

Isn't God his Father, according to scripture? And isn't a Father a parent?

But okay, let's talk Eve then. Eve was made from a combination of human flesh and the power of God. Jehovah was her only father, but she was also made from the body of a flesh being………. just like Jesus.

    Was Eve half God/half mankind?

And how about the second resurrection? Will there be human husbands, wives, and newborn children on the new earth?

I don't know what the first sentence means.

As for the second: What about all the non-Jews who are resurrected for judgment?

    Hi MB,
    Even Paul calls it a mystery.[eph 5]

Judgement is after the 1000 yr reign is it not?

    Yes Nick,

After the 1000 years. That's when each person will be raised and judged. What of those who are judged favorably by Jesus? Will they go to heaven? Or live on earth?

    Hi MB,
Those taken up to meet Christ in the air sup with him and the men of old at the marriage feast I suggest.
Then when the wrath of God is complete on earth the new Jerusalem descends to begin the 1000 yr restoration project with the resurrected Jewish people

The meek ones inherit the earth
