Exodus 20.

[2] “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

[3] “You shall have no other gods before me.

[4] “You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

[5] You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
[6] but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

[7] “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

[8] “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days you shall labor, and do all your work;
[10] but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your manservant, or your maidservant, or your cattle, or the sojourner who is within your gates;
[11] for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.

[12] “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

[13] “You shall not kill.

[14] “You shall not commit adultery.

[15] “You shall not steal.

[16] “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

[17] “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his ass, or anything that is your neighbor's.”

Was the law “done away with” as many believe it to be?

MATTHEW 5.

The fulfillment of the law.

17 'Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete them.

18 In truth I tell you, till heaven and earth disappear, not one dot, not one little stroke, is to disappear from the Law until all its purpose is achieved.

19 Therefore, anyone who infringes even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered the least in the kingdom of Heaven; but the person who keeps them and teaches them will be considered great in the kingdom of Heaven.

WHAT DID JESUS MEAN?

The new standard higher than the old.

20 'For I tell you, if your uprightness does not surpass that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of Heaven.

21 'You have heard how it was said to our ancestors, You shall not kill; and if anyone does kill he must answer for it before the court.

22 But I say this to you, anyone who is angry with a brother will answer for it before the court; anyone who calls a brother “Fool” will answer for it before the Sanhedrin; and anyone who calls him “Traitor” will answer for it in hell fire.

23 So then, if you are bringing your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,

24 leave your offering there before the altar, go and be reconciled with your brother first, and then come back and present your offering.

25 Come to terms with your opponent in good time while you are still on the way to the court with him, or he may hand you over to the judge and the judge to the officer, and you will be thrown into prison.

26 In truth I tell you, you will not get out till you have paid the last penny.

27 'You have heard how it was said, You shall not commit adultery.

28 But I say this to you, if a man looks at a woman lustfully, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

29 If your right eye should be your downfall, tear it out and throw it away; for it will do you less harm to lose one part of yourself than to have your whole body thrown into hell.

30 And if your right hand should be your downfall, cut it off and throw it away; for it will do you less harm to lose one part of yourself than to have your whole body go to hell.

31 'It has also been said, Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a writ of dismissal.

32 But I say this to you, everyone who divorces his wife, except for the case of an illicit marriage, makes her an adulteress; and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

33 'Again, you have heard how it was said to our ancestors, You must not break your oath, but must fulfil your oaths to the Lord.

34 But I say this to you, do not swear at all, either by heaven, since that is God's throne;

35 or by earth, since that is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, since that is the city of the great King.

36 Do not swear by your own head either, since you cannot turn a single hair white or black.

37 All you need say is “Yes” if you mean yes, “No” if you mean no; anything more than this comes from the Evil One.

38 'You have heard how it was said: Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.

39 But I say this to you: offer no resistance to the wicked. On the contrary, if anyone hits you on the right cheek, offer him the other as well;

40 if someone wishes to go to law with you to get your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.

41 And if anyone requires you to go one mile, go two miles with him.

42 Give to anyone who asks you, and if anyone wants to borrow, do not turn away.

43 'You have heard how it was said, You will love your neighbour and hate your enemy.

44 But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you;

45 so that you may be children of your Father in heaven, for he causes his sun to rise on the bad as well as the good, and sends down rain to fall on the upright and the wicked alike.

46 For if you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even the tax collectors do as much?

47 And if you save your greetings for your brothers, are you doing anything exceptional?

48 Do not even the gentiles do as much? You must therefore be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.'

There's a lot more information on this, but I want to
share something that you probably never heard before.

A graven image, simply means a worked artifact like a statue or monument.
BUT also look at the wording the “AKJV Bible” uses here, “Graven Image”.
A graven image is also [†††] a crucifix. (as in a marker on a grave)

“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served
the creature(Jesus) more than the Creator(YHVH), who is blessed for ever.” (Romans 1:25)

“Shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside,
that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?” (Isaiah 44:19-20)

Jer 2:27 is very interesting because of two very prophetic things are mentioned here:

“Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have
turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.” (Jer 2:27)

“Saying to a stock, thou art my father”:
this is what the religious are doing with the crucifix and a misunderstanding of Isaiah 9:6.

“and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth”:
this is what the Atheists are doing who say we originated from minerals. (minerals is what ROCKS are made of)

The early church believed that the beast of revelations would come from a revived Roman Empire (Is that not the European Nations)?

What came out of these nations?

“How to get 666 from www?

The Hebrew and Greek alphabet does not have separate characters or alphabets for numbers and letters.
Letters are also used as numbers. So each letter is a numerical value.

The Hebrew equivalent of our “w” is the letter “vav” or “waw”.
The numerical value of vav is 6.
So the English “www” transliterated into Hebrew is “vav vav vav”, which numerically is 666.”

It says not to make a graven image.
How much influence does the Television and the Internet have on us?
Is it not a reflection or kingdom, or a reflection of a kingdom.
And the kingdom of man.

To all………An image can be any created imagination of our minds also. If it is a graven image it requires physical force to create as the image on a coin or carved images. But the false image of the mind are just as deadly to people as engraved images are. In fact all images start with the mind rather engraved or imagined they all start with the mind.

The false image of Jesus being a God as recorded in 2 Ths 2 by Paul is a prime point in this. this false image of Jesus, is a lie and has captured all Christendom and has turned the image of Jesus into a image of a man of sin There is no real man of sin Paul was talking about in 2 Ths 2 it is a ( false image of Jesus ) created by false Christianity .

From that false image of Jesus came all kind of false doctrines and teachings , like God the son, the Trinity a Preexistence Jesus as a God, demigod, angel, or whatever.

This false image of Jesus has worked a teaching the separates Jesus from our exact identity with him as a human beings, but even worse it destroys the very work of God himself in and through mankind.

HE THAT HAS AN EAR LET HIM HEAR.

Hi Wakeup, I think I got that from the youngs literal translation as I was doing a literal study at the time. But I no longer trust that translation as I have found some big errors.

usually I use the RSV. Then sometimes I use biblos.com to do a Greek word study.

I did do a word study (after reading one of your posts) on the mark being “on” the hand or “in” the hand and it was “on” the hand or on the forehead.

But it doesn't really make much difference…. “on or in”.
As Gene said, anything can be dreamed up in the mind (images) and that is true.
So a mark could be literal or it could be spiritual.

2besee………I think you may have misunderstood what I was saying . I know Jesus is not the man of sin, what I was saying is that the “false” ” image” which is a “LIE” ABOUT JESUS, being a God, that was created by THE GNOSTIC'S and latter by the doctrine of the TRINITY is . Another words there is no real man of sin at all, This “false” “image” of Jesus is what Jesus will destroy by his own mouth when he returns. There is no real man of sin, there is only a false image of Jesus being a God that creates it.
