Because of your choice to disbelieve you are calling Moses a liar. Moses did not say “Jehovah your god is the god of false gods”. He was not even saying anything about false gods in the passage. The lexicon is correct about the word elohim meaning godlike one and other things and the thoughts in your mind are wrong. You have no support for them and yet you choose to stubbornly hang on to them. That is not a humble attitude.
There is but one god yet there are many godlike one. Be humble and admit you make errors and go on to the next thing.

Your logic is flawed for this reason.
My claim is Jehovah god is god of godlike ones as one definition of the word Hebrew word translated god.
You claim
God cannot be because there in only one god.
You are changing my words and then addressing the straw-man you created which is deceptive.
Because I say elohim cannot be defined as godlike one is not a sound or valid claim.
We are stuck on those two things and both of them are flawed. Neither of them are honest responses.
Nick…..”ONE VERSE”, go back and reread, i posted THREE, two in Isaiah, one from JESUS OWN MOUTH. THEE WITNESS VERSES AND YOU and KERWIN, have rejected them All. It shouldn’t even matter even if it was one verse, neither you nor KERWIN has commeted on none of them, why is that? Could it be because you can’t commit on them with you present out look of many or for that matter unlimmited gods you people think exist, by the way can you list some of these “god’s” you know to be a gods NICK? T8 AND KERWIN lisited a few of theirs, how about you, can you supply us with some more.
So far we have……earthquake gods, cities gods, peoples gods, god like are gods, can you add any more gods to the list?
O and by the way i could add more scriptures, but if you can’t except or even explain the apsolutely clear scriptures from God the Father himself and Jesus also. Why bother giving any more?

Gene is using a red herring as far as I am concerned. I am not speaking of there being multiple beings of the same kind God is. He is the only one. I am instead speaking of the fact that the word god has more than one definition. Any creditable dictionary of the English language tells us that. He just chooses to believe what is in is mind over any evidence to the contrary. Each of us get the same choice.

This is not the subject I was speaking to Gene about.
The bottom line is does Jesus from being the same kind of being as YÄ-hä-vā.
He is the same of being as David his father.
God fathered him through his Spirit just as through him he fathers many grandchildren, aka sons.
Like him they are God’s children, as of the Spirit.
It is not difficult to understand so why so much confusion.
Is it denial as you grieve for your coming destruction. I hope not.

I believe that Gene is coming to the only logical conclusion which is no matter how many definitions or meanings or references to gods there are, they are not and cannot be true references. To be a complete monotheist is to even annihilate the very thought of “gods” because there are none, there is ONLY GOD. This is one of the main issues about biblical writing it has so many traces of polytheism because the children of Israel struggled with that most of their existence and yet the fact of STRICT MONOTHEISM is the ENTIRE POINT of the ENTIRE SCRIPTURES

Israel did struggle with following false gods but it was not the point that is under debate. The issue I rose is that the words god and more than one definition and context reveals its meaning in a passage. In the book of Deuteronomy Moses tells the children of Israel that their god is the god of gods. He is not the god of false because it does not say that and two they do not exist for him to be a god of. On the other hand he is the god of those that are like him in true righteousness and holiness. For example his angels.
