Quote (Jesus name follower of Christ @ Oct. 28 2009,03:34) why do we worship God and not Jesus then seing that He is GOD?
Because Jesus is not God…if he was there would not be a seperation of character…We are to worship Jesus for who he is, and not worship him as he is YHWH.
YHWH is to be worshipped as YHWH, just as Jesus is to be worshipped as The Son of YHWH.
In the same way you honor your parents or teachers or friends for who they are. The honor you give your parents would be different than the honor you give your teachers at school.
So the Worship you give YHWH would be different than the worship you give Jesus. Although Jesus' glory is the same as The Father, their identification is different.
Example
A mann builds a computer…he then gives you the computer.
The computer makes your life a helluva lot easier. You treasure the computer like nothing else…yet you reserve a special appreciate to the man who gave you that computer…
They share the same glory in that they made your life easier…The Man + The Computer…
But the Man gave you the computer…so his worship is different than the computer's worship.
God gave you Jesus. God + Jesus = salvation and eternal life….
Their glory is the same…but God's worship should be different and held at a higher respect than Jesus' worship.
And since Jesus is the image of the invisible God…(he's not God) but bowing to him would be bowing to God himself.
For they are one in glory.

If they were co-equal beings then this is polytheism and 3 gods. If they are the same being with a plurailty of manifestation…then we can recognize that “The Father” is the true source of that plurality…and that HE manifested HIMSELF as THE SON and THE HOLY spirit. If that is so, then The Father is the only true God and Jesus and The Holy spirit are lesser manifestations of himself.
These are your only two options if you really believe Jesus is God.
First option is a sin…second option puts your right back to anti-trinitarianism for there is no good reason for Jesus needing to be God.

If Jesus were God, he would be blaspheming against his own name. (For he being God is saying he is not good)

i believe their is nothing wrong in worshiping Christ because to us he represent God and he his our mediator, the way moses represented God to Aaron is brother.
because by rendering honor and worship to Christ you just use Christ to go to God,because Christ is the true sheppart.December 1, 2009 at 7:08 pm#161658Jesus name follower of ChristParticipantthank you terraricca
