Hi T,
They should KNOW but most take it as having happened without any awareness of that blessing.
1jn 4.13, eph 1.13June 23, 2010 at 9:57 pm#199471Tim KraftParticipantJesus said God is spirit. Jesus said his words are spirit and they are life. The fruit produced from God's spirit are words of life. Words of life have no death in them at all. They have no darkness in them. God's words always produce fruit that align with life. Words that build up and create. Words that heal, mend, cause peace and well-being. By this we can know if one teaches of God or of lies. The sumation of God's word is love. The infilling of the Holy Spirit of God is when a human being accepts and consumes as much of God's words within as he can. The more the lighter/brighter he shines. Light always overtakes darkness. This is inlightenment! Much love, TK

Indeed out of the mouth comes what the heart is full of.
But make sure the light in you is not darkness.

nickthis does not explain what you say;1Jn 4:13 We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
1Jn 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.Eph 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
Eph 1:14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.unless you can explain what is the Holy spirit ,you do not know what the deposit means, right?

v 1-2 sums up what most expect.June 24, 2010 at 4:21 am#199558kerwinParticipantTim Kraft,
In reaching your conclusion you make the assumtion that the word “spirit” is used in the same way and with the same definition in two different scriptures. Can you prove that is so?
When Jesus states his words are spirit he appears to be speaking figuratively in order to make a point. You seem to be taking them literally which is in itself a snare the Devil sets for the corrupt and ignorant. Be careful and put you faith in God or you will fall into those traps.
Jesus called his words spirit as they come from the spiritual realm which is God's but they are still either spoken or written words. The spirit of righteousness also comes from God but that does not mean it is either spoken or written words but instead is a guiding force that may use words but is not actually words.
My concern here is that you seem to be supporting a written code when the code of the new covenant is to live by the spirit of love your neighbor as yourself.

v 1-2 sums up what most expect.
nickAc 19:1 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples
Ac 19:2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”
They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
Ac 19:3 So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”
“John’s baptism,” they replied.
Ac 19:4 Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”
Ac 19:5 On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
Ac 19:6 When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
Ac 19:7 There were about twelve men in allso they never received the spirit until Paul placed his hand on them ;LOOK IN VERSE 6
so most expect nothing?? in verse 1-2

nickthat is true ,but God does not use great powers for nothing,
the words of his word (scriptures) are by themselves a great power for the righteous and by following the word of god ,he using you in his work ,started by Christ until now,
the great miracles are inside of us the changes deep inside what will seal us to Christ forever.Pierre
June 24, 2010 at 3:41 pm#199683GeneBalthropParticipantTO all………..The spirit does not always manifest GOD'S POWER, it manifests GOD”S (INTELLECTS). Jesus Has these seven SPIRITS (ON) HIM Now and they are also connected with seven POWERS, Many have GOD Spirit but have no power. Having the mind of GOD does not equal having His power. Knowledge is one thing and POWER is quite another. God used his Powers through his Spirits or (intellects). IMO
peace and love……………………….gene

Scripture speaks of Jesus according to the time of his flesh.[Heb5]
It also tells us “Now the Lord is the Spirit”Yet for some strange reason folks focus on him being a god before his flesh?

The Man Jesus Christ did not exist before his conception.
The Spirit of Jesus Christ did.We are to understand that the spirit of Jesus Christ is The Word of God.
Which existed with YHVH before and forever.
So when people refer to Jesus Christ pre-incarnate…it is to be understood as The Spirit of Jesus Christ, or The Word of God.
