April 17, 2010 at 8:32 am#187498kerwinParticipantI see a link between this thread and the one titled “Righteous in God's Eyes” also in the “Scripture $ Biblical Doctrine” forum. Here is a scripture I believe bears on both threads.
John 14:10(NIV) reads:
Quote Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
I have a question is God actually in scripture or is it just the Spirit of God that is in Jesus and Jesus' way of expressing that idea is to say “The Father is in me”?

Hi Kerwin,I hope this (to your satisfaction) answers the question you pose.
The Word(The Bible=63) came by being moved or inspired of God(YHVH=63). (2Pt:1:21 / 2Tm:3:16)
The Divine=63 Deity=63 of The Bible=63 is YHVH=63!
Metaphorically you can say: God(HolySpirit) is his word;
In John 1:1 that's exactly what the Apostle John did!God bless

3 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some, letters of commendation to you or from you? 2 You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3 being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 4 Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, 6 who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit fail to be even more with glory? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory. 10 For indeed what had glory, in this case has no glory because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if that which fades away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory. 12 Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech, 13 and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away. 14 But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. 15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; 16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
NASUI believe that this passage is comparing two different covenants with two different approaches to learning God's way for us to follow.
The Old Covenant's approach was to follow the written law that was written in stone.
The New Covenant approach is to follow what the Holy Spirit is writing on our hearts.
So, which one will master you? The law written in stone, or the law written on our hearts by the Spirit. Either the laws written in stone lord over you, or the laws written by the Spirit lord over you. If you choose the laws written by the Spirit as lording over you, then the lord is the Spirit, not the written.
That is what my understanding is of this matter. Any thoughts?Kathi
The Law written in stone was the covenant God made with Israel.Exd 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Exd 32:15 ¶ And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
Lev 27:34 ¶ These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.
Meaning, the entire book of Leviticus.
If you want to know what applies to us, read Mat. 5, 6, and 7.Georg

nickyou got it right,from the beginning God planted the seed of Christ trough out the scriptures ,that is why the apostles were waiting for Christ to show himself so they could go to him,
God and Christ spirit are all written in the scriptures,by us feeding and put them in our hearts the truth of the word if we live in accord with them ,we will received approval trough his spirit now within us.

Hi LU,Yes; thanks.
People need: “BIBLE PERCEPTION“=151, to understand “BIBLE TRUTH“=117 ! (AKJV Eph.4:22-24)
“The Savior”=117 is [117=יהוה האלהים](JEHOVAH GOD); Known as “GOD The Father”=117! (Isaiah 43:11)
“The God Numbers”=151 (26, 63, 74, 117 & 151) helps corroborate “Bible Truth”=117!God's Name [יהוה] translates DIRECTLY into English as “YHVH”=63
The “Divine”=63 “Deity”=63 of “The Bible”=63 is “YHVH”=63 !
Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth
is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as
[“The Latter Rain“=151 and “former rain“=117] unto the earth.I added “Color”=63 to help grasp the “Ideas” God has put forth in His Word!
THE “THREE” MAIN “FEASTS OF GOD” (also called: “The Trinity”=148) are…1) “The Passover”=148 “The Passover”: made possible “Pentecost”=117
“Messiah: Jesus”=148 “JESUS CHRIST“=151 was the “Testator”=151!2) “Pentecost”=117 Started the “God Spirit”=117(Holy Spirit), which
“Former Rain”=117 is “GOD THE FATHER”=117 reigning in Mankind!3) “Feast of Booths”=151 begins The “HOLY SPIRIT”=151(The LORD JEHOVAH=151)
“The Latter Rain”=151 “Tabernacles Feast”=151 is the culmination of all “THREE”!A Personal Pentecost for ALL Believers!
Jesus now sits at (the head of the corner) the right hand of “GOD The Father”=117;
Geometry(Block Geomttry=151) and Gematria(The God Numbers=151) can CLEARLY ILLUSTRATE this!
“The Large Box”=117 represents “GOD The Father”=117, “The Box”=74 inside represents “Jesus”=74!Psalm 110:1-2 The LORD (יהוה YÄ-hä-vā) said unto my Lord (יהשוע YÄ-shü-ă),
Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength (“HolySpirit“)
out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. (Psalm 124:7-125:1)The “Day of The LORD” is the LAST of the “THREE” great feasts; which we are NOW in!
GOD is indeed ruling: even in the midst of his enemies! (Eccl.9:12-16 / Daniel 11:18)“YHVH is GOD”=117
PSALM 117 is [The Bible's Center Chapter], the [smallest chapter] of the [LARGEST BOOK]!Witnessing to the world in behalf of… (Psalm 45:17)
117=יהוה האלהים(JEHOVAH GOD) YÄ-hä-vā hä ĔL-ō-Hêêm!
