    YAHWEH SPEAKS
    OUT CONCERNING THE
    IMPORTANCE OF HIS NAME

Have You really ever done a complete study concerning the NAMES( Heb. Shem—not titles of pagan deities) of the Father Yahweh, and Yahshua Messiah?

Notice this is dealing with the “” NAME ” and NOT “” Titles”.

Various peoples, organizations, churches and assemblies will give every excuse in the world for not speaking or utilizing the name of our Creator. One wonders if they really read or study their Scriptures. So many of these people proclaim that they are sincerely seeking to please the Heavenly Father, yet do not regard His own personal name as being important. Have you ever done a study to see what the Creator says about its importance? Well, here is some of the work it requires, done out of love for YAHWEH and love for His own created people.

These Scriptures could be placed before the eyes of the people and distributed as helps to our assemblies as a teaching tool to reveal the Memorial Name of our Heavenly Father YAHWEH. This, I have endeavored to do in alphabetical order. May this compilation be a useful tool that will be a furtherance of the Holy Name Doctrine and our ability to share it and teach it. HALLELUYAH!!!

    1. Anointed for healing in YAHWEH'S name.

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the name of the Master,” (Jas. 5:14).

COMMENT: What name should be utilized here? The name of the Father or the Son? YAHshua taught His disciples, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you,” (Jn. 16:23.) Thus, we ask of the Father YAHWEH in the name of our Sovereign YAHshua Whose name means “the salvation of YAHWEH” or even “YAHWEH the Savior.”

“And He said, ‘If you diligently obey the voice of YAHWEH your Elohim and do what is right in His eyes, and shall listen to His commends and shall guard all His laws, I shall bring on you none of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am YAHWEH Who heals you,” (Ex. 15:26).

“And YAHWEH shall turn away from you all sickness and put on you none of the evil diseases of Egypt which you have known, but He shall put them on all those who hate you,” (Dt. 7:15).

    2. Blessed in YAHWEH'S name.

“YAHWEH bless you and guard you; YAHWEH make His face shine upon you, and show favor to you; YAHWEH lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.’ Thus they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I Myself shall bless them,” (Num. 6:24-27).

“At that time YAHWEH separated the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the covenant of YAHWEH, to stand before YAHWEH, to serve Him, and to bless in His name, to this day,”( Dt. 10:8).

“And the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come near, for YAHWEH your Elohim has chosen them to serve Him and to bless in the name of YAHWEH, and by their mouth every strife and every stroke is tried,” (Dt. 21:5).

“And those who pass by shall not say, ‘The blessing of YAHWEH be upon you: We have blessed you in the name of YAHWEH,”( Psa. 129:8).

“The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: And Aaron was separated, he and his sons forever, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before YAHWEH, to minister unto Him, and to bless in His name for ever,” (1 Chron. 23:13).

    3. Call on YAHWEH'S name.

“And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name YAHWEH,” (Gen. 4:26).

“I call on YAHWEH, the One to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies,” (2 Sam. 22:4).

“And you shall call on the name of your mighty one, and I, I call on the name of YAHWEH. And the Elohim who answers by fire, He is Elohim.’ So all the people answered and said, ‘The word is good.” (1 Kings. 18:24).

“Give thanks to YAHWEH, call upon His name, make know His deeds among the peoples!” (1 Chron. 16:8).

“I call upon YAHWEH, the One to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies,” (Psa. 18:3).

“And we shall not backslide from you. Revive us, and let us call upon your name,” (Psa. 80:18).

“Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those calling upon His name. They called upon YAHWEH, and He answered them,” (Psa. 99:6).

“Give thanks to YAHWEH! Call upon His name: make known His deeds among the peoples,” (Psa. 105:1).

“I lift up the cup of deliverance, and call upon the name YAHWEH,” (Psa. 116:13).

“I bring you a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and call upon the name YAHWEH,” (Psa. 116:17).

“And in that day you shall say, ‘Praise YAHWEH, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted.” (Isa. 12:4).

“And It shall be that everyone who calls on the name YAHWEH shall be delivered…,” (Joel 2:32).

“For then I shall turn unto the peoples a clean lip, so that they all call on the name YAHWEH, to serve Him with one shoulder, (Zeph. 3:9).

“And I shall bring the third into fire, and refine them as silver is refined, and try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My name, and I shall answer them. I shall say, ‘This is My people,’ while they say, “YAHWEH is my Elohim,” (Zech. 13:9).

“And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name YAHWEH shall be saved,” (Acts 2:21).

“And My people upon whom My name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I shall hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin and heal their land,” (2 Chron. 7:14).

“All those who are called by My name, whom I have created for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him,” (Isa. 43:7).

“O YAHWEH, hear! O YAHWEH, Forgive! O YAHWEH, listen and act! Do not delay for your own sake, my Elohim, for your city and your people are called by your name,” (Dan. 9:19).

“That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all of the heathen, which are called by My name, saith YAHWEH That doeth this,” (Amos 9:12).

“Simeon has declared how Elohim first visited the gentiles to take out of them a people for His name,” (Acts 15:14).

“That the residue of men might seek after YAHWEH, and all the gentiles, upon whom My name is called,’ saith YAHWEH,” (Acts 15:17).

“And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to Thee. Holy Father, keep through Thine own name those whom Thou has given Me that they may be one, as We,” (Jn. 17:11).

“When I was with them in the world, I kept them in Thy name: those that Thou gavest Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the Scripture might be fulfilled,” (Jn. 17:12).

“Do they not blaspheme that good name by which you are called?” (Jas. 2:7).

    5. Declare or Proclaim YAHWEH'S name.

“And for this reason I have raised you up, in order to show you My power, and in order to declare My name in all the earth.”(
    Ex. 9:16).

“And He said, ‘I shall cause all My goodness to pass before you, and I shall proclaim the name YAHWEH before you…,”( Ex. 33:19).

“O YAHWEH our Elohim, other masters besides you have had rule over us; only in you do we make mention of your name,” (Isa. 26:13).

“And I shall make My Holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and not let My Holy name be profaned anymore. And the gentiles shall know that I am YAHWEH, the Holy One of Israel,” (Ezk. 39:7).

“I have revealed your name to the men whom you gave Me out of the world…,” (Jn. 17:6).

“And I have made your name known to them, and shall make it known,” (Jn. 17:26).

“Saying, ‘I shall announce your name to My brothers in the midst of the congregation I shall sing praise to you,” (Heb. 2:12).

“I bow myself toward your Holy place, and give thanks to your name for your kindness and for your truth; for you have made great your word, your name, above all,” (Psa. 138:2).

“And in that day you shall say, ‘Praise YAHWEH, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted,” (Isa. 12:4).

    7. Fear YAHWEH'S name.

“If you do not guard to do all the words of this Torah that are written in this book, to fear this esteemed and awesome name, YAHWEH your Elohim,” (Dt. 28:58).

“For you, O Elohim, have heard my vows; you have given me the inheritance of those who fear your name,”( Psa. 61:5).

“And the nations shall fear the name YAHWEH, and all the sovereigns of the earth your esteem,” (Psa. 102:15).

“So shall they fear the name YAHWEH from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of YAHWEH shall lift up a standard against him,” (Isa. 59:19).

“But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings: and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall,” (Mal. 4:2).

“And the nations were angry, and your wrath has come, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to your servants the prophets and to the Holy ones, and to them who fear your name, small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth,” (Rev. 11:18).

    8. Give thanks to YAHWEH'S name.

“And say, ‘Save us, O Elohim of our deliverance; and gather us together, and deliver us from the gentiles, to give thanks to your holy name, and boast in your praise,” (1 Chron. 16:35).

“Save us, O YAHWEH our Elohim, and gather us from among the gentiles, to give thanks to your holy name, to exult in your praise,” (Psa. 106:47).

“Where the tribes have come up, the tribes of YAH, a witness to Israel, to give thanks to the name YAHWEH,( Psa. 122:4).

“Only, let the righteous give thanks to your name, let the straight ones dwell in your presence,” (Psa. 140:13).

“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to Elohim, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name,” (Heb. 13:15).

    9. Love YAHWEH'S name.

“…And let those who love your name exult in you,” (Psa. 5:11).

“And the seed of His servants inherit it, and those who love His name dwell in it,”( Psa. 69:36).

“Turn to me and show me favour, according to your right-ruling, toward those who love your name,”( Psa. 119:132).

“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to YAHWEH, to serve Him, and to love the name YAHWEH, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant,” (Isa. 56:6).

    10. People who called on YAHWEH'S name.

“And he [Abraham] build there an alter to YAHWEH, and called on the name YAHWEH,”( Gen. 12:8).

“…to the place of the alter which he had made there at first, and there Abram called on the name YAHWEH,” (Gen. 13:4).

“And he [Abraham] planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there called on the name YAHWEH, the Everlasting El,”( Gen. 21:33).

They [Moses, Aaron, Samuel] called upon YAHWEH, and He answered them,” (Psa. 99:6).”

“I [Jeremiah] called on your name, O YAHWEH, from the lowest pit,”( Lam. 3:55).

“And you shall call upon the name of your mighty one, and I [Elijah], I call on the name YAHWEH.” (1 Kings. 18:24).

    11. Profane not YAHWEH'S name.

“You do bring the name YAHWEH your Elohim to naught, for YAHWEH does not leave the one unpunished who brings His name to naught,” (Ex. 20:7; Dt. 5:11).

“…And do not profane the name of your Elohim, I am YAHWEH,”( Lev. 18:21).

“And do not sware falsely by My name and so profane the name of your Elohim. I am YAHWEH,” (Lev. 19:12).

“Neither shall ye profane My holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am YAHWEH Which hallow you,”( Lev. 22:32).

    12. Remember YAHWEH'S name.

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we remember the name YAHWEH our Elohim, (Psa. 20:7).

“If we have forgotten the name of our Elohim, or stretched out our hands to a foreign mighty one, would Elohim not search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart,”( Psa. 44:20-21).

“I cause your name to be remembered in all generations: therefore the people praise you forever and ever,” (Psa. 45:17).

“Till when shall it be in the heart of the prophets? The prophets of falsehood and prophets of the deceit of their own heart, who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone relates to his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Ba’al,” (Jer. 23:26-27).

    13. Sanctify or Hallow YAHWEH'S name.

“But when he seeth his children, the work of Mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify My name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the Elohim of Israel,” (Isa. 29:23).

“And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am YAHWEH, saith the Sovereign YAHWEH, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes,” (Ezk. 36:23).

“Our Father Which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name,” (Mt. 6:9; Luke. 11:2).

    14. Saved by YAHWEH'S name.

“O Elohim, save me by Your name, and rightly rule me by your might,” (Psa. 54:1).

“Because he cleaves to Me in love, therefore I deliver him; I set him on high, because he has known My name,” (Psa. 91:14).

“But He saved them for His name’s sake, to make known His might,” (Psa. 106:8).

“And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name YAHWEH shall be delivered,” (Joel 2:32).

“And it shall be that everyone who calls
on the name YAHWEH shall be saved,” (Acts 2:21).

“And there is no deliverance in anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we shall be saved,” (Acts 4:12).

COMMENT: That name is YAHshua, which has the name YAHWEH incorporated into it. YAHshua means “the salvation of YAHWEH” or “YAHWEH the Savior.”

“For everyone who calls on the name YAHWEH shall be saved,”( Ro. 10:13).

    15. Sealed by YAHWEH'S name.

“And I saw another messenger coming up from the rising of the sun, holding the seal of the living Elohim. And he cried with a loud voice to the four messengers to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea, saying, ‘Do not harm the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees until we have sealed the servants of our Elohim upon their foreheads.’ And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed out of all the tribes of the children of Israel,”( Rev. 7:2-4).

“And it was said to them that they shall not harm the grass of the earth, or nay green matter, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of Elohim upon their foreheads,” (Rev. 9:14).

“And I looked and I saw a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written upon their foreheads,”( Rev. 14:1).

“He who overcomes, I shall make him a supporting post in the dwelling place of My Elohim, and he shall by no means go out. And I shall write on him the name of My Elohim and the name of the city of My Elohim, the renewed Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My Elohim, and My renewed name,” (Rev. 3:12).

“And they shall see His face, and His name shall be upon their foreheads,” (Rev. 22:4).

“In Whom [YAHshua] ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory,” (Eph. 1:13-14).

COMMENT: It is the Holy Spirit that seals one to the inheritance of the new (or renewed) Jerusalem and which also seals with the name of salvation, the name of the Heavenly Father YAHWEH.

    16. Sing and give praise to His name.

“Therefore I give thanks to you, O YAHWEH, among nations, and I sing praise to your name,” (2 Sam. 22:50).

“I give thanks to YAHWEH according to His righteousness, and I praise the name YAHWEH Most High,” Psa. 7:17.

“I rejoice and exult in you; I sing praise to your name, O Most High,” (Psa. 9:2).

“Therefore I give thanks to you, O YAHWEH, among nations, and I sing praise to your name,” (Psa. 61:8).

“So I sing praise to your name forever, when I pay my vows day by day,”( Psa. 61:8).

“Sing out the splendor of His name; make His praise esteemed,”( Psa. 66:2).

“All the earth shall worship you, and shall sing unto you, they shall sing to Thy name,” (Psa. 66:4).

“Sing to Elohim, sing praises to His name,” (Psa. 68:4).

“It is good to give thanks to YAHWEH, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,” (Psa. 92:1).

“Praise YAH, for YAHWEH is good; sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant,”( Psa. 135.3).

“And for the gentiles to praise Elohim for His compassion, as it has been written, ‘Because of this I shall confess to you among the gentiles, and I shall sing to your name,” (Ro. 15:9).

    17. YAHWEH'S name is a strong and high tower of safety.

“The name YAHWEH is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and is safe,” (Prov. 18:10).

“YAHWEH is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My El, my strength, in Whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon YAHWEH, Who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies,” (Psa. 18:2-3).

COMMENT: Just as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Aaron, Samuel, David, Eliyahu, the prophets, etc. called on the name YAHWEH for salvation and safety, so must we in these last days.

    18. Think on YAHWEH'S name.

“Then they that feared YAHWEH spake often one to another: and YAHWEH hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared YAHWEH, and that thought upon His name. And they shall be Mine, saith YAHWEH of hosts, in that day when I make up My jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth Elohim and him that serveth Him not,” (Mal. 3:16-18).

COMMENT: The word “thought” is translated from the Hebrew word “chashab” which Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance defines as (when related to mental effort); think, regard, value, compute. Some of the words that it is translated into are; consider, esteem, find out, hold, be like, regard, etc.

From this we can deduct that we are to find out what His name is, and think upon it with the greatest of regard, esteem, value and we are to become (be) like Him, which leads us into the next category:

    19. YAHWEH is the Memorial name.

“And Elohim said moreover unto Moses, ‘Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, YAHWEH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is My name for ever, and this is My memorial unto all generations,” (Ex. 3:15).

“Thy name, O YAHWEH, endureth for ever; And Thy memorial, O YAHWEH, throughout all generations,” (Psa. 135:13).

“The way of the just is uprightness: Thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. Yea, in the way of Thy judgments, O YAHWEH, have we waited for Thee; the desire of our soul is to Thy name, and to the remembrance of Thee,” (Isa. 26:7-8).

“Even YAHWEH of hosts; YAHWEH is His memorial,” (Hos. 12:5).

COMMENT: The Creator's name is His memorial to all generations. That is what these Scriptures are proclaiming. The words “memorial” and “remembrance” in the above Scriptures are taken from the root word “zakar” which is defined as: to mark (so as to be easily recognized), i.e. to remember; by impl. to mention; also (as denom. From 2145) to be male (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance).

The question is, How can we recognize, remember or even think on His name (from point #18) if we don’t know what it is? Notice that the word for “memorial” means “to mention.” This, of course, means to speak. While the Jewish people have forbidden themselves from speaking the memorial name, it behooves those of us who have developed a special relationship with our Heavenly Father through YAHshua, to know what His name is, to highly value, esteem and regard His name, to speak His name, associating it with all of His mighty, righteous, wonderful and awesome deeds. As we do this, we are encouraging ourselves and others to become more and more like Him and His righteous ways. When YAHWEH hears this, He records these things, along with our names, in His book of remembrance (memorial). According to YAHWEH'S own word, if we treasure, remember and memorialize His name with His exploits, He will remember and memorialize us. HalleluYAH!!!

    20. Trust in YAHWEH'S name.

“And those who know your name trust in you, for you have not forsaken those who seek you, O YAHWEH,” (Psa. 9:10).

“For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name,” (Psa. 33:21).

“Who is among you that feareth YAHWEH, that obeyeth the voice of His Servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? Let him trust in the name YAHWEH, and stay upon his Elohim,” (Isa. 50:10).

“But I shall leave in your midst an oppressed and poor people, and they shall trust in the name YAHWEH. (Zeph. 3:12).

    21. Give Him the glory due His name for His works.

“Give unto YAHWEH the glory due unto His name…,” (Psa. 29:2).

“Unto thee O Elohim, do we give thanks, Unto Thee do we give tha
nks: for that Thy name is near Thy wondrous works declare,” (Psa. 75:1).

“Give unto YAHWEH the glory due unto His name…,” (Psa. 96:8).

“O give thanks unto YAHWEH; call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him: Talk ye of all His wondrous works. Glory ye in His holy name: Let the heart of them rejoice that seek YAHWEH,” (Psa. 105:1-3).

“Not unto us, O YAHWEH, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth’s sake,” (Psa. 115:1).

“Let them praise the name YAHWEH: for He commanded, and they were created. He hath also established them for ever and ever: He hath made a decree which shall not pass,” (Psa. 148:5-6).

“Wherefore glorify ye YAHWEH in the fires, even the name of the Sovereign YAHWEH of Israel in the isles of the sea,” (Isa. 24:15).

“As the beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of YAHWEH caused him to rest: so didst Thou lead Thy People, to make Thyself a glorious name,”( Isa. 63:14).

“And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for your. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto My name, saith YAHWEH of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart,” (Mal. 2:1-2)

“In Thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and In Thy righteousness shall they be exalted,” (Psa. 89:16).

    30. All enemies will be destroyed by the name YAHWEH.

“All nations compassed me about: but in the name YAHWEH will I destroy them. They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name YAHWEH I will destroy them. Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but YAHWEH helped me,”( Psa. 118:10-13).

    31. YAHWEH'S name endures for ever.

And blessed be His glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with His glory; Amen and Amen,”( Psa. 72:17-19).

“Thy name, O YAHWEH, endureth for ever; and Thy memorial, O YAHWEH, throughout all generations,” (Psa. 135:13).

s YAHWEH of hosts,” (Jer. 51:57).

COMMENT: Why does YAHWEH repeat time after time that His name is YAHWEH? Isn’t it because He is trying to make a point that His name is great and should be made known and associated with the power and glory of His might? Why do men seek to take His name out of the book that He authored and away from the wonderful works that He performs? Why do men seek to suppress His name? Isn’t it because they are His enemies and they have no delight in His name? Take away the name and the knowledge of it and then the works that the Scriptures speak of can be attributed to another, as Jeremiah proclaims, “I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in My name, saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed.’ How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets (also can be rendered as “preachers/ministers”) that prophesy lies? Yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; Which think to cause My People to forget My name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten My name for Baal,” (Jer.23: 25-27). (Baal is a word that also means master, lord, husband, etc.)

Even the Savior warned those of His day, “I am come in My Father’s name, and ye receive Me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive,” (Jn. 5:43). Such is the case today. The true names of the Father and Son have been lost to the great overall majority of the peoples of the earth. The Father’s name is His own personal name. That name is YAHWEH. The name of the Savior is YAHshua.

YAHWEH'S adversaries seek to take away the knowledge of His name and then introduce the names of blasphemy. Notice in Rev. 13 that a beast rises up out of the sea with seven heads and on these heads are the names of blasphemy (v. 1). Notice also that the beast speaks great things and blasphemies against YAHWEH, His name, His tabernacle and them that dwell in heaven (vv. 5-6). Notice also that the whole earth worships this great beast (v. 8).

The Psalmist cries out about this period of time, “O Elohim, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme Thy name for ever?”( Psa. 74:10).

“Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O YAHWEH and that the foolish people have blasphemed Thy name,” (Psa. 74:18).

The commandment is, “Thou shalt not take the name YAHWEH thy Elohim in vain,” Ex. 20:7. The word “vain” can also men desolation, evil, ruin, guile, or idolatry. This commandment can be interpreted to mean that we shall not make His name desolate. The word “desolate” means left alone, lonely, solitary, uninhabited, deserted, made uninhabitable, laid waste, in a ruinous state, forlorn, wretched, etc. If the knowledge of His name is taken away, then His name has been made desolate.

“Vain” means having no real value or significance, worthless, empty, idle, hollow, without force or effect, futile. Those who do not value His name or teach that it isn’t significant, that it is worthless to utilize His name are making it to be vain. They are making it to be without force or effect. They proclaim that it if futile to know, call upon or speak His name.

However, as pointed out in point #18, we are to think upon His name, speak it to one another and remember it with respect, honor and glory.

Those who have been enemies to YAHWEH, His name and His people will have their names blotted out, “Thou hast rebuked the heathen, Thou hast destroyed the wicked, Thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them,” (Psa. 9:5-6).

“Hold not Thy peace, O Elohim of my praise; for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause. For my love there are my adversaries…Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with YAHWEH; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. Let them be before YAHWEH continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth,” (Psa. 1-5, 13-15). “…the name of the wicked shall rot,”( Prov. 10:7).

After all the evidence is weighed in the balance of the Word of YAHWEH, can anyone presume to think that YAHWEH'S Holy Name is not important or to be respect, set-apart, and used exclusively in our worship through songs, prayers and thanksgivings? Remember what was said in the beginning of this article? “Our authority must be the Holy Scriptures!” After a diligent search of the Holy Scriptures, just what have we learned? What truths stand out in regard to the Holy name of Our Creator YAHWEH?

1.We are anointed for healing in YAHWEH'S name.
2.We are blessed in YAHWEH'S name.
3.We are to call upon YAHWEH'S name.
4.We are called by and kept in YAHWEH'S name.
5.We are to declare or proclaim YAHWEH'S name.
6.We are to exalt and magnify YAHWEH'S name.
7.We are to fear YAHWEH'S name.
8.We are to give thanks to YAHWEH'S name.
9.We are to love YAHWEH'S name.
10.Our examples called upon YAHWEH'S name.
11.We are not to profane YAHWEH'S name.
12.We are to remember YAHWEH’ name.
13.We are to sanctify or hallow YAHWEH'S name.
14.We are saved by YAHWEH'S name.
15.We are sealed by YAHWEH'S name.
16.We are to sing and give praise to YAHWEH'S name.
17.We are to run to the Strong Tower of YAHWEH'S name.
18.We are to think on YAHWEH'S name.
    19.YAHWEH is the Memorial name.
20.We are to trust in YAHWEH'S name.
21.We are to give the glory due His name for His great works.
22.We are to dance to His name.
23.We are to lift up our hands in His name.
24.We are to bless His name.
    25.His name is our banner.
26.We are to walk in His name.
27.We are to rejoice in His name.
    28.His name is excellent.
29.His name defends and helps us.
30.All enemies will be destroyed by the name YAHWEH.
    31.YAHWEH'S name endures forever.
    32.His name is great.
    33.His name is YAHWEH.
And now all peoples, I challenge you: In the magnified light of the Word of YAHWEH, how can you not worship Him by calling on His name through:

    Songs
    Praises
    Thanksgivings
    Testimony and
    Reverence and fear?
And above all, I leave you with YAHWEH'S challenge: “The prophet that hath a dream, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?’ saith YAHWEH. Is not My word like as a fire? saith YAHWEH; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith YAHWEH, that steal My words everyone from his neighbour….But the message of YAHWEH you no longer remember! For every man’s message is his own word, for you have changed the words of the living Elohim YAHWEH of hosts, our Elohim,” (Jer. 23:28-30, 36)

When a person is truely learned in the scriptures, and then comes to realize how much importance is attached to YAHWEH'S NAME( not titles), it is beyond my belief that people could keep preferring to calling the Father Yahweh by heathen paganistic idol titles such as ” Lord= Baal and Gad=God “”.

Can you honestly with a clear conscious still keep calling Yahweh the true Father by idol pagan titles after truely studying this Article?

I have a question. It's about Jesus (Yeshua or Yahshua or Yehoshua?)

I was reading this the forum and came across a guy named Pastor Adam who said that Yahshua cannot be the proper way Jesus' name was in Hebrew. He said grammatically, that is impossible, and that it should be Yeshua. You probably know more about this than him. What are your thoughts on this.

David, in Scriptural Hebrew, the Messiah had the same similar name as Yahushua( = Joshua), but with a slight difference.

If you check the New Testament Greek manuscripts, you will find the Greek name used for the Messiah as IHCOYC(iota, eta, sigma, omicron, upsilon, sigma) and other variations such as IHCOY, IHCOYN, IHCOI depending on the grammatical structure of the sentence. This is a poor attempt to transliterate the name JOSHUA from the Hebrew O.T.. In the N.T. Greek manuscripts you will find the name IHCOYC and its variations abbreviated as IC,IN, IY or as IHC, IHN, IHY (also called the nomina sacra) with a line over the top of these abbreviated letters which can stand for a name, a word, or a number in the Greek manuscripts. It is very rare to see the name IHCOYC written out in full in the N.T. Greek manuscripts.

Now that we have some idea what the name for the Messiah looks like in the Greek. We have to go back to the Hebrew to look for his true name, for he was a Hebrew of Hebrew parents and he had a Hebrew name. We can't compare Greek with Hebrew but we can compare Greek with Greek. The Old Testament was translated into the Greek about 300 years before the Messiah in the Septuagint (LXX). So if we take the name for the Messiah in the Greek N.T. and we look for an identical name in the Greek O.T. we will find that the only name that does match is the name for JOSHUA and is also written as IHCOYC in the Old Testament Greek with its variations.

In the O.T. Greek the name IHCOYC is usually written out in full but there are manuscripts where it is also abbreviated just like in the N.T. Greek.

Now that we have established that the Messiah's name in the N.T. Greek is identical to the name of JOSHUA in the O.T. Greek, we must find out what the Hebrew name is.

The name of JOSHUA in the O.T. Hebrew is usually written as YOD, HE, VAV, SHIN, AYIN (five letters) and pronounced as YAHUSHUA. But is also written in its fuller form twice as YOD, HE, VAV, SHIN, VAV, AYIN (six letters) in Judges 2:7 & Deuteronomy 3:21 also pronounced as YAHUSHUA.

However there are two forms of this name.

We have now established the name of JOSHUA in Hebrew as YAHUSHUA (yod, he, vav, shin, vav, ayin) with six Hebrew letters. We have also proved that the Messiah's name and Joshua's name are identical in the Greek. But there is one major difference between the names of these two men. And that difference is the fourth letter of the Father's name. Joshua only carries three letters of the Father's name as do other people in the O.T. . The Messiah carries the fullness of His Father's name with all four letters and so the Messiah's name is YAHUAHSHUA (yod, he, vav, he, shin, vav, ayin) with seven Hebrew letters. Some of the N.T. scriptures that prove the Messiah's unique name are: (Acts 4:12; Ephesians 1:20,21; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:4).

We also know that the Messiah's name is unique because there are other people in both the O.T. and in the N.T. with the name of Jesus. In (Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8 )the Jesus name here is Joshua the son of Nun. In (Colossians 4:11) it is Jesus called Justus. In( Acts 13:6 )there is Bar-Jesus where the word Bar is Aramaic for son.

Yeshua (yod, shin, vav, ayin) is a short form of Yahushua the true scriptural name of the Messiah, for in (Matt.1:21) it says “” thou shaly call his name Yahushua:FOR HE WILL SAVE HIS PEPLE FROM THEIR SINS””, and His Name literally means Yahweh is Salvation, or Savior of Yahweh, or Yahweh is salvation.

Yeshua is the modern short form for the older scriptural name of Yahushua.

eliyah, i've learned that the number you gave 6,828 for the number of times YHWH appears, concerns only the old testament. is it a possibility the tetragrammaton appears many more times in the new testament if it was originally written in hebrew instead of greek?

Yes, we have every reason to believe that it appears a couple hundred times in the Greek scriptures.

Yes BrandonIke it would have been even more, if the translators had not substituted those idol pagan titles in place of it in the New Testament.

Yes Your true, I was ONLY giving the Old sacred Scriptures.

Compare ( Acts 2:21) with the original texts where Peter quoted from ( Joel 2:32) and Paul in ( Rom.10:13).

The original name should have been in those New Testament texts, because BOTH Peter and Paul quoted directly from ( Joel 2:32) where the name is YHWH=YAHWEH under the title of ” Lord “.

    Yes your Right.

David, The New World Translation has the name “” Jehovah ” in ( Acts 2:21) and ( Rom.10:13) the same as ( Joel 2:32).

Yes, YHWH should would have been there, it was covered up with the pagan title of ” lord ” in those text.

Re-read the importance of Yah's True Name again, and please notice and look up each scripture in detail, it is those who DO NOT call upon His true Name who practices Idolatry, and who will receive His plaques of Wrath upon them in the end.
