I'm gonna say this…
I really hope Mercy prevails…
I heard it best in a bible study from a brother there.
He said “I really hope that all these people, make it to heaven and that because they believe on Jesus…they make it. But for me I know Acts 2:38 is what its gonna take.”
Of course they are Oneness as you all already know that I go there, I've decided to keep going there…I feel like GOD wants me there. And, I'm not gonna buck up against GOD…at least I'm trying not to …this flesh is unruly I'll tell you right now. However…I think thats what it gonna take for me too. Some of the stuff they believe I'm not so sure about I'm praying for GOD to help me either understand it as a truth if in fact it is a truth…or to give me the strength to endure the non-sense in order to get what he wants me to get from going there.
Because quite frankly…I've been to just about every church around these here parts. And none of them really have that move of the Holy Ghost that I personally know that I need.
I have to have it…and thats where I found it. Most of them as I've already stated in several other posts don't even have you come down to the alter and “Pray-Through” as us Pentecostals like to call it.Whats wrong with praying through anyway?
You sure feel a lot better after you do…maybe every one should try it sometime. You may not know how to pray…I don't know…but just go tell GOD (sincerely) that you want to “Pray-Through” and be serious about it and see what happens. You don't have to to dance on main street and do it…just do it at your coutch at home or something.
Although once you really get a good baptism of the Holy Ghost you'll most likely want to go dance in main street.Anyway, I got off my point that I was trying to make.
I hope the people that believe in the Trinity make it too …mainly because my parents believe in it religiously. It would be like trying to take the white out of rice to get them to convert to some other belief.
…of course that is how most people that firmly believe in their religion …whatever it might believe are. But to turn your nose up at a truth…is a bad thing…it says so in the bible.
Thats why I always try to leave the door open that I might have a mis-understanding…and that I might be wrong. But I don't constitute that I'm wrong till I get the word from GOD…usually when I'm praying, is when I find out that I was wrong about something.
Prayer is a super thing…you should really do that more than you do anything else throughout your day.
If I was going to preach something…it would be just what my Pastor preaches.
Pray, and pray and pray.
Then pray some more…then when you get tired of praying…pray again.I promise you GOD will hear you…and show you some stuff.
I pretty much feel like there are “Three” beings, deity or what ever the term is that you would prefer to use.
I just don't believe them in the sense that the Trinity believes in them.
We have the Almighty GOD, the Father, the Alpha and Omega…the beginning and the end. The I am that I am.
I believe that Jesus is the Son…All power in heaven and in earth is currently given to him…pretty much making him “The go-to Man” Thats what the bible teaches anyway…? right?
The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of GOD the Comforter, that was given to the Son…all these things that we have that are so good were gifts from the Father to the Son…which in turn gave them to us. At least at the moment thats the way I understand it. Now GOD is spirit…so I don't have a full understanding of that yet…but I'm still praying and I have faith that someday I will.
I know some of you most likely have a different understanding and thats wonderful…I suppose. However, firmly believe that I should seek out the Kingdom of GOD for myself. And seek out my own salvation. And good Christian or man of GOD will most Likely tell you that ..along with Repent and believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ…and be baptized.
It is a pretty good track record that no matter what religion it is you almost always must be:
Repented
Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour
Be baptized
Live for GODI think most people can at least agree on these things. right?
All this other mumbo jumbo is solely caused by people saying “well I don't like that person cause they have blue shoes”
“They think that I should pray more”
“They want me to give up this”
“I think this, so I'll start my own religion. What in the world happened?
The truth is …none of us seem to know.
We know that when Jesus was here and right after he left there was not but one way to be saved, baptized, and go to be with the Lord in Heaven.
There was not 14 million different religions about the same religion for a long time.
You know whats funny …fake GODS like the Greek GODS don't even have this many different beliefs. People that believed in them as far as I know always believed in them one way.
Why can't we do the same for our Lord and Saviour. I pray that GOD would just open my eyes so that I can truly see why this is such a problem for us. I mean what is wrong with us?
GOD loves us so much and we treat him like hes a bag of popcorn…every .3 seconds we pop a “New” belief into the picture.
We need to melt our golden calves and get back to the basics.
And realize that the only way we are getting through this life and to the next one is by GOD.There is not but one GOD the Father, that no man can get to but through his son, our Lord Jesus Christ. And no man can come to the son accept the Father calls him. Then once we repent and get forgiven and be baptized, we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost…the comforter.
All of this is in the bible as plain as day. Whats the problem with us?
March 26, 2008 at 6:17 pm#84904NickHassanParticipantHi Samuel,
You say
“I pretty much feel like there are “Three” beings, deity or what ever the term is that you would prefer to use.”The Spirit of God is never separate from God
any more than you can be separate on earth from yours.Jas 2
26As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. That Spirit ever proceeds from God and in that spirit we have access to God.
John 15:26
“When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me,1Cor2
10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
The Spirit of God does have amazing abilities. But to lie to the Spirit is to lie to God.
Acts 5
3But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?4Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
March 26, 2008 at 9:24 pm#84916SamuelParticipantThe point is that I believe it is Folly to argue about it.
The Gospel is something that men are blowing out of poportion. The desgin of this is to be simple…its Satan that confuses and complacates …even divides and conquors.
GOD is spirit so I could understand how the Holy Ghost is the direct commune and/ or fellowship with GOD. It is the spirit of GOD and GOD is spirit so it is the very spirit of GOD. However, there is a reason that there is explicit distinction of “Three” different being, manifestions, deity…what ever…everyone has a different belief and a different word that they like to use, and a different way of explaining them.
I believe that Beliving in Jesus Christ and Praying through (repenting) and Getting the Gift of the Holy Ghost…is most likely whats actually going to save you.
All this debating GODS word is not going to do anything for anyone but creat more confusion.
I believe that people should do the above mentioned things and then pray to GOD to show them and answer them the questions that they have. Every one should have some faith.
Boy…thats something I can never have to much of…I'll take all the faith I can get.
March 26, 2008 at 9:39 pm#84919NickHassanParticipantHi Samuel,
You are right in that simplicity clears up the confusion.
Keep it simple.
Keep to scripture.
There are no trinities shown there.March 27, 2008 at 4:05 am#84956SamuelParticipantWell I don't completely understand everything.
And, thus I don't believe that being “Saved” is about understanding Everything.
If you follow the instructions in the Bible being “Saved” or having eternal life…then Its quite simple really:
Accept and believe that Jesus Christ paid the price for you sins…Accept him as your Saviour and Repent. Be baptized for the remission of sins.
Some people think that you need to have the Holy Ghost…which means you should speak in tongues.
I think you need the Holy Ghost yes…weather or not it is required to have it to get to heaven…or if tongues is the only evidence of having it or not is not an understanding of mine yet.
I know that it says that not all have the gift of tongues in Corinthians
But if you don't have it…well let me say this…I don't mean to sound prideful or anything like that…but I know that with out a doubt that the Holy Ghost was all over me. And I know that I had gotten the gift of tongues. I did not have to have anyone tell me “Hey you got the Holy Ghost”.
You just know it. And man….it really really helps you with stuff.
April 22, 2008 at 12:59 am#88048942767ParticipantGrace [be] to you and peace from God the Father, and [from] our Lord Jesus Christ,
Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
Gal 1:5 To whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Gal 1:6 ¶ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

We have the privilege of revealing the forgiveness of God accessible to all in Christ.2 Corinthians 5:18

Hi Samuel,
I also agree with you. We are saved by the grace of God not by our understanding of scriptures by debating like this. It is only the action of the Holy Spirit on us not by ourselves. As you have rightly told arguement gives birth to another arguement. I see there is lot of confusion here no unity.
Let us wait and see some thing different happens here.
Peace to you

June 15, 2008 at 8:49 pm#92916NickHassanParticipantHi,
If we want to earn the praise of our Master we should teach only what is written.
A few days here will show you how many other popular false gospels exist
and how tightly men still hold them to their chest.June 15, 2008 at 10:43 pm#92918Not3in1ParticipantWe are admonished to make the gospel “attractive”.
How do you suppose we do that?
June 15, 2008 at 10:46 pm#92920NickHassanParticipantHi not3,
I think that Paul showed we should put ourselves in the place of the hearers and become able to lead all.June 23, 2008 at 7:37 pm#93804NickHassanParticipantHi,
The universalist gospel is another new gospel and we know how they should be treated.
This new gospel says we never needed any gospel after all.June 26, 2008 at 2:10 am#94165NickHassanParticipantHi,
Why did nobody in the bible tell those of the world they were already saved if universalist doctrine is true?
Instead they PREACHED repentance and Christ crucified and TAUGHT the savedJune 30, 2008 at 4:30 am#95084NickHassanParticipantHi,
So the same gospel was preached by Jesus and the disciples.Luke 4:18
” THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME,BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR.HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES,AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND,TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
Luke 3:18
So with many other exhortations he preached the gospel to the people.
Luke 9:6
Departing, they began going throughout the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
Acts 8:40
But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he kept preaching the gospel to all the cities until he came to Caesarea. There is only ONE eternal gospel.
Philippians 1:27
Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;June 30, 2008 at 6:11 am#95103chosenoneParticipantNick.
Re Phil. 1:27…For an explanation of this staement see Phil.3:6-8 …the nations are to be joint enjoyers of an allotment, and a joint body, and joint partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus, through the evangel,
7 of which I became the dispenser, in accord with the gratuity of the grace of God, which is granted to me in accord with His powerful operation. 8 To me, less than the least of all saints, was granted this grace: to bring the evangel of the untraceable riches of Christ to the nations,
You see, it was given to Paul to be the dispencer of Christ to the nations, Not Jesus, whose message was to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
You must correctly cut the word of truth (2Tim.2:15). Not your own “word of truth”.Blessings.
June 30, 2008 at 10:27 am#95116NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
He brought the same eternal gospel.June 30, 2008 at 8:46 pm#95178chosenoneParticipantNick.
No, he didn't. See Col.1:25, …”which is granted to me (Paul) for you (the nations), to COMPLETE the word of God-… Jesus gospel to the Jews, was not complete when given to the gentiles!
And more…26. the secret which has been concealed from the eons and from the generations, YET NOW was made manifest to His saints.
And again, …27. to whom God wills to make known what are the glorious riches of THIS SECRET among the nations,…Notice I use scripture to show the truth, you use none to show your apostic views that Jesus gospel was for the nations also!!!
Blessings.
June 30, 2008 at 8:55 pm#95182NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
So was the gospel of Paul not the gospel of Jesus?
Two or more gospels?June 30, 2008 at 9:06 pm#95188chosenoneParticipantNick.
Read the scriptures I just posted, they explain clearly the answer to you questions, scriptures are the truth! When proven wrong you always reply with some stange questions to deflect your ignorance of scriptural understanding. If you don't beleive scripture, just say so! Or at least acknowledge you are wrong.Blessings.
