God's truth prevails!
June 29, 2010 at 8:29 am#200728NickHassanParticipantHi RM,
Jesus is the Son of God not a manifestation of God.
O you mean the Spirit of Christ in him?June 29, 2010 at 3:19 pm#200738RokkaManParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 29 2010,19:29) Hi RM,

Then you are claiming scripture is lieing.June 29, 2010 at 3:33 pm#200746GeneBalthropParticipantTo All…………And Elihu (the only one who of Jobs three other friends who was not rebuked by GOD said this.
Job 32:8….> But there is a spirit (intellect) in man, and the inspiration ( the intellect) of the Almighty gives them understanding.
Question is if that light in you be darkness, how great is that darkness? God add Light to our darkness His spirit (Intellect) enlightens us and it gives us understandings.
peace and love to you all…………………gene

Jesus is the Son of God.
He said so.July 2, 2010 at 9:09 pm#201379RokkaManParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ July 01 2010,10:12) Hi RM,
Jesus is the Son of God.
He said so.
No, I definately agree Jesus is the Son of God.where you're lieing against scripture is when it states Jesus Christ is the manifestation of God.
I don't see why you believe it's contradictory to be The Son of God and a Manifestation of God simultaneously?
Hasn't anyone told you, God is omnipotent and omnipresent?
——-
Jesus is definately The Son of God, and God manifested as flesh simultaneously…according to scripture. If you find that hard to believe, you must also find it hard to believe that he is the son of God from heaven, yet the son of man simultaneously?
(I guess there are no paradoxes in scripture according to you?) Sike! lol

I thought God would not share his glory with another?
If Jesus is another, then it doesn't work.
If Jesus is the same, then it does.
Or else God lied in the OT according to you.To what prophet was called The Glory of God?
Jesus does not = YHVH, I repeat…Jesus is Not YHVH.
Jesus is YHVH's SON. Call him YHVH jr. if you like.If God begets, his offspring so too is God.
We see that because Jesus is HEIR to everything.
He is king of kings, lord of lords….A TITLE ONLY ATTRIBUTED TO GOD.He shares his GLORY with YHVH.
Scripture explicetly states God manifested as flesh in Christ Jesus.———
The best human analogy to understand this phenonmenon is to draw a cup of water from the Ocean. In the cup is Ocean Water. The Ocean water is just as much OCEAN as the OCEAN ITSELF. Yet the cup of OCEAN WATER IS NOT THE OCEAN ITSELF.
———
Jesus is just as much God as YHVH is, yet he is not YHVH HIMSELF.
can this be elaborated and broken down any further?
You're not arguing with me, you're arguing with scripture…I'm just the advocate.
Dear RM,If the foundation of your theology is amiss then almost all of your other concepts are too.
John 17:24 “Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
Phil 2:9-11 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Luke 9:26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
God's offspring is NOT God; he is God-natured (is this what you are meaning?) Just as Mary's offspring is not Mary but human-natured.
Actually Jesus is a priest and our Mediator. In the future he will be King of kings in his millennium kingdom.
Others have also told you that it was Jesus in the flesh (as well as the Bible).
I haven't seen one verse where Jesus is God; nevertheless where he is as much God as YHVH is. Your analogy negates YHVH being God because Jesus isn't God.
Like I said in the beginning, if your foundation is broken then most likely the rest of the structure is broken.
RM, it is good that you express your opinion…in this way you can grow….and learn; just as Jesus did from God.

Sorry, scripture disagrees with you.It doesn't say The Spirit is of God.
It says The Spirit IS God.
Hi RokkaMan,The Spirit is of God (John 15:26) and The Spirit is God (John 4:24)!

Sounds like a paradox.Quote God's offspring is NOT God; he is God-natured (is this what you are meaning?) Just as Mary's offspring is not Mary but human-natured. Since the post i've refined my explaination, and this you have posted best fits my position.
Jesus isn't YHVH, but a manifestation of.
