Mark 10:25 states: “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” This is one of Jesus’ most well-known sayings. But has it been mis translated?
In this verse Jesus is showing the rich’s hearts are for money( in a sense their god) not for entrance into Gods kingdom. Jesus gave a parable–A rich man said to Jesus, How can i enter Gods kingdom. I keep all the commandments. Jesus said to him- Go sell all that you own and give it to your poor brothers( not actually meaning to sell everything because he had to live to) but to open his heart out of love for those in need since he had an abundance. He couldn’t do it.
Entrance into Gods kingdom and gaining eternal life has more value than all the wealth combined on earth a gazillion x over.
