Believe it or not, but the N.T. reveals WHO people are really offering up praise and sacrifice of worship to if it is not done in accordance to Yah's Word.
Direct parallels exist between the Old Testament sacrificial system and modern worship. As Israel was to come before Yah, we are to appear in worship before Him now.
The worship Yahweh expects and desires of us is very precise, and building the proper spiritual character within mankind requires much time. Even getting His attention is prescribed for us in His word, and we must diligently seek Him.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to Yah must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him,” Heb. 11:6.
The Corban Offering
Notice Lev. 1:2: “…If any man of you bring an offering unto Yahweh, you shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.” This voluntary offering is known as the “corban,” an admittance or approach offering.
To approach a monarch or superior in the East, a gift is brought to secure an audience with him. It is often referred to as “the face-offering.” After the “corban” was accepted and admittance gained, then the real offering or present was given.
Ancient Israel was to present an offering of cattle or sheep, an animal or creature with which Yah had already blessed His people. Wildlife such as a deer or a wild fowl was not acceptable. The people’s sacrifice was to come from what they had raised and earned.
A Deeper, Spiritual Meaning
These animal sacrifices indicate something deeper, and carry a profound spiritual lesson for those who accept Yahshua as Savior.
Sacrifices are still with us in the New Testament, but take on a deeper and more personal spiritual meaning in our worship and daily walk. Let us examine the lessons to be learned underlying the commanded animal sacrifices and spiritual understanding we are to perceive from the various sacrificial offerings.
In the New Covenant era, we do not bring an animal to be sacrificed at the Temple. There is no longer a functioning priesthood. These animal sacrifices pointed to the atoning work of Yahshua the Messiah, Who as the perfect sacrifice paid the ransom price for the sins of all mankind. Since Yahshua’s death and resurrection, sacrificing of animals is in abeyance.
The Book of Hebrews reveals that sacrifices of animals is no longer done because of the change in the priesthood from the Levitical to that of Melchisedek. Chapter seven of Hebrews points out that Yahshua the Messiah is our High Priest of the order of Melchisedek.
( Note this was the only change in the Law).
Yahshua is the firstborn from the dead, and is referred to as our Elder Brother. As the firstborn son, He also became the priest of the family. We are a type of the firstborn, or firstfruits, (James 1:18; Rev. 14:4 ). We are being called to become priests in the Kingdom under Yahshua. We are to be teachers of Yah’s way of life.
The Calves of Our Lips
It is the “fruit of our lips” in giving thanks to Yah which is the spiritual sacrifice we are to make today, (Hebrews 13:15). (Hosea 14:2 reads “calves of our lips.”)
Thus, instead of presenting the “corban offering,” we enter into the presence of Yah with songs of praise (Ps. 100:2), the fruit of our lips. We are the living stones being built into “a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Yah the Father by Yahshua the Messiah,” our High Priest, (1Peter 2:5).
Our Savior condemned the “corban” offering wherein one might bring a gift to Yah, but willfully neglect his other duties such as obligations to his parents,( Mark 7:11). We are to be examples for others even now. The offering was just the beginning step of pure worship, a gift to get Yah’s attention.
Our Bodies a Spiritual Sacrifice
Paul clarifies what is now expected of us who have accepted Yahshua’s Messiah's sacrifice: “Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of [Yah’s] mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasant to [Yah]—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what [Yah’s] will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will,” (Romans 12:1-2 ).
With songs of praise and thanks, we extol and lift up His Name, Yah, as He has commanded us to do in( Psalm 68:4). He clearly tells us to sing praises to His Name, which we know is Yah. We are not to follow the rebellious who substitute another name or title, calling Him “L-rd, G-d, Eternal,” or whatever their carnal minds imagine.
Singing Peculiar to Scriptural Worship.
Singing is distinctive to the worship of Yah. Most clubs or fraternal organizations do not include singing in their gatherings. Eastern religions characteristically have a chant or mantra which is constantly repeated. The Scriptures encourages us to sing spiritual songs.
Singing is first mentioned when the joyful Israelites crossed over the Red Sea in (Exodus 15). They were no longer in Egypt and were now free of bondage. The Song of Moses is a great song of deliverance and victory, praising Yah for the miracles He had wrought for Israel. This song will again be sung at the end of age (Rev. 15:3) by the victorious overcomers.
It was King David who appointed certain of the Levites to minister before Yah and to thank and praise Him with instruments and song as the ark of the Covenant was brought to Jerusalem, (1Chron. 16:1-6).
The Disciples Sang too.
When taken captive, Israel refused the demand of the Babylonians to sing the songs of Zion. They would not sing Yah’s songs in a foreign land, (Psalm 137:3-4). Rather than sing these precious songs and give their captors an opportunity to ridicule their worship, blaspheming Yahweh’s name, the captive Israelites refused to sing Yah’s song in Babylon.
There was a period of time before the New Testament was written in which the early believers studied and followed only the Old Testament, for that is all they had. Singing the Psalms was common, for all 150 Psalms are appropriate for our worship.
Some Psalms command us to use musical instruments to accompany the singers: “Praise Yah with harp; sing unto Him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings; sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise,” (Psalm 33:2-3). A number of Psalms tell us to praise Yah with timbrel, harp, trumpet. Obviously used in the Old Testament, instruments are therefore acceptable in the New Testament. Some Organizations erroneously teach against any musical instruments in their services.
Singing was a custom of Messiah and His disciples (Mat. 26:30) as they sang the great Hallel Psalms at Passover before He was put on the stake.
Then, we read: “You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Yah by Yahshua the Messiah.” (1 Peter 2:5).
Question: But WHO do those of other unconverted Nations offer spiritual sacrifice to ?
Paul wrote concerning those who committed Idolatry in the wilderness under Moses, and also spoke about WHO the Gentiles offered sacrifice to.
“”” ( 1 Cor.10:1-22) Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Messiah.
5 But with many of them Yah was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust af
ter evil things, as they also lusted.7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. ( See Exod. 32:6 )
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Messiah, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
( Note what people's of the end times.)
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but Yah is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Messiah? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Messiah?
17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils( DEMONS), and not to YAH: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils( DEMONS). ( See Deut. 32:17).
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of Messiah, and the cup of devils( DEMONS): ye cannot be partakers of Messiah's table, and of the table of devils( DEMONS).
22 Do we provoke Messiah to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
These words “” demon and demons “” mentioned here and their meanings are very important.
“””
Quote Neuter of a derivative of Strongs Greek Num.1142; a daemonic being; by extension a deity: – devil, god. 20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils( demons=1140-1142), and not to YAH: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils( demons=Greek 1140-1142).
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of Messiah's, and the cup of devils( demons=Greek 1140-1142): ye cannot be partakers of Messiah's table, and of the table of devils(= 1140-1142)
All of this is quoted from( Deut.32:17) , and it is expressly forbidden, whether Gentile convert or not, and the definition of the word “”DEMON “” is “” A DEITY DEMON GOD “”, and that is exactly who people ignorantly worship today( Rev.9:20; Rev.13:3-4,8), and people are invoking and calling on the demon title of “” G-D””, which is nothing but a title of satan the devil, believe it or not.
Paul asked some very important questions in ( Rom.10:13-14).
“””
Quote 13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of YHWH=Yah shall be saved. ( See Joel 2:32).14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
And how shall they hear without a preacher?
I think those questions are still very pertinent in our modern society today too.
Who do You really offer spiritual praise of sacrifice and worship to??
Think about it.

September 26, 2005 at 12:01 pm#8897EliyahParticipantHmm, seems no one wants to comment concerning the true definitions and meanings concerning demons and of offering spiritual praise of sacrifice whether to Yah( who is not a demon deity g-d) or to satan and his demons which by definition their true titles are actually a g-d after all.
Hmm, interesting isn't it?
September 30, 2005 at 6:35 am#9002EliyahParticipantWell, it seems no one wants to face up to the truth concerning spiritual praise of sacrificial prayer and worship that is being done today concerning the real meanings of the word demon and demons which are actually heathen DEITY DEMON GODS in the Greek.
So, we will look also at the words “” idol, idols, idolatry “”, to see their true meanings in the Strongs Greek Dictionary.
There are quite a few verses of scriptures in the New Testament that uses these words, however, well will only give a few important scriptures that prove the scriptural facts concerning Idolatry.
First is Strongs Greek Dictionary Numbers 1494 and 1495.
(1Cor 10:14) Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from 'idolatry '1495.
1494 neuter of a compound of 1497 and a presumed derivative of 2380, – things offered idols 4, things offered in sacrifice idols 3, things sacrificed idols 2, meats offered idols “” from 1497 and 2999) 1.the worship of false gods, idolatry
( Rev.2:14)But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto ' idols=1494 ', and to commit fornication.
a) of the formal sacrificial feats held in honour of false gods
b) of avarice, as a worship of Mammon
2) in the plural, the vices springing from idolatry and peculiar to it “”
Now, Strongs Greek Number 1496.
Strong's Number 1496 matches the Greek eidololatres
“” from 1497 and the base of 3000, 1) a worshipper of false gods, a idolater
a) used of any one even Christian, participant in any way in the worship of the heathen, esp. one who attends their sacrificial feasts and eats of the remains of offered victims
2) a covetous man as a worshipper of Mammon
(1Cor. 10:7) Neither be ye 'idolaters 1496', as [were] some of them ; as it is written , The people sat down to eat and drink , and rose up to play .
(1Cor. 5:11) But now I have written unto you not to keep company , if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an ' idolater 1496 ', or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat .
Now, notice that the root word of both 1495 and 1496 is Greek Number 1497, and notice an interesting revealing of meaning concerning this G. N. 1497.
“” from 1491; an image (i.e. for worship), 1) an image, likeness
a) i.e. whatever represents the form of an object, either real or imaginary
b) used of the shades of the departed, apparitions, spectres, phantoms of the mind, etc.
2) the image of an heathen god
3) a false god
(Act 7:41) And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the ' idol 1497 ', and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
( Rev.9:20) And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils( DEITY DEMON GODS), and ' idols 1497 ' of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk.
(1 Jo 5:21) Little children, keep yourselves from ' idols 1497 '. Amen
Notice the meanings of Greek number 1497, from 1491; an image (i.e. for worship), 1) an image, likeness( NOTE Rev.13:15)
a) i.e. whatever represents the form of an object, either real or imaginary( NOTE Rev.13:15)
b) used of the shades of the departed, apparitions, spectres, phantoms of the mind, etc.
2) the image of an heathen god( NOTE Rev.13:15)
3) a false god
An imaginary image or likeness of a heathen deity as in ( Rev.13:15).
And take particular note of ( Rev.2:14) concerning the doctrines of Baalim.
This is ALL related to modern imaginary image of a BULL WORSHIP deity called ' god ' ( German Gott=Guth, see Article from Encyclopedia Britannica, 1911)as was worshipped as TUARUS THE BULL by the Teutonic people's upon conversion to christianity.
(Act 7:41) And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the ' idol 1497 ', and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
Except today it is spiritual praise of sacrificial worship to an imaginary image( Rev.13:15) called ' god ', which is none other than the Babylonian BAAL GOD OF FORTUNE( Isa.65:11), which are the doctrines of BAALIM( Rev.2:14), which is Idolatry worship of satan the devil( Rev.13:3-4, 8)
Look up these words and Strongs Greek Numbers 1491,1494, 1495, 1496, 1497, and also look at the Lexicon's comments at…

October 1, 2005 at 8:40 pm#9073EliyahParticipantRemember David quoted Wade Cox's Atricle of the C.C.O.G.s , in the “” Baal Gad Topic “” , where Wade Cox was calling the Creator like a bull, which is blasphemy.
Modern imaginary image( Rev.13:15) bull worship, which is in fact satan worship( Rev.13:3-4,8 ).
October 1, 2005 at 9:00 pm#9078NickHassanParticipantHi eliyah,
You are so busy focussing on names and theory it must be quite a load to carry. When can we move on to other more helpful issues or do you only have a limited agenda?October 1, 2005 at 9:07 pm#9082EliyahParticipantWhy ?
Does the truth bother you about WHO your really worshipping in your title deity you speak about with every word you write?
October 1, 2005 at 9:34 pm#9089NickHassanParticipantHi eliyah,
“God knows those who are His”October 1, 2005 at 9:48 pm#9095EliyahParticipantYea, your satan God knows those who are His
That is a title of satan the devil, as the posts above prove.
And I have proven that the ONE I worship and serve YAHWEH created the false deity called god that you worship.
October 1, 2005 at 9:52 pm#9096NickHassanParticipantHi eliyah,
Are you the only true worshipper then or are there others?October 1, 2005 at 9:59 pm#9101EliyahParticipantOh I'm certain there are others, like Paul commented about Old Eliyahu The Prophet Remember?
HalleluYAH !!
Keep them at the top, and in your face.
October 2, 2005 at 4:02 am#9138NickHassanParticipantHi eliyah,
And there they will be seen for what they are worth. Please keep it up. Maybe eventually you will catch your own reflection and start to really grow.October 2, 2005 at 5:10 am#9153EliyahParticipantMaybe I will, but you will never be there to know either will you ?
