we know that the kingdom is not for babes but for mature persons ,so it is to us to grow ,constantly until maturity in Christ perfection.

Greetings Tim….If the kingdom of God is hear already then why do we need a resurection, why does the scripture speak of an end to war and suffering and why would Jesus have to go and prepare a place or abode that we are to build in our spirit /mind and finally why would there be a need for a governing body as for all will be a law unto themselves dwelling in the mansion they built themselves….Help me here!!!
theodore; Bless you. I didn't say the Kingdom of God is here until I heard Jesus say it was here. I don't make these things up and then try to support them. Once I heard Jesus say in at least three different places that all those of God before him prophesied of when he would come and set up the Kingdom then I had to change all my beliefs at that time.Jesus actually said it was for this that I came to establish the Kingdom of God within each person. That was the end of the old temple worship. The old temple was not yet torn down but the Kingdom had been established.
Religion has distorted what resurrection is. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life….”! Its a parable, those who were dead(apart from life of God) in sin and corruptable works and rituals unto God, were shown the truth/light of the new way of Jesus. Parabolically speaking we were dead in tresspasses and sin but the truth of Jesus raised us from the dead (resurrection) and gave us new life in Christ. There is no need for war or suffering for God. Jesus was the end of that lie. He prepared a position in us. His abode. His body. His house. His temple. Heaven is spirit and God and Jesus are spirit AND THEY ARE INSIDE OF US AS SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING!
So, we died to sin, and were resurrected by the words of Jesus from God which is the new way, we washed the old beliefs away through water Baptism and are taking on the infilling of the Spirit words of Christ which is being born again of Spirit truth. He who has ears to hear let him hear. The corruptable is putting on the new incorruptable truth of God. Mortal man is reclaiming his original immortality.
There is no need for any governing body for a spirit filled child of God. His actions and deeds are the fruit of the spirit of God. He will only express peace, love, goodness kindness etc.!
When grown up in God each person is the King of his own Kingdom of God, the Priest of his own temple built without hands, Pastor, under Jesus, of his own church and a part of the body of Christ.

January 16, 2016 at 9:05 am#807316NickHassanParticipantHi,
The question is foolish because those of us in the Spirit of Christ worship God in our hearts.
We worship in spirit and in truth and this is what God seeks.
Human religion is deceived
God does not live in buildings made of human hands.
He does not want His people to attempt to please Him by obedience to the Jewish Law.

I suspicion that changing the day from Saturday to Sunday is related to the reasons Jesus’ death and resurrection was changed from Passover to Easter. Looking at the later on Wikipedia’s article on Easter I found this:
The First Council of Nicaea (325) established two rules, independence of the Jewish calendar and worldwide uniformity, which were the only rules for Easter explicitly laid down by the Council.
I know Easter was set to Sunday in that Council.
I personally choose to hold every day the same.
January 16, 2016 at 1:30 pm#807323NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
The foolish decisions of the church of the world are irrelevant to us.
It serves another god.
January 16, 2016 at 2:06 pm#807324kerwinParticipantNick,
Yes, it does but its antisemitism still effects many and that is obstacle to their understanding.
January 16, 2016 at 2:16 pm#807325NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
What did you expect of those that serve the god of this world?
In Christ there is no longer Jew and Gentile.
January 16, 2016 at 2:16 pm#807327942767ParticipantI agree with what this individual stated regarding the Catholic church changing the day that we are to keep holy from Saturday to Sunday, and that it has no authority to do so. No one has the authority to change God’s Word.
And unless we as born again believers go back to obeying what God has stated rather than what man has said, how will we ever come into unity. I have not been keeping the Sabbath, but yes, I am going to start doing so. I want to please my Father by obeying His commandments.
The so called orthodox Christian church worships Jesus as God, and that is idolatry by definition.
John 4:
Jesus stated in this conversation with the Samaritan woman that “true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth”, and our Lord prayed that our Father sanctify us by the truth, and stated that God’s Word is truth.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 17:
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
January 16, 2016 at 2:21 pm#807329942767ParticipantIn addition, Jesus stated that he did not come to change the Law but to fulfill it. He said it this way:
Matthew 5:
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
January 16, 2016 at 3:15 pm#807331NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
Jesus Christ was sent to the lost sheep of Israel and he was speaking to them.
If you think that you can please God more by obeying the Law than following Jesus go ahead.
January 16, 2016 at 3:19 pm#807332kerwinParticipantNick,
Yes, in Christ all are the people of God even though the practices of the Jews differ from those of the Gentiles. All are united in the Spirit of God.
Romans 16:17 ESV
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
Isaiah 57:14 ESV
And it shall be said, “Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people’s way.”
January 16, 2016 at 3:25 pm#807334NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
There are no such divisions in Christ because they are in the one who has torn the temple curtain.
They are the new worship of God ,not of earth, but in the Holy Place.
They have left behind the old covenant for the new.
January 16, 2016 at 4:31 pm#807336942767ParticipantHi Nick:
Hi 94,
Jesus Christ was sent to the lost sheep of Israel and he was speaking to them.
If you think that you can please God more by obeying the Law than following Jesus go ahead.
(Don’t you know that song that goes something like this “I once was lost but now I am found, was blind but now I see”? I was grafted in to that root that is called Israel, and so I am a part of the Israel of God.)
What would please God more, obeying His commandments or breaking them?
This according to Jesus would be the thing that would be most beneficial to me, and so, I believe that I will obey.
Matthew 5:
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

MartyJanuary 16, 2016 at 5:17 pm#807338NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
Nobody is suggesting that God wants Gentiles to break the Law.
But to focus on external things is to not follow the leadings of the Spirit.
The Spirit leads us to please God in every way.
The Sabbath foreshadows the sabbath day of rest, the millennium. Heb 4
January 16, 2016 at 5:39 pm#807339NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
If you choose The Law as your guide you have many more you must perfectly fulfil.
January 17, 2016 at 4:47 pm#807392942767ParticipantHi Nick:
Jesus stated that “he is the way, the truth, and the life”, and he obeyed God without sin even unto death on the cross. Sin is the transgression of the Law. I have confessed him as my Lord, and I am his disciple striving to obey what he has commanded, and although I have already given you the following scripture stating what he said, here it is again:
Matthew 5:
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Should I obey you or him?
1John 3 has this way:
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother
Love in Christ,
MartyJanuary 17, 2016 at 4:58 pm#807393kerwinParticipant942767,
Circumcision is a commandment and yet Paul called those that insisted Gentiles must be circumcised false brothers. Why?
January 17, 2016 at 4:59 pm#807394NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
Yes you do have the right to take to yourself the Jewish Law but is it wise?
January 17, 2016 at 5:03 pm#807395942767ParticipantHi Nick:
Hi 94,
If you choose The Law as your guide you have many more you must perfectly fulfil.
I will fulfill the Law in the body of Christ, and that is the only way that I will fulfill the Law because although I do obey the Law, I fall short of perfect obedience, and without the blood of Jesus to cleanse me from sin when I transgress the Law, I could not be saved. Salvation is by faith so that it might be by grace. I cannot earn my salvation through perfect obedience of the Law. Nevertheless, I will not practice sin willfully.
And yes, there will be a Sabbath day of rest for those in the body of Christ when the Lord takes us to be with him on the 7th day.
