    Hi Bo,
    This passage has been on my mind since I posted my last comment here:

    Matt 25:31-46
    The Judgment 31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.
    32 “All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;
    33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
    34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
    35 'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;
    36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.'
    37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?
    38 'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?
    39 'When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
    40 “The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'
    41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
    42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;
    43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.'
    44 “Then they themselves also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?'
    45 “Then He will answer them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'
    46 “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
    NASU

    This story strikes me as saying something significant.  Perhaps we can be known by the Son but not realize who He is.  Perhaps those who haven't had the true teaching given them but have faith in something greater than themselves and love for others and they demonstrate it by caring for the “least of these”…well, just perhaps the Son knows them as His own and He will not say depart from me, I never knew you.  He will instead place them on His right side and they will receive eternal life.  I'm still wondering about this.

    God bless,
    Kathi

    This was my point exactly.

    He even states that not everyone who says “Lord, lord will be saved. These people may have even healed the sick and cast out demons in his name but yet he will say get away from me.

    These are people who clearly think they are saved and followers of Christ and even have power to heal and cast out demons but Jesus says get away from me but then Jesus tells in another place this:

    Luke 10 (King James Version)

    25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

    26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

    27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

    28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

    29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

    30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

    31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

    32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

    33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

    34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

    35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

    36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

    37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

    Jesus tells him this is the way to eternal life.

    Hi BD,
    Jesus taught the Jews about the Law.
    They asked him questions and he answered them
    But we are not Jews and have never been under their Law.
    Salvation or us is in rebirth from above and not obedience to the OT Law.

    Those laws were not your laws anyway God told mankind what there laws were after the flood they are know in Judaism as the Noahide laws.

    The seven laws listed by the Tosefta and the Talmud are[3]

    Prohibition of Idolatry: You shall not have any idols before God.
    Prohibition of Murder: You shall not murder. (Genesis 9:6)
    Prohibition of Theft: You shall not steal.
    Prohibition of Sexual Promiscuity: You shall not commit any of a series of sexual prohibitions, which include adultery, incest, bestiality and male homosexual intercourse.
    Prohibition of Blasphemy: You shall not blaspheme God's name.
    Dietary Law: Do not eat flesh taken from an animal while it is still alive. (Genesis 9:4)
    Requirement to have just Laws: You shall set up an effective judiciary to enforce the preceding six laws fairly.

    Hi BD,
    Do you expect to be saved by obeying such laws?

    To All………If your Heart is made right you don't need (ANY) law to walk right , it's all a matter of the Heart, if you love your brother why would you even want to hurt Him in anyway. If you truly love GOD why would you not want to do what He Say's. If God has put into you the sorry and empathy in your Heart , just follow that and you will be accepted by Both man and GOD. The love of God shed around in our Heart fulfills (ALL) the law, leaves nothing lacking. IMO

    peace and love to you all……………………..gene

    To all! What however did Jesus tell us in the Sermon on the Mount. The Law has been magnified and it is hard to go through that narrow gate. He says and few will find it. He also says when some will come before Him and He will say: ” I never knew you.” All that believe in the trinity need to ask themselves, who are we really worshipping. Who came up with that doctrine? It was not easy to give all the things up, that is pagan originated. Even in the Encyclopedia it tells us what Christmas is. When my Husband and I learned of this, we already were in our 40th and our boys were already married. Christmas always was a big deal for us. It hurt our Family. But what again does Jesus say. If you love your Mother or Father or Children more then Me, you are not worthy of me. Georg was never sorry that we even gave up our Business, because Christmas was a big Business day for our Pastry Shop. I did a little,cause I always liked to serve the public. And my vanity showed big times. God does want everybody to come to the truth, but right now the judgement is on Christ's
    Church. His Church is Spiritual and most do not even realize that.
    Peace and Love Irene
