Proclaimer. …..The word “sea” in Rev. Means “the sea of humanity,” it’s just another way of saying it came forth out from among hunamity. Like the beasts of Babylon, were different kingdoms rising up in the earth and taking over another other beast kingdom that superseded it, But it rose up from humanity, but a different leader or king.
That’s the way I see it.

Berean…..if we say, 1260 days that equals…………………….3 1/2 years.
If we say time, times, and a half time, it also equals………3 1/2 years.
Just try using that I know t h ere are places where it does say God gave a Day for a year, Ezekiel had to lay on his side a year for a day, for the sins of the kingdom of Isreal, and also for the Sins of the kingdom of Judah.
And it was used to calculate the time from the word to restore Jeruerslam to the Messiah. But they were told to do it that way. There is no word that tell us to count the 1260 days for a year, so we must take it at face values. 1260 days equal, 42 months, which equals, 3 1/2 years.
Try plugging that in and also the fact that John was “transported” forward in time , to the days of the lord. Which is the time of the SIXTH kingdom of Jesus Christ and the Saint’s ruling this earth. Just try that c and see how many thing fit better and clearer.

Berean……the last of the Babyloian kingdoms are the ten toes of iron and clay, Daniel explains it, theses are nations strong as iron (milataraly ) but do not operate as one single nation , government, because they don’t agree with each other on how to rule, “exactly” as it is today. Dan 2: 41-44.
The word ‘mixed’ here is actually the word ‘arab‘ in Aramaic. Further, if the iron is the Roman Empire and the mixing of clay is infiltration or the taking over of that empire by Arabs as we see with the Ottoman Empire’s takeover of the Roman Empire, then if that head was wounded and died as it did in WWI, it is not a great stretch to think it could come back to life. In other words, an Islamic Empire being the seventh could rise again as the eighth. Remember they deny the son of God, a sign of the Antichrist. Further, we are told that this area where the Ottomans took over the Roman Empire (Turkey) is where Satan’s throne is located. And finally, people of Islamic faith are not only prolific in the Middle East, but millions have migrated to Europe and their population and religion is growing faster than anyone else.
Everything is set in place. Watch it play out.

Yes waters are people and nations. But the ‘Great Sea’ is still a reference to the Mediterranean Sea.

Do you agree that the horn (which comes after the 10 horns of the fourth animal in Daniel 7: 23-27) is the same power described in Revelation 13: 1-10.
Both reign 1260 years.It says:
After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.
‘After this’ could be anytime after that would you agree? It doesn’t have to be immediate and there is room for other going ons before this happens.
And whatever you believe about the fourth beast that Daniel saw, it has to agree with what God revealed through Jesus Christ to the angel and John.
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Does your current understanding fully agree with this?

Yup. So in John’s time, that means one to come (seventh) and a mysterious eighth that comes from the seventh or seven.
Look no further to the Ottoman Empire. It conquered the Roman Empire, persecuted God’s people both Jew and Gentile, and it could easily rise again in that part of the world for a short time. We already witnessed one attempt at it when ISIS declared a caliphate.

To all……unless you understand that John was transported into the time of the Sixth kingdom period to come on this earth and he prophesied from that time line forward , you can never understand REVELATIONS. All the nations today are part of the “FIFTH” WORLD RULING BABYLONIAN EMPIRE, the ones of IRON and CLAY. , the next to come is the SIXTH, which is the kingdom of Jesus Christ and the Saint’s. In Rev 17, JOHN told about what was to take place after that, right at the end of it, when God the Father was returning to rule all the earth.
What many do not understand there are ““TWO”, COMMINGS, one is the return of Jesus Christ in the beginning of the Sixth Kingdom period Then at the END of that, the rising up of the SATAN is released from the bottomless pit and then the Seventh and eight kingdoms rise, for a short time, 3 1/2 years, then the “Return” of God the Father, who destory’s the seventh and eight kingdoms with fire , and begins to rule all the earth, and then it all is finished, and a new heaven and earth is created, after all this takes place.
There are TWO COMMINGS, people are getting them mixed up. Because they do not understand Rev 17: 9-10.

Yes five have fallen. Gene’s view contradicts that. This has been pointed out to him a number of times, but I guess he has the extraordinary ability to ignore reality and continue believing his own doctrine despite something written that completely contradicts him. He says the past tense is really the future because it refers to a different time.

Berean. You must believe that there are two more kingdoms to come before the Kingdom of God. That could be a long way off. Centuries even. If the sixth is still going, then we need to wait for that to end before another rises and exists for centuries like the others then wait for that to die and come back to life for a short time to become the eighth. Could be another thousand years away with this belief.

Proclaimer……go to Daniel 2:32…..“this images “head” was of fine gold, his “breast and arms” of sliver, his “belly and thighs ” of brass, his “legs” of iron, his “feet” part of iron and part of clay.
Notice each of the body parts are broken up into “individual”, sections for this prophesy.

We are in the fifth and final time period of the Babylonian type of world rulling systems, until it’s deadly wound is heald and it will rise again at the end of the millennial reign of Jesus and the Saint’s, the next world rulling power will be the sixth , it will not be a type of the Babylon system of rule. But of Jesus Christ and the Saint’s. The Sixth kingdom will rule for a thousand years then, the seventh kingdom comes Rev 17: 9-10,
Please notice that all these Babyloian type systems of empires or kingdoms are clearly called out by seperate body groups, the head, the breast and arms, the belly and thighs, the legs, the feet which include the toes. They are distinctly mentioned seperately. They do not include the seventh and eighth kingdoms because, AFTER THE SIXTH They were not MENTIONED, in that prophesy given to Neburchnasser. But John picks it up after the SIXTH KINGDOM PERIODS.
The feet and toes are specifically talked about in Dan 2:41 , the legs of Iron, the “Roman Empire is not even mentioned there.
We are in the fifth world ruling Babylonian type, the last one to exist until after the millennial regin of Jesus and the Saint’s, and then it will be resurected again for a short period of time 3 1/2 years , as the Seventh as Eighth kingdoms on this earth.
Again …..if you don’t understand John was transported in time to the Day of the lord (the sixth world ruling kingdom period, and was prophesying from that time period onward to the End, when God the Father himself returns, you simply do not and can not understand Revelations. The key is understanding, JOHN WAS “TRANSPORTED IN TIME”, TO THE DAY OF the lord Jesus, in fact right at the end of his kingdom, when he will turn over his kingdom to God the Father.
You must have the KEY or you will be exactly like all the rest of the false prophets out there.

Daniel chapter 2 is not sufficient to understand Revelation 17
This is why you put a lot of elements of your own that do not fit with the prophecy, nor with the story. Too bad you refuse to study more closely the whole book of Daniel and compare with Revelation.Berean…….Satan will be bound in the bottomless for a thousand years , when Jesus returns and sets up his kingdom on this earth, with the resurrected Saint’s . And at the end of the thousand years Satan will be released for a short time and then cast into the lake of fire and go into perdition.
The Saint’s will not be ruling in heaven with Jesus, but on this earth , the idea of them ruling in heaven is a lie, no scripture say that. Berean you need to start thinking for yourself with the Spirit of God, instead of listing to that Church you are going to, for a. Change. Copying and pasting what others are saying does you yourself absolutely no good. It only shows us you really don’t understand it yourself. IMO
