Hi CON,

Yup!October 6, 2009 at 9:48 am#210816Tim KraftParticipantQuote (georg @ Oct. 05 2009,19:50) I have a question, if all will be Spirit bodies, then why is there a tree of life?
Rev. 2:7 ” He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him that overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”
I believe that the Saints that died for Christ will be in the first resurrection and are Spirit beings. It says that dead has no power over them. While all others will have new young Bodies. When that will happen I am not so sure of. That is why those will need the tree of life and will live.

We have always had access to the tree of life. In Gen.2:16 God said,…of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat or die…
Adam had access to all the information avenues in the Garden including the Tree of Life. Like now we are offered the same thing from God,….I set before you life and death, now you choose. Adam chose death. Will we continue to choose to believe in evil or will we hear God and choose life. Mans doctrines of the Bible are death. Jesus offered life. Maybe the tree of life is the word of God? October 6, 2009 at 4:03 pm#210819georgParticipantQuote (Gene @ Oct. 06 2009,03:06) Georg………….There is no spirit body, spirit (intellect) has no body, it animates Bodies. Jesus had a Physical Body, he plainly said a spirit does (not) have flesh and bone (a body) as you see I Have. The only one who exists outside of a body is GOD Who is Spirit. He can indwell (ALL) bodies if he so chooses to. (that God may be in (ALL) and through (ALL)> GOD is True Spirit (intellect) or knowledge with POWER and IS LIFE and gives it to all His creation as He see fit. He is the source and the sustainer of all life. Georg i believe Spirit is in us as thoughts in our minds. Let This mind be in you as was in Christ Jesus our lord. I also believe GOD is composed of Seven Spirits or intellects and all seven of these compose the (ONE TRUE GOD) as said in Revelations. These are what the LORD uses to create everything in existence. Remember the saying (I) think therefore i AM. But Thought or intellect must be in a body of some kind or it is useless. Remember when Jesus said an unclean spirit leaves a man it goes about in (ARID) places seeking rest. Another word it is useless unless it is in a BODY of some kind and when it is in a body that is what a Soul is it is spirit(intellect) in a body. So is every Spirit if it does not have a body to animate it is useless. God's whole creation is an animated creation and His Spirit give it life. This is just the way I see it Georg and I think scripture backs this up. Maybe you can add more light to this. IMO

GeneWhat are angels, thoughts?
Explain to me Heb. 2:16.Georg
October 6, 2009 at 4:40 pm#210820GeneBalthropParticipantGeorg……He took not on him the nature of angles but the seed of Abraham> no sure what you are driving at. But Angles are BEINGS and HAVE BODIES Just as were are Beings and HAVE BODIES , howbeit, there Bodies are much more superior to ours, but we are told we shall have that kind of body also, as Jesus had when he was resurrected, it was able to pass through a door and appear and disappear and had flesh and bone,(not blood). God fashions His angles Spirits and installed it into them and send then out to minister to the Heirs of salvation. Angles are not SPIRITS they (HAVE) Spirit in them, Spirit is what a (WORD) is, and a WORD is the expression of thought or intellect, it is the mind. Let this (MIND) be in you (HOW) by the WORD of GOD. Jesus said the WORDS I am telling you (ARE) SPIRIT and LIFE, and WORDS are the expression of INTELLECT, rather its GOD”S Mind or Mans Mind, the words (ARE) expressions of intellects and they are (ALL) spirit. Good and Evil are Spirits (intellects) that animate everything they are in. Spirit is not a body Spirit lives (IN) a body. IMO

Jesus body was still the original of flesh and bone and full of holes as he showed his brothers. Is this your hope?Angels are spirits as Hebrew 1 tells us quoting the OT.
No sign of the word intellect in the bible but then you have these gnostic ideas.October 6, 2009 at 8:14 pm#210822GeneBalthropParticipantNick…….Wrong, Please explain what a (WORD) means to you. If it is something other than expressed (INTELLECT) then i completely disagree with you and SO does Jesus. Your argument is with Him and what He said, not me. I am not the one who described what a (WORD) was , you need to take it up with HIM and argue with him about it not me.Psm104:3,4…and Heb 1:7, the subject in each clause comes first, and the attribute predicated of it second, So i believe He is saying He Makes His Angel's (SPIRITS) not that an ANGEL is a spirit being , But he is addressing the SPIRIT HE put in the angels . This goes along with all scriptures relating to SPIRIT or SPIRITS. IMO

Why add my thoughts when you are trying to sanctify yours?
Scripture is enough.October 6, 2009 at 8:31 pm#210824GeneBalthropParticipantNick…….I am not adding your thought , you do that yourself, either You believe what Jesus said His words were or not that your choice, I chose to believe His (WORDS) (ARE) SPIRIT, in fact (ALL) words are from Spirit (INTELLECT) expressed, those of GOD and Those of Man (all word (ARE) Spirit. they (ARE) the Expression of (KNOWLEDGE) Good or Evil and (ARE) SPIRIT. Again your argument is with Jesus not me.

The words of Jesus from God are spirit and life and imprint themselves on hearts but the words of carnal men are just empty words.Useless repetition can become as spam to be deleted.
October 7, 2009 at 12:03 am#210827GeneBalthropParticipantNick……… Empty as they may be they still are the expression of the Spirit in that man. So in your theology mans word are (NOT) Spirit then right, so tell us How do we try the spirits (plural) to see if they are of GOD them, please tell us what we are to try, if not there words. You are right dealing with you on this (IS) vain repetition. You simply do not believe what Jesus said words (ARE). IMO

Which resurrection- the first[Rev20, Jn5]?
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection. Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:1-6October 7, 2009 at 2:26 am#210829ConstitutionalistParticipantQuote (Gene @ Oct. 06 2009,17:03) Nick……… Empty as they may be they still are the expression of the Spirit in that man. 1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every [pneuma] spirit, but try the spirits [pneuma] whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. The word “spirits' in english was added as plural. Both instanstances of the word “spirit” in this verse are the Greek “pneuma”, in the singular. Most get confused because they use the word “for the” and use Greek word “esti”.
The way this is used it to “Believe not every spirit, but try the spirit”. (Meaning each and every one) whether they are of God. (“They” is the plural). We are to test the Prophets that are gone out into the world to see if they are from God or not.
1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every [pneuma] [breath] spirit, but try the spirits [pneuma] [breath] whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Pneuma: Breath
In other words try every word [breath] that comes out of there mouth.
October 7, 2009 at 3:47 am#210830GeneBalthropParticipantCT……….I agree the WORDS (ARE) SPIRIT and we are to Try them. Jesus said not what goes into a mans mouth is what defiles Him but what comes out because it proceeds from the Heart, and He is talking Here about His words, why because they are from his intellect or Mind and that is what defiles the man. Spirit takes the form of Clean and Unclean There are both clean (Spirits Intellects) or Unclean (Spirits or intellects) These Spirits or intellects were recieved into us ALL they are in our thinking we recieved them from the world, and they loge in our minds, Some think these are beings of some kind but they are not they are Just thoughts and animate us and our behaviors. They can be removed and replaced with other thoughts or Spirits. So Man can with GOD Help through His SPIRIT (INTELLECT) really change and be regenerated into a new creation. GOD imputes into us a Higher level of Intellect or Knowledge through His (WORDS or SPIRIT, same thing, and this begins to cleans Us and Change US, to conform to HIM and Jesus. WE are being washed by HIS words or Spirit (intellect) expressed through WORDS. IMO

Your words do not align with scripture so do you think the particular 'intellect' manifesting is that of the world? Those that are of the world we are warned about in 1 jn4.5
October 7, 2009 at 4:30 am#210832GeneBalthropParticipantNick……..What i wrote lines up with Scripture, Go read what the (word) (WORD) MEANS and then believe what Jesus said WORDS (ARE) and you will see they Aline perfectly with what i said. Words (expressed intellect) ARE SPIRIT . Your argument is with Jesus not Me Nick.
