I recognised that possibly the root of every sin was alive in me and spoke inwardly to God asking for forgiveness.
Best to admit we are weak and are failures.

To all…………..Repentance is an on going process, “Godly” Sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be repented of”, but the sorrow of the world works death. We have all sinned and come short of the Glory of God, we are being saved by Grace, God the Fathers Grace and his holy Spirit working in our hearts and minds, causing us to repent, and grow in Grace and Knowledge, “until we come to the measure and “full” stature of Christ Jesus”.

Luke 18:25
For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

It is not just riches but all we have must be placed on the table in submission to the Lord.
All we regard as assets become his to take or give back according to God's will for us.

Simon Magus got baptised but thought he could add to his current assets but was barley saved from condemnation for doing so.

the works of repentance is to stop doing what needs to be repent of ,

repent from sin but stop sinning
