Most people do not realize that the opportunity to repent is a gift of God, until they lose it.
When you die, you can no longer repent and it is then that one realizes how precious that opportunity was.August 24, 2018 at 2:04 am#833867GeneBalthropParticipantT8…Repentance is not an “oppertunity” it is a work of God in a person.
2 Cor 7:10….For godly sorrow “works” repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world works death.

Salvation is a free gift of God dependant on Godly repentance.
The opportunity to accept the gift is limited to the time you have here on Earth.
If you do not accept the gift being offered, then the opportunity to accept the gift of salvation has been thrown away.
Like all missed opportunities, once missed it leads to regret.
If those who are not saved are judged by God, it would not be hard to imagine the sinners asking for forgiveness before his throne.
However, God will say to them that they were given the opportunity and it is then that one would realize that repentance was an opportunity, not a burden.

Are we to assume you know better then scriptures? Nothing silly about that to me T8.

Okay, you can believe that God doesn’t give men the opportunity to repentant. lol. God never gave the Ninevites the opportunity to repent for example.
Now we are both happy.
One in the truth and one experiencing the bliss of ignorance.
