Move just 1 cup in the top row to match the order of the bottom row
How do you start with the top row and end up with the bottom row by moving one glass only while not touching any other glass.
December 11, 2020 at 11:42 pm#868119LightenupParticipantTake the first cup on the left, in the top row, pour it’s contents into the empty cup that is in the fourth position, then set the now empty cup that is in your hand down in the farthest right position on the top row…and there you have both rows matching.
Good one PC.

December 12, 2020 at 12:42 am#868123ProclaimerParticipantWhat’s the other way to accomplish this?
December 12, 2020 at 4:23 am#868125GeneBalthropParticipantProclaimer, You take the top empty cup move it to the bottom left, then take the top three full cups move them to the bottom left then take the top empty cup move it to the bottom left. , now the “order” of the to is “matched.” to the bottom, you have started with the top and ended up with the bottom row.
Peace and love to you and yours. ………..gene
December 12, 2020 at 9:19 am#868137ProclaimerParticipantBut by moving only one cup.
December 12, 2020 at 10:55 am#868145LightenupParticipantProclaimer,
Is there a prize for showing you two ways to solve your puzzle,..
Take the fifth cup on the top row, pour it into the second cup and set it down as the first cup in the top row. Done.

December 12, 2020 at 11:12 am#868146GeneBalthropParticipantProclaimer. …..if your going to only touch one glass on top to get the same “order’ i.e. “sequence” as the bottom, , then you empty the top left cup in the top fourth cup and place the empty cup on the left top. As LU SAID. YOU ONLY HAVE MOVED ONE CUP. BY DOING THAT.
You can’t start with the top row and end up with “only” the bottom row by moving one cup. But you can match the top row with the bottom “sequence.”, by moving only one cup.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……….gene
December 12, 2020 at 1:05 pm#868148ProclaimerParticipantWell done LU. And the prize is your next 10 posts on Heaven Net are free.
December 12, 2020 at 1:08 pm#868149ProclaimerParticipantNext puzzle
I have 2 Australian legal tender coins that together equal $3.
One of the coins is not a $2 coin.
What do I have?
December 12, 2020 at 3:32 pm#868152LightenupParticipantLol, okay Proclaimer thank you for the ten free posts. Can I increase that if I answer the recent puzzle correctly by ten more? That would be to your advantage, I would think 😉
One of the coins is not a $2 coin, ok, but the other one is. So two coins would be a $1 coin and the other a $2 coin.

December 12, 2020 at 6:18 pm#868155ProclaimerParticipantYou’re too good. I’ll have to step up the difficulty level for the next one.
December 15, 2020 at 7:28 pm#868210LightenupParticipantHow about this brain strainer (can you solve it without the hints):
December 17, 2020 at 4:36 pm#868247LightenupParticipantWell who is going to be the first to answer the puzzle in the video that I put on here? Surely somebody can figure this out and give their reasoning.
if you’re stuck then listen to the hints towards the end. You can do it!
December 18, 2020 at 12:29 am#868260ProclaimerParticipantOkay I never looked this up and have never heard this puzzle before.
Here goes.
My first thought is that all disks are the same and they get the white colour when they are reflecting the light and are dark when not reflecting the light. Because there are 3 people, when looking at the back of a person and you can see a white disk, that means their back is being illuminated by the light. By extension of that, your disk must be in shade and will be in the dark making it black.
The reason why two disks were dark in the bag was because they were on the side of the bag that had a shadow cast on it from the wall of the bag that was casting a shadow over them.
If that is not the answer, then I have a second theory that I’m pretty sure is not correct. He says one of the disks was placed on the prisoners back. Could it be the same disk then? If so, it was white because each person could see the color when it was placed on another person. Upon seeing the video the second time, this answer didn’t seem feasible.
If I didn’t get it right, don’t tell me the answer. I’ll have another bash at it tomorrow. It’s getting late now.
December 18, 2020 at 8:32 am#868262LightenupParticipantThanks for trying, Proclaimer. Let’s just say that your reasoning wouldn’t get you out of prison but I’m sure the warden would give you another chance since you are the only one interested in solving the puzzle. 🙂 It really is logical when you get it.
December 18, 2020 at 8:46 am#868263ProclaimerParticipantThe two remaining disks were taken out of the bag. That means they could see them and they were not able to see what was in the bag. So if they could see the remaining two disks, then it is a simple process of deduction. However, if this is the case, why were the other two not able to work that out.
December 18, 2020 at 8:50 am#868264ProclaimerParticipantThe prisoners saw all 5 disks and the white ones were at the top according to the diagram. Because the other two had white disks on their back, he reasoned that the person was taking the disks out from the top. Thus he realized he had a white disk on his own back because the black disks were at the bottom of the bag.
December 18, 2020 at 9:02 am#868265ProclaimerParticipantBlack isn’t a colour as it is the lack of light, so if all prisoners could see the colour of each other’s disk, then they all had to be white.
December 18, 2020 at 9:33 am#868266ProclaimerParticipantIf he saw two whites on the other guys, then he did some math, although this is a probability answer which apparently it is not.
He had a 33.33% chance (one third) of having a white disk on his back and a 66.66% chance (two thirds) of having a black disk. This meant that he had a double chance of having a black disk on his back.
In other words, because he could see 2 white disks, that left two black disks and one white disk. So him having black disk was double the chance of having a white disk on his back as there were 2 black disks and one white disk left in the bag.
However, if he did have a black disk on his back, then the other two could have used the same math to say that they had a white disk on their back. They didn’t do that despite the three guys having equal intelligence. Regardless, if this was the case, someone would still be first to provide the answer.
December 18, 2020 at 9:55 am#868267ProclaimerParticipantIf Igor has a white disk on his back, then this helps explain why no one was able to answer right away. So that fits the evidence.
But if Igor has a black disk on his back, then the other two would see a black and white disk. If that was the case, then neither of them can have a black disk on their back. If they did, then they would see two black disks meaning Igor must have a black disk. But that didn’t happen by reason of the others not answering the question.
