I will answer it this way.Take your view and apply it to the whole contextual text.
So if I am is the Father speaking for himself through his messenger, then it is the same with the rest. Whoever this text is speaking of, and whatever the spirit is leading him to say then apply it to the same person.
Hence if “I am” is the Father saying, “I existed before Abraham”, then it is also the Father saying, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God”. You then introduce many difficulties in explaining what is clearly about Jesus and having to make it all the Father.
It is about Jesus or it is the Father speaking through Jesus about himself. You can't mix and match according to a predefined belief. Rather, take it as it is and deal with it as it is.
21 Once more Jesus said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come.”

It is quite clear that Yahshua is giving reference to himself in saying “I am” of what he is recorded saying in the following verses concerning himself:
I am one that BEARS WITNESS OF MYSELF, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me (Yahchanan [John] 8:18).
Yahshua said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, BUT BY ME (Yahchanan [John] 14:6).
Certainly you not not believe that Father Yahweh is literally speaking through Yahshua here in these verses, right? Yahshua is also recorded as saying many other things concerning himself (or bearing witness of himself – cf. Yahchanan [John] 8:18) in like manner.

Nowhere in ANY Scripture translation does it ever say “Jesus IS the Word of God.” Revelation 19:13 says in translation:
“And he wore a garment soaked with blood, and his name is called The Word of God.”
No, this does not say:
'And he wore a garment soaked with blood, and HE IS The Word of God.'
In Scripture when a person is given a name or title, this does not always convey that the person is LITERALLY the meaning of the name or title they are given. Now concerning the name Yahshua. This name means 'Yahweh Redeems, Delivers, or Rescues'. This name signifies Father Yahweh as our Supreme Redeemer.

Hi Nick:The Logos in John 1 is the Word which is that which God has spoken and it embodies a plan. The Word pertains to Jesus, but is not Jesus as a pre-existent person. It pertains to him as the person who is foreordained through whom God would reconcile the world unto himself.
