Would it be a good idea to have a thread just for polls so that more could get involved?
It seems polls get lost in the fray when probably many who do not ever post may participate in if all they had to do is vote anonymously.
Duplicate polls could be deleted.
Thanks WJ
August 13, 2010 at 10:03 pm#212275ProclaimerParticipantThe problem here is that a poll can be created from any forum as part of core functionality. But I do have the ability to move polls as I do posts. So they could be created where ever, and I move them to their own forum.
What do others think.
Are polls better off in their own forum, or in the forum that they are related to by subject?

t8Could it be done where there is a forum just for polls with their own catagorys?

August 14, 2010 at 10:53 pm#212277ProclaimerParticipantNo it can't.
But I could move them to a poll forum and leave it in the original forum too, except that when you clicked it from the original forum, it would take you to the Poll forum.
I think that would work quite well, because all polls would be together and in their related forums too.

In the Feedback, Help, Rules, Chat … area?

Polls are great if: They are created to help us all see
other participants views on many matters of concern.
This type of motivation would be a benefit to all here!Instead I see polls mainly used by individuals (no names)
as a guise in an attempt to substantiate 'their religious biases';
seen easily through 'tricky wording' in the motivation of the Poll itself!God bless

http://www.holycitybiblecode.orgAugust 16, 2010 at 4:45 am#212280AdminKeymasterI have set up a Poll forum.
Polls in the Believers Area can be started in any forum and when I come across them, I will move them to the Poll forum.
But it will still appear in the original forum where you started the poll and it will link through when you click it.If you see any more polls around the place, please copy the link and PM me or use the Reporting Posts link, and I will just move it (with no warning of course).

Thanks! I think that you will find more involved in the polls and I also think it will give those who do not participate in discussion a chance to be involved with their opinions by voting anonomously. Yet discusions can still be held in the poles thread.
Everyone has “religious biases” and opinions and as far as I know everyone here is also out to “substantiate” their beliefs. Some go as far as putting their “signature” or post their websight after every post (no names mentioned).
