ED J……….What support?, I absolutely Know the day of Pentecost was fifty days after Jesus' death, and He did not reappear on Pentecost but sent the Spirit of Truth from GOD the Father and It was poured out on that day and thousands were saved that very day.

Where do you come up with all these Private interpretations of yours any way. A mind can come up with all kinds of conclusion especially if it only draw from a few unrelated scripture and tries to force scripture to say what in fact it does not say. That is you problem Here drawing all kinds of conclusion without true support. IMO

…..and I thought Gene was supporting me lol.

I have been in and out of heaven.web.nz on a number of occasions and designed that avatar especially for this place, because you are absolutely right Gene, you just can't win here.

And no, heaven.web.nz isn't a typo because rather than it being a net bringing in good returns, it is a web of confusion with its legacy including many who have become confused and left the faith.

    Hi Gene,

Pentecost was 50 days after the resurrection.
Jesus walked around for 10, then they had to wait 40 days more. [10+40=50]

    God bless

    Hi Oxy,
    Good call.
Hear the Word of God as that is where faith grows from.
The Spirit of the Father [Mt10]wrote it and can teach you if you put aside your preconceptions.

Nick, you have yet to convince me that the Scriptures are the Word of God when my Bibles (all 7 of them) tell me that the Word became flesh.

How do you “hear” the Bible? You don't. You read the Bible.

However, when the Word (Jesus) speaks, He is able to be heard by those that have ears to hear.

Indeed the Spirit of Christ was given to Jesus and now his brothers.

Oxy……..As nick said winning is not the point brother, i meant that to mean you can't seem to get you point across sometimes. It seems we go around and around and no matter how many scriptures we quote and show plainly they are not recieved by the one with the opposite view, but we all at time are guilty of that right? That is why i wish we could establish a system of forcing others to comply to a set of rules that when a question is ask the other person must answer it specifically or admit they simply can't Like for instance if I ask you to show (SPECIFICALLY) how flesh can become a word. That to me is impossible for flesh to literally be come a word.

I do fully understand How the word of GOD can be in a flesh person though, As Nick said the Christos or Anointing. I understand that. But do you get my point here , we do not want you to get discouraged and quit posting so if we could figure out some way of causing these Posts to be (specific) to questions ask i believe this would help us all grow, it this splintering of that seem to be the big problem here.

Oxy you are indeed loved Here brother, so go back to your old avatar because your head is getting sore by now brother.

peace and love to you and yours oxy…………………….gene

    Hi Gene,

    1) Not if your looking for the Truth part of what the other believes!

    2) Forcing others goes against “Free Will”!

    (3) OK show us all where it says we have an 'influenced will'?
          If you CAN'T, then admit that 'you' can't ! ! !!!!!!

The Spirit of God is given in portions[2Kings 2.9]
The portion of the ONE SPIRIT given to Christ Jesus is shared with his Body till he returns.

    Nick's Quotes

'The Spirit of God is given in portions'
    'God is not apportioned'.

These two statements appear to be opposite of each other; please explain?

They do not need explanation except by those who think God is just His Spirit.
    The Spirit is OF God.

We will have to agree to differ. At the end of the day you can be a Christian without the Bible, but you can't be a Christian without Christ.

The Bible would be meaningless to me without Christ and the Holy Spirit, but He brings meaning to the things I read, but more important than that, the Lord directs my path and tells me that which He requires of me. Note, I said He tells me, using His voice.

I would much rather hear His voice and know His direction than be a learned scholar of the Scriptures. Some of the world's greatest theologians don't know the Lord.

    Hi Oxy,

Psalm 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shall keep them, O LORD(YHVH), thou shall preserve them(in The AKJV Bible) from this generation forever.
Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering lips “and another tongue” will (That is: in English) “HE” speak to this people.

I agree that the words of the LORD are pure, but they are not limited to Scripture.
