Nick. that the Key is we must overcome the same way Jesus did. any other way will not work, it the exact same way. that the part you seem to not understand. All who overcome can only do it the same way Jesus did, or you just wont overcome.

Do I not understand that?
Overcoming is by seeking grace.2 Peter 1
1Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
11For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Seek.
Grace upon grace.

And the way he overcame is the way we must also. WE are one with Him and we both have one FATHER and ONE GOD . My hope and Prayer is that you will come to see this brother, I believe you are truly sincere Brother, and am Asking God to Show you, this. Look i love Jesus and am looking forward to when the FATHER send Him to Us, imagine our Brother right here with us and we with him where ever He goes. What a happy day for us and all the world that will be, and we will back up our Brother in all the Father has given Him to do, rather in war or Peace we will certainly accompany Him. If he commands me to war to war i go, if He commands me to to peace to peace i will go, what ever He commands I will do, because I know He does the Will of the FATHER, in all things.
peace and love to you and yours…………………………gene

You claim equality with your Lord?
Are you not his servant? Some he calls friends even brothers but it is his perogative, not ours.

February 12, 2009 at 9:45 pm#121367NickHassanParticipantHi S,
Jesus overcame sin in the flesh.
We too can be invested with that extraordinary gift and recover the lost ground.
Light is given to us not to be put on a shelf but that it can go right through our vessel and expel the darkness.Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.Matthew 5:15
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.Luke 8:16
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.Luke 11:34
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. We can only be useful vessels if we tidy up.
2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.2Tim2
20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
Matthew 6:22
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.February 12, 2009 at 10:01 pm#121371meerkatParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 09 2009,22:23) GB,

Nick,Are you trying to judge anothers salvation?
Jesus was born a fleshly man – a human brother to all humans, he knows our weaknesses and can minister to us – however by the resurrection of the Holy Spirit and the annointing of God he has been raised far above all – pre-eminant, Lord of all (first born) of the new creation and if you are in Christ you are a new creature, co-heirs with Christ.
What is flesh is flesh, and what is born again, Spirit is Spirit.
Are all brother equal? In one sense yes – they are all children of their parents – however the firstborn is above the rest. They have a greater inheritance and prestige.

Jesus is Lord of all.
He is King of kings. But the lordship he wants is for us to seek admission to his kingdom and to honour and obey his teachings.
Then he is our lord.June 21, 2010 at 9:58 pm#198979NickHassanParticipantHi,

1 Peter 4:1
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;Is 53
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. How can you be an overcomer if you are not yet born of God?
