What must we do to be saved?
Hi T8,I didn't see that question, perhaps I missed it. But here is the answer…
Acts 16:30-33 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33 And he took
them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.God bless

Be apt but succinctFebruary 12, 2012 at 9:44 am#277494shimmerParticipantThe sayings of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings which are given by one Shepherd. My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

February 12, 2012 at 9:50 am#277496shimmerParticipantEd, have you been Baptised?
February 12, 2012 at 9:54 am#277497Ed JParticipantHi Shimmer, I hope you are well.
“Thus speaketh the “LORD of Hosts”, saying, Execute true judgment,
and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow,
nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.” (Zech 7:9-10)“Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked
in their place. Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.” (Job 40:11-14)God bless

February 12, 2012 at 10:04 am#277499Ed JParticipantHi Shimmer, do you mean Baptized with the “HolySpirit” and with fire?
Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water;
but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose:
he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire:God bless

http://www.holycitybiblecode.orgFebruary 12, 2012 at 10:18 am#277502shimmerParticipantHi Ed. It says:
John 3:5…. “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of Water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” Luke 3:17…. John answered them all, “I baptize you with Water; but he who is mightier than I is coming, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with Fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor, and to gather the wheat into his granary, but the chaff he will burn with Unquenchable Fire.”
February 12, 2012 at 10:22 am#277504shimmerParticipantEd and all, one or two lines, remember?
February 12, 2012 at 10:41 am#277506Ed JParticipantHi Shimmer,
Jesus set us free from doing religious rituals. (see 1 Corinthians 1:14-15)
Your not born in baptismal water; your birth water is from your mothers womb.
It is the Spiritual re-birth that is necessary; water baptism only symbolizes death.
God bless

Water and spirit, huh? So, NOT the flesh and bone that Jesus was originally raised from the dead in? Interesting.February 12, 2012 at 6:11 pm#277547NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
Will Jesus agree with what you think is necessary?February 12, 2012 at 6:30 pm#277560terrariccaParticipantwater means repentance and the spirit means the way to worship God in spirit and truth
February 12, 2012 at 6:32 pm#277563NickHassanParticipantHi T,
What Peter said about water baptism after repentance was ” for the forgiveness of your sins..”
Many do not feel it applies to themFebruary 12, 2012 at 10:04 pm#277609shimmerParticipantQuote (mikeboll64 @ Feb. 13 2012,02:26) Water and spirit, huh? So, NOT the flesh and bone that Jesus was originally raised from the dead in? Interesting.
Hi Mike. I think this means to be Baptised in Water while alive on Earth. And then, later, (Sometimes many years later) to be Baptised in the Holy Spirit. Often before the Baptisim in the Holy Spirit, God does Diciplinary work.February 12, 2012 at 10:08 pm#277610shimmerParticipantHi Ed. That is your interpretation.
Jesus was Baptised in Water and then the Holy Spirit descended on Him.February 12, 2012 at 10:09 pm#277611NickHassanParticipantHi,
Yes vessels need to be cleansed that the HOLY Spirit can abide in our temple.[2tim 2.20f]February 13, 2012 at 4:21 am#277679LightenupParticipantRomans 7:25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.
