I was searching around on the internet and i found this site.

    http://www.preparehisway.com/you_who_desire_the_law

It basically states that We as Christians shouldnt follow the law of the old testament because it was oblished to the righteous of Christ by his flesh.

Im a fairly new christians searching the scriptures and working on a degree in Religion. I havent really thought much about it so i dont have an exact opinion as of yet. I thought i would ask and see if anybody has an opinion on the topic.

So if we are not susposed to follow the law then what outlines what sin for us? I thought the law layed out the foundation to stay righteous with God before christ. If we dont have to follow the lay then can we do what we want as long as we repent and believe in christ?

    Hi DG,
There are lots of threads on this.
The law was given to the Jews and we are gentiles.
We can learn from it but obedience to external laws cannot save us.

DG…….. if we realize that law (forced compliance ) can never make a person right inside then we know why Paul said a man can never be( justified) before God by works of Law.

But a man can be Justified by God writing His laws on the heart of some one by His spirit. Why because he or she has a new nature God has taken the hardness of them out and replaced it with a Heart of Flesh or Soft Heart, a new nature and that heart or nature is Justified by God.

“for you are (created) unto good works”, it's a work of God, not our works.
    so who can boast.

    IMO…..gene
