“Is there a God beside me? yea,
there is no God; I know not any.” (Isa 44:8 )Does this mean there are other gods? (“Yes” OR “No”)
Note: you can always choose the option “I don't know”.

Are you a true teacher? Is t8 a true teacher? Etc?
I am afraid to call myself a true teacher as they have a higher standard of judgement.
I disagree with the teaching of t8 and others though I converse with those Jehovah chooses to put in front of me to converse with.
I speak what I have learned so far and seek to learn more.
Somethings are obvious and yet men debate them. For example seeking God's righteousness means seeking sinlessness and yet there are people who claim they are saved in their sins. If a teacher comes and teaches that you that you can continue to sin as an unbeliever does then they are lying. Jesus stated that his people's righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees. The Pharisees had an outer righteousness that many in the church of today lack.
Test what you hear and/or believe to see if it comes from God or from man.
So, kerwin, would you then say that no one on this board is a true teacher?(When I say true teacher I just mean someone who teaches the actual truth, as opposed to false doctrine)
Here's the thing. I am addressing the idea that the body of Christ are people all over the world who believe and teach different things. I can't see how that is possible. I do realize that the only other alternative is an unpleasant one–that of being organized into an official group with a united set of beliefs, which may or may not be right.
If there are people who believe the truth, what truth is it? I have great difficulty finding two people even on this board that believe the same things, beyond the fact that Jesus existed and was the son of god.
On this board, if you say “t8 is a true teacher,” then that means that everyone who teaches a trinity for example is teaching a false teaching. It would mean everyone who teaches things counter to what t8 believes is teaching falsehood. And since this board only exists because ere is dissection and division, it's obvious that at half of every conversation on this board are wrong, since it takes two to disagree.
And this of course doesn't mean half of us on here are true teachers, because even though two might agree on the trinity, there will be 100 other things they disagree on.
And I believe it is much this way in the world as well.
Wouldn't the Holy Spirit help a true teacher to know and teach truth? And so, wouldn't there be a lot of people who agree on everything?
David.

David.
David,I believe what I write is true. I do not believe I am a teacher;especially as we are warned to be careful of just that.
I know of no one qualified to teach that is on this board. We barely qualify to be students. When we come to realize that then our spirit will be broken and we will be partway there. A contrite heart will make us the media we need to be to learn.
Trinitarians are obviously in error and unable to explain their paradoxical teachings. Never the less they may be seeking the truth. I am not equipped to determine whether or not they are.
The Holy Spirit teaches in different ways. Some are inspired and learn without studying Scripture. I on the other hand study and in my ignorance fall into Satan's snares. Jehovah rescues me and I progress some more before falling into another to be rescued again. My path is rough but it seems to be in the right direction. That makes me think I am being taught by the Spirit. A qualified teacher on the other hand is teaching from his knowledge.
The church is like a net Jehovah throws into the world. The net catches both good and corrupt fish. As a fisherman separates his catch at the end of the day so shall Jehovah separate those in the church at the end of this World.
Some of what you say is alien to my way of thinking. For example I expect students to be wrong more than they are right. As each learns more his percentage of being correct goes up. Discussing lessons can facilitate the learning process for those with the right mindset.

david, it is probably more accurate to say that many including myself believe we teach correctly. I don't believe to have the whole truth as I consider myself a work in progress. Nevertheless, we are all going to be judged and I am accountable for my life and you are for yours. So the best we can all do is seek truth, love God, love people, seek wisdom and truth as if it were gold, be generous, and be humble. Surely if we have these qualities, God would preserve us. I believe that a good teacher has these qualities and a false teacher has something wrong in their heart, because out of the heart a man shows what treasure he has.
I know why you are pursuing this line if inquiry, it is to test your faith and belief in your organisation or it is to perhaps evangelise us, but the truth is not in that paradigm.
The best you can do is be true to God, yourself, and others, and you have a far greater chance at understanding the truth yourself and knowing the truth from a lie when you hear others speak.
Our faith is a living faith. It is tested each day. It is not about and never has been about choosing the correct man-made organisation.
I think of it like this. A prism takes light and shines out it's beautiful attributes in the form of colour. A prism can do that because it is shaped correctly and it is transparent. Shaping is what God does to us if we let him, and being transparent is like being true and hiding nothing.

Everyone thinks they are teaching correctlyEveryone thinks they have truth
Everyone thinks they are searching for truth.
Everyone thinks they are on the narrow path.
Most are wrong, delusional, deceiving themselves.
But I am focusing on the true teachers that apparently teach the truth.
Who are these people? Where are they? Can any two be found who teach the same things? If so, what are these teachings? I'm not really disagreeing with you. I just want to understand how what you say is possible or makes sense realistically.
If the true Christians, the wheat, are scattered among the world, not connected to false religion, which you would expect them not to be (flee from Babylon the great) then what do they believe? How do they fellowship with each other? How do they all preach the same things? If they preach different things, then how can they all be true teachers?
I struggle with these questions and they seem unanswered.

edjI agree with that scripture ;THAT SAYS THERE IS NO OTHER GOD LIKE ME ,AND BESIDE ME ; now if you can just understand those words ,then you can understand that their are other gods but none like GOD ALMIGHTY ,NOT EVEN ONE THAT HIS EQUAL TO HIM
Hi Pierre,The words “LIKE ME” are not in that verse, as it
would change the meaning of what is being said.
So, is your answer: “Yes”, “No”, or “I don't know” ?God bless
