@t8
Well t8 that is what I like about you, you’re not afraid to state the obvious i.e. your honest. With that being said why would it be so hard to believe that in the Quran it says:
That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
( سورة النساء , An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #157)
What I mean is for instance John and Matthew have the crucifixion happening on two different days. John 13:1American Standard Version (ASV)
13 Now before the feast of the passover,……. John 13:29American Standard Version (ASV)
29 For some thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus said unto him, Buy what things we have need of for the feast;…..
John 18:28American Standard Version (ASV)28 They lead Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium: and it was early; and they themselves entered not into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the passover.
John 19:14American Standard Version (ASV)
14 Now it was the Preparation of the passover: it was about the sixth hour. And he saith unto the Jews, Behold, your King!
So we have John here stating the date of Crucifixion is the day before the Passover which is why there is no LAST SUPPER in John but of course in Matthew there is in mark the time is 9:00 but in John it is 12:00 noon
Do you think it is even possible that they were just speculating, I mean two entirely different days t8?

Could you possibly find speculation in the scriptures as a weak point?
It must be frustrating trying every day to prove God wrong.
But the weak offerings you share are no foundation.
You are on your own against the God of power.

You offer no evidence for your brave claims against the truth of God.
Your writings are not inspired , just the opinions of rebels.

Hi BD,

I offer scripture you simply offer protest to what is written, no nudgings? No inspiration to point to scriptures that explain? NO, of course not
April 20, 2015 at 10:50 am#794987NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
No it not our role to fight for the veracity of scripture.
It is inspired
fullstop.
Sad if the debaters of this age find it inadequate for their little minds.

I trust Jesus and the apostles Bod. The apostles have a different and much earlier account of what happened.
Denying the death and resurrection of Christ then denies the Lamb of God and the salvation of man. It is an important biblical doctrine. If there is no Lamb of God who was slain for the salvation of man, then we might as well burn the Bible and give up believing in the messiah.
Paul put it like this:
But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

t8 these people were doubting the resurrection, that is a separate belief from Christ being crucified. Besides that, was Jesus crucified for your sins or resurrected for your sins?…If the crucifixion was paying the penalty the resurrection cannot impinge upon the cure.

All theory.
Since you cannot know our God you play around with your theories.

Then cast aside the imitations and come to Him.

April 23, 2015 at 9:33 am#795395NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
There is no division between the OT and the New despite your efforts to find one.
Now that the Son has come there is only one way
It is not islam
