One God, One Lord, One People essay by N. T. Wright. There seems to be a lot of talk about this guy and his new Pauline perspective on justification by faith, the One God, One Lord one People etc. I have read this article and found it both interesting and disturbing at the same time… what do others think?

God is not, as he says,
“in the person of the messiah” except as in the vessel of Christ. The “incarnation” is a word of trinitarian descent that confuses Christ, the vessel for God with a false notion, Christ AS God Himself in flesh. Jesus Christ came in the flesh according to 1 Jn, and God came to live in him as Spirit, reveal Himself to men through him and do His works of power through him.

They have reversed the intended symbolism of scripture, and this results in catholics kneeling before, praying to and literally worshipping bread and wine.Such is the folly of Eucharist.

The true understanding of 1Cor 8 is to also deny the folly of trinity theory. God indeed is one and Jesus is not part of that God. He is the Son of that God. He is the Lord appointed by the Father over all creation and the head of the church. He is Lord of all, under God.May 2, 2006 at 1:10 pm#26685Artizan007ParticipantI agree Nick
