Quote (Marlin1 @ Oct. 06 2012,18:58) Hi Mike, Where is it written that we will ever understand the bible from the written Word?
Hi Marlin,What else do we have to go on? What we are told via spirit? But we are told to test those spirits, right? Because Satan and his demons can masquerade as angels of light, right?
Against WHAT do we test those spirits if not against God's written word?
Also, what use would God have in preserving His written word if it was not to be used by us to gain an understanding into the things of God?

October 10, 2012 at 4:26 am#315463Marlin1ParticipantBrother Pierre,
Why do you say Revelation 10:7 doesn't say that? I gave you the scripture and it says that exactly.
I also gave you a scripture in Luke and in Malachi. Is it because it is different then you have been taught?
Is it because you may have to choose between God or man?
For God will do nothing until first He reveals it to His servants the PROPHETS. Amos 3:7The Gentile days are ending very quickly and all hell is about to be let loose upon the earth and the people here.
This dispensation is coming to an END and most are worshiping God in VAIN.
Just as when God came in human flesh 2000 years ago, most have missed Him again when He came back in the 20th century as a (son of man), prophet. And 2000 years ago,
They crucified Jesus the WORD and went right on going to their churches and worshiping God in VAIN.It is the same today, they crucify the WORD and take man taught dogmas and doctrine, but they continue to go to their churches and worship God. They believe they are doing God's work, they worship God in VAIN.
MARK 7:7 † Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

IT IS CALLED FOR THE” WRITTEN WORD”(SCRIPTURES) OF GOD ,
so the problem lays in the ones that reading it and their mind and heart, and soul.

Brother Pierre,
You have missed the truth of the scripture. Look at the end again, “discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”
Tell me the last time the written word told someone the thoughts and intents of their heart.
Let me give you an example of the truth of the above verse, Heb 4:12.
John 4:7-19
7 † There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8 † (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9 † Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 † Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 † The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 † Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 † Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 † But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15 † The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
16 † Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17 † The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 † For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
19 † The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. The Word saw into her heart and told her what she had done, ver 18. It wasn't as you suppose, the written word. It was God in flesh, the Word, the living Word.
She new that was the sign of a prophet, and it hasn't changed at all.
Do you need another one,
JOHN 1:46 † And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
47 † Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
48 † Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
49 † Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. Here is the real Word at work again.
There is a BIG difference between the written word and the living WORD.
The written word is only a guide to the living WORD.
The written word will only bring death without it leading a person to the living WORD.
The living Word will give life everlasting. It will require a Prophet to fix this Babylon of confusion that the church world is in today.
Each person believes something difference, Babylon all over again.God Bless

Ok.October 11, 2012 at 4:36 pm#315781mikeboll64BlockedHi Marlin,
I agree with you that the majority of Christianity today teaches the doctrines of men over and above the truth of the scriptures.
You seem to have done so with this statement:
Quote (Marlin1 @ Oct. 10 2012,22:08) It wasn't as you suppose, the written word. It was God in flesh, the Word, the living Word. She new that was the sign of a prophet, and it hasn't changed at all.
If the one speaking to the Samaritan woman was a PROPHET OF God, then how can you say he was “God in flesh”?
And then you offer as support the words of Nathaniel, who clearly recognizes Jesus as the SON OF God, and not “God in flesh”.
How is it that you so aptly recognize that man-made doctrines are the bain of Christianity today, but at the same time are blind to the fact that you preach the most popular yet degrading of these man-made doctrines?
God never came to earth in the flesh, Marlin. He sent His Son and Servant Jesus Christ. Proof of this is in the fact that this Son and Servant continually prayed to and obeyed the God in heaven who sent him into the earth.
Other than that, I enjoyed your posts, and agree with many things you said. Good use of scripture.

Brother Mike,
Thank you for your kind reply.
prophet's were called god's, because they had the Spirit of God. This one just happened to be the one and only true GOD in flesh.I believe you are leaning on your own understanding of scripture here. Scripture tells us that Jesus was really a man, just like you say, the Son of God and He was also GOD in Flesh.
COLOSSIANS 2:9 † For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
I understand that you don't believe John 1:1 is speaking of God, if I am incorrect in this, please correct me.
I do believe, there has always only been one true GOD and that God became Flesh and lived with man as a man.Jesus also said that if you had seen Him, you have seen the Father.
JOHN 14:9 † Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?JOHN 10:30 † I and my Father are one.
Jesus giving the revelation of Himself.
REVELATION 1:8 † I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.Who was it that led the Israelite's in the wilderness, in the pillar of fire by night and cloud by day?
So just as I said before, in order to correct the mess the church is in we need a true prophet.
What would it take for you to believe God sent a prophet?Would he have to come preaching what you now believe? Like the preachers in Jesus day.
How would you test the prophet?
God Bless

Moses told the people that God will send a greater prophet than himself listen to him he said “
Mal 3:1 “See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the LORD Almighty.
Mal 3:2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.
Mal 3:3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and there are more ;but this will answer your question ,and I do believe in scriptures

Yes Moses spoke of Jesus to come.
Mal 3, Spoke of John the Baptist. But that doesn't answer my question.
What would it take for YOU to believe God sent a prophet to us, in the 20th century?

Second question, maybe it will help. Who is spoke of in Mal 4?
