Quote (Nick Hassan @ July 13 2008,08:11) Hi,
Those who love the fellowship of God and His son should ensure they stay within scripture.
Speculation, logic, opinion and human wisdom do not accomplish this.
And future reward is unto true servants.2Jn
8Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
Amen. I agree with you.July 12, 2008 at 9:25 pm#97104NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
We must regard our own situation soberly.Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. We can only at best see partially.
1 Corinthians 13:9
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.It is scripture that advises us to walk with care as all can fall.

And so, are you judging me to be thinking myself more highly than I ought to think of myself?July 12, 2008 at 9:57 pm#97108NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
No. I am agreeing with you.July 12, 2008 at 10:17 pm#97113942767ParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ July 13 2008,09:57) Hi 94,
No. I am agreeing with you.
Hi Nick:Each of us is responsible to God for what we teach. I hope that all of us are praying asking God that if we are teaching anything that is not His Word or doing anything that is not His will that He correct us quickly.
Everything that is not God's Word will be burned up.
God Bless

Now I can see that you also seem to agree that God influences and corrects us when we are wrong.
Does it not disprove this myth of free wil?
peace to you
AdamJuly 13, 2008 at 3:46 pm#97182GeneBalthropParticipantAdam……Yes it does prove FREE WILL is a myth. There is no such thing as a FREE WILL there is Will but it certainly is not Free, it can be freeed from error by replacing erroe with truth, but it still is not a FREE WILL, it's just a corrected WILL.
peace brother………………gene

Hi Adam:I have been corrected by God my Father many a time and I have accepted His correction because I know He corrects me out of His love for me. I know that He knows what is best for me. I welcome His correction. By this I know that my Father loves me.
But no, free will is not a myth, He does not force me to do any thing. I can accept His correction or reject it. I have a choice whether or not I will apply what He has taught me to my daily life. I have the freedom to choose, and that is what I mean by “free will”.
If you believe that “free will” is a myth show why you believe that it is a myth by the scriptures.

942767 I appreciate your Post and I agree with you. We do have a free will. I can choose to obey or not. God does not want zom-bies. He wants us to Love Him by our free will and not by force or fear. Churches however do teach by fear, unfortunately.
Bless you
Peace and Love IreneJuly 13, 2008 at 9:18 pm#97222Theologian-and-ApologistParticipantGod is an immaterial being, we are created in his image means that we are given a soul.

And a spirit.July 13, 2008 at 9:21 pm#97224Theologian-and-ApologistParticipantNow, in one part we are not parallel to God in any stretch, we are far from, but in the verse indicated it means God carved us from the dust and breathed life and a soul into us.

July 14, 2008 at 5:38 am#97331GeneBalthropParticipantMrs….. man has no free will, he has a will and its far from free, there is no such thing as a free will. the word free will is not found any where in scripture, amn has a influenced will , a influenced will is not a free will. free will is only a false preseption of our thoughts, but our will work from cause and effect and choices are made by what already in our minds and can hold us captive which is far from free. All will outside of God's will must be put to death so only God's will will be done.
Love and peace to you and yours………………gene

Gen I do not agree, because it is my will to believe what is written in the Word of God or not. Like I said before God does not want zombies to follow Him. He wants us to follow Him out of Love for Him. Of course our mind is fashioned according what I have received over years of Leaning. But it is my free will to put into my mind to believe or not to believe. God does call us, but I have a choice to follow Him or not.
If we had no free will, why is it that so many people, choose to do evil; are they forced to do evil?
Peace and Love IreneJuly 14, 2008 at 2:30 pm#97372GeneBalthropParticipantIrene….You ask, if we had no free will, why is it that so many people, choose to do evil; are they forced to do evil?
the reason so many people do evil is because , “all thats in the world is the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are (OF) the World. Man is exposed to this evil at berth and it goes into his mind and he learns evil from it, evil is not a matter of free choice but what he has been exposed to and if the greatest exposure is evil he will do evil. If you were born and raised (EXACTLY) in every way as any criminal was, you would do the same things. You will do whats in you, if the spirit of God is in you it will guide you into all truth and set you free from the errors the world has put in your mind before, but it all operates by cause and effect, you are caused to do right by what has been put in you by God, it has nothing to do with free will at all. You have a will but it far from being a free will………..IMO
love to you and yours…………….gene
July 14, 2008 at 2:50 pm#97375IreneParticipantGen It is still your choice to believe it or not!!!! Your free will has everything to do with it. I choose to do good or evil. All of the world is evil, and unfortunately some of us will follow that evil. No matter what tho, it is my free will to do so or not. Amen
