And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Matt 24:11
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. 2 Timothy 3:1
January 31, 2015 at 10:54 pm#788543MiiaParticipant‘But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.’ Rev 2:4
We either endure to the end and know and SEE what is happening, or we remain BLIND.
February 1, 2015 at 7:33 am#788555NickHassanParticipantHi,
Love one another as I have loved you.
How far did his love reach?
February 1, 2015 at 9:24 am#788558AnastasParticipantLove stretches as far as there is true repentance. One who is truly ashamed of the evil he did against God and strived to put away his evil ways and become one with Christ will be given grace through love. One who refuses to accept and change his iniquities refuses Gods love, and so God’s love is not with him.
February 1, 2015 at 12:31 pm#788564MiiaParticipantLove is felt in the heart. And there is no fear in love.
As Christians we can grow cold toward God and one another.
Matt 24:11. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
February 1, 2015 at 12:38 pm#788565MiiaParticipantYes Anastas.
Rev 2:2
“I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary.”
The consequence could become:
“But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.”
Remembrance and repentance and a return to the works we did at first.
February 2, 2015 at 9:26 pm#788635MiiaParticipantSo, has anyone seen the death of love on internet forums these days?
Has theology taken the place of God’s commands to love God and love one another.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. (1 Cor 13:4-8)
I think this forum should speak about this more than the typical theology.
Love should encompass those who don’t believe also.
February 2, 2015 at 9:54 pm#788637NickHassanParticipantHi A,
The striving of any man does nothing to improve his relationship with the Father.
Neither can anyone change himself.
All is grace
February 2, 2015 at 10:38 pm#788638MiiaParticipantNick, thank for opening up.
Now let’s get to the heart of the issue everyone and make this a heaven net revival!
February 2, 2015 at 10:54 pm#788640NickHassanParticipantHi Mila,
Seek ye first the kingdom of God.
Unless you enter the kingdom this is all hot air.
February 3, 2015 at 12:37 am#788651ProclaimerParticipantThat is true Nick, but are you saying that Mila has not?
February 3, 2015 at 10:19 am#788682MiiaParticipantNick, why thwart the path of hope?
February 3, 2015 at 10:23 am#788683MiiaParticipantHi,
Anyone of us could be outside of the kingdom.“Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.”
Unless for a gift of discernment, it is difficult to know how one truly lives simply through reading internet posts, as anyone can present a facade. Motive should be a good motive.
February 4, 2015 at 12:52 pm#788731MiiaParticipantNick,
Yes you are right, i guess it is just wishful thinking, and a complete waste of time. as for your judgment of me, Nick (if that’s what it is), we can let God decide that. They hated Jesus too.February 5, 2015 at 9:35 pm#788780NickHassanParticipantHi Mila,
Entry to the kingdom is of repentance, washing in the name of Jesus Christ and rebirth from above.
God does not ask much from us for the gift of eternal life.
February 6, 2015 at 5:37 am#788787terrariccaParticipantwhat does it really mean “LOVE FOR GOD WILL GROW COLD ?

Nick, yes and obedience.
what does it really mean “LOVE FOR GOD WILL GROW COLD ?
T,
Love growing cold for God would be the same as love growing cold for people.
lawlessness causes love to grow cold.
“Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold” – Matthew 24:12
“The one who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.”- I John 4:20

Mt 22:37 Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
Mt 22:38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
Mt 22:39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Mt 22:40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandmentslove does things for others before it does it for it self ;
being a living true believer and so practice the truth and preach the truth means you have placed your god first and your neighbor second and so you would be last ,this is what Jesus and his father have teach the disciples and that is their message ,
February 6, 2015 at 11:57 pm#788822davidHParticipantAs churchianity grows so does the lack of teaching that Jesus commanded to be taught. The great commission as it is known. …..Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you……” To love unconditionally is a command and an act of the will. We choose to love others as in get to know people in our church group. it is actualy against most of our western cultural ways to do this. and satan wants to keep it that way.
