    Hi,
    We see a lot written about love but is it about the freeing love of God? God is love and He has defined what love is. But where the Spirit is there is freedom.

    Part of that love is the willingness to let all men make their own choices according to the grace given them by God to respond.

    The response is only useful if it is to the call of the Spirit unto obedience to Christ and not the instrument used by God.

    1Cor 13.

    “If I speak with the (A)tongues of men and of (B)angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a ©clanging cymbal.
    2If I have the gift of (D)prophecy, and know all (E)mysteries and all (F)knowledge; and if I have (G)all faith, so as to (H)remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

    3And if I (I)give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I (J)surrender my body [a]to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

    4Love (K)is patient, love is kind and (L)is not jealous; love does not brag and is not (M)arrogant,

    5does not act unbecomingly; it (N)does not seek its own, is not provoked, (O)does not take into account a wrong suffered,

    6(P)does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but (Q)rejoices with the truth;

    7®bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

    No much use having a head full of knowledge and a heart full of hatred and self interest. God looks at the heart and it is better to come to Him as an ignorant child ready to learn than with an unteachable head full of inadequate knowledge.

    Wisdom includes love first of all.

    2Cor 11
    ” 1Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.

    2For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

    3But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

    The Father loves the Son.
    He can of course because they are separate beings joined as one in the Spirit..

    This message cuts me to the soul. I have asked that Tim2 love me, however, because he has refused me into his family – I have responded by not loving him. I've even belittled and teased Tim2. Well, I beg forgivness and I shall do it no longer. Tim2, please forgive me? I will try to respond with love first, and with my thoughts second. This is a tall order considering you are harsh with your sister (not even calling her a sister). But, God has called me to love as a Christian. This is my prayer, that love will be evident in me from now on. God help me to love those who do not love me!

    nike Hassen > I have heard that word love throwen around in so many way i can't count . we are told not to love the world nor the things in it, and to love good and hate evil. I once heard a sermon on how love was not an emotion but an intellengent desion based on knowledge alone. but i have come to see that love is full of emotions, true love is driven by emotion and involves holding on to somthing . what you love you will always want to keepand what you hate you will reject. God so loved the world that he worked out a way to save it. But that love was the product of emotion produced by a true understanding of our condition, for God pittieth us as a father pittith his childern. pitty is an emotion and this sorrow moved Him with compassion for He knows our frame He is driven with compassion and all who have his spirit are also, this is the love of God shed around in our hearts. it takes out of us the stoney heart or hard heart and gives us a heart of flesh or soft heart. and if the love of God be in us we also will be moved with God's understanding and it will cause us to have compassion and mercy which will cause us respond to others as God would. so then being lead by a soft heart we don't want to hurt no one in any way and this fullfills all of God's law. it takes a level of reality and comprehension for that to happen,that's why it takes the love of God to be in us to live right.

    Hi,
    Paul did not go beyond the teachings of Christ but expounded them and explained them in practical terms by the Spirit of Christ in him.
    Christ said we must love.
    Paul showed the detail of that command in 1Cor 13.

    A Testimony of God's Love and Fruits of Love          God's Love is the everlasting root that bears everlasting fruit!  You know when you have the Love of God in you when you produce these fruits:  Humility; Awe of God (fear of the Lord); Faith; Mercy and Compassion; Truth and Praise; Repentance, Forgiveness and Healing; Grace; Patience and Tolerance; Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding; and Prosperity.  

             The Awe of God comes when you recognize the greatness of God's power and being.

             Humility is silent passion and the beginning of praise.  Humility is the only boldness that is able to exalt the Lord without pride.  Such a value, you will see, brings romance (peace) into all relationships.  The Lord counseled me saying, “Always give thought to your words, for, thoughtless words spoken in haste is out of hatred.  Rather, if you possess humility, you will always be careful and speak out of Love.”

             Faith is one of the many gifts from God.  Through faith, all things are accomplished.  Faith means to believe in the things we do not see with our eyes or hear with our ears, but with a certainty in our hearts of the things we hope to recieve and accomplish.  Wisdom says, “If you see a miracle done through faith, then through faith you have seen God.”  God says, “A simple deed is made complicated by the world, yet, remains as it is, a simple deed.  That deed is Love and is made simple through Faith.  I tell you, no one can undo what the Lord has done.  Yet a single righteousness from God can undo what many fools have done.  It is the very things you see with your eyes and hear with your ears that decieve you the most.  Yet, through faith, you are given an eye greater than an eagle.”

             Mercy means to release and Compassion means to embrace.  They are the fruits of pity in which the Lord brings comfort and freedom by releasing a man of his debts and embracing him with life.

             Truth is what God says and does and everything else is a lie; truth is God's Word.  Praise is the declaration of the truth; the testimonies of deeds.  The Lord says, “No longer testify about the great restaurants or the best movies to see, ect.  Rather, testify about the things that will last forever; praise about the goodness of the Lord, God's Word, so that others too, may desire to see for themselves.  For, it is not one but all are called to be witnesses and they shall all see the Glory of God.”

             Afflictions are caused when we sin or when one sins against us.  Repentance means to turn away from affliction; forgiveness means to forget the affliction; and healing means the absence of affliction.  Through repentance comes forgiveness and through forgiveness comes healing.  Now, the Holy Spirit counsels me and says, “The secret to getting closer to God is through repentance and as a righteous man falls not seven times but seventy-seven times, repentance is constant.”

             Grace is selfless and limitless; it is through God's grace that we have all recieved one blessing after another.

             Patience and Tolerance goes hand in hand:  Patience means to restrain, tolerance means to endure.  These are what builds the strength of our spirit and the Lord disciplines us to build such strengths.  The Lord says, “Remember, everyone is a trial and everyone is a tribulation, including yourself.”  Those who have great strength are able to hold back the reigns of wrath and endure till the end.

             Wisdom is the Lord's common sense; knowledge is knowing what was, what is and what's to come; understanding is fairness and justice.  Through these, the Lord rules over and justifies many; and it is through understanding that the Lord atones our sins.

             Prosperity is constant growth of good fruit; there is never any ceasing in increasing.  Wisdom says, “Seek not the things that are temporary but forever, for, it is God who produces the fruit of prosperity.  You seek and you find; you seek more and you find more.  Only when you stop, do you ever go astray.  Prosperity is a continous renewal of joy and life!  It is never ending and always increasing.”  To be raptured in God's love is to prosper forever.

             We know the way to faithfulness, righteousness and godliness when we love the Lord our God, for, he shows us.  The Lord reveals his mysteries and makes himself known to us by teaching us to live by his ways.  This is how we will be able to find our way into the Kingdom of Heaven, through the Love of God  through Jesus Christ.  For, the love we have for the Lord and the love that we have for each other sums up the 'Laws and the Prophets'; for, the 'Laws' are the ways of God and a prophet sets an example for others by obeying them.  This will keep us from giving into the three things the Lord despises the most:  Deception, Hypocrisy and Unfaithfulness.  Remember, the point of life is not to love or be loved for a day, but to live in Love forever, for, Love covers over all wrongs (Prov. 10:12)!

    BEARING FRUITS OF LOVE:        As Abel also set an example by always adorning God with gifts and offering, so also, we are able to adorn God with offering now that you've recieved the knowledge of God's love.  If you have love in your hearts, then you are able to offer God gifts.  For, Love bears the fruit of repentance, forgiveness, grace, mercy, compassion, humility and so on.  The more you forgive those who trespasses against you, the more you offer God, the fruit of forgiveness; the more you are humble toward others, the more you offer God the fruit of humility; the more you repent, the more you offer God the fruit of repentance; so on and so forth.  It's only when you stop doing these things, when you cease bearing fruit; so wherefore, in all things you do, make sure to bear all these fruits and prosper in bearing them, for, God delights in them and will surely bless you greatly.  Yet, if you are unable to bear one or more of the fruits of love then this is what God means when he says, “..falling short of the Glory of God…”  Do not fall short of God's glory and the only way not to fall short is to accept all of Love, which is Christ, so that love can bear all these good fruits, just as it is written, 'he will teach them and guide them into all things… and move them to follow his decrees and laws..'  Yet, any branch that doesn't bear fruit or good fruit will be cut off as it is written about them.

             The more fruits you offer God, the more he grows within you and when the Spirit increases within you, miracles and wonders is without question.  This is what Christ meant, “..he who drinks the water I give him will become in him, a well springing up to eternal life.”  For, when the tree of life within you grows and flourishes throughout your whole body, there is no doubt the outcome of love will reveal itself.   Healing, signs, wonders, overcoming demons, ect. are all of the effects of love and this is how the light is seen.  Christ, the Holy Spirit, is the water of life, the bread of life, the tree of life.  The more fruits born, the greater his Spirit becomes within you as one who waters and nourishes a plant so it can grow; and the more you give, the more is given to you by God, for, the Spirit gives without limit. Christ said, “With the measure you give, it will me measured unto you…”  Wherefore, it all depends on the portion you have in your heart and only prosperity in fruit bearing can remove limits from the things you are able to do and nothing will be impossible.

    Hi,
    God has a different view of love and hate.
    Matthew 6:24
    No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

    We all know that it is not deliberate hate that causes us to chooses to serve in only one way when our heart is divided. But that is how God defines it.To not serve God with our whole heart and mind and soul is seen by God to hate Him. Lukewarm people are as such in His eyes.

    So when he says we must hate our family it is in that same light, that we do not prefer their service over that of God.

    If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
