Three big logic fallacies that I see presented here:

    1. Opinions: opinions are presented as evidence.
    2. Scenarios: scenarios are presented as proof.
    3. Consensus: consensus is seen as conformation.

    Logical fallacy:

    * 2 Samuel 24:1 – Anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, “Go, number Israel and Judah.” So the king said to Joab, etc. etc.

Years later another author writing about the same event didn’t dare blame God:

    * 1 Chron 21:1 – SATAN stood up against Israel, and incited David to number Israel. So David said to Joab, etc. etc.

Bible worshipers will do all sorts of mental gymnastics in order to make both diametrically opposed explanations true, simply because they are in the Bible.

    Hi Colter,

    You got things backwards,
man's words don't override God's!                         …no wonder why you put the Urantia book above God's word.

No error, and no false logic here, just the
documented truth of what was believed to be true.

      Samuel overrides Chronicles because:
The word of a Prophet supersedes the
documentation of the scribe of the king.

No, I don't believe that, but clearly you do believe that God is evil and good. Maybe your God has good days and bad days? A wicked heart? Is two faced?

Satan USED to serve God but then turned on God and promoted evil and Sin. Some idiot came up with the conflicting theology that God keeps Satan on a short leash and uses him from time to time to do evil.

    Hi Colter,

You must certainly be talking about Uzzah's death, right?

    First: Chronicles and Kings were written by the scribes of the king;
This compares to getting truth from the Presidents 'press secretary'.

Secondly: YHVH(63) gave instructions to the Levites on how to handle The Ark(63)

Thirdly: Nicole Tesla surmised the The Ark of God acted like “a giant capacitor” (in a way).

Conclusion: Uzzah's death was a horrible accident rather than an act of punishment as recorded.

    Hi,
    God does not have accidents.
    God does not record lies.

The fear of God got a certain emphasis that day.

God owes nobody anything, even their life.

Get over it and start listening

Religion evolves, the thinking of the people associated with writing the OT books evolved. By the time Chronicles was written, the offensive numbering of the Israelites was no longer credited to God but to Satan. It's not complicated.

I'm a disciple of Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God. I follow his religion, not the compromised Pagan version of it.

    Hi Colter,

Jesus didn't teach religion, he instead taught
us to have a personal relationship God our Father.

    Colter;

If you read and understood Job you would see that the are paraphrases of one another. Satan cannot make a move unless God gives him the authority to and God will not unless it advances his loving plan.

The most egregious consequence of putting the new wine into old wine skins is this warped philosophy of the two faced God; on the one hand God asked man to trust him while simultaneously using a fallen Son to trick his unsuspecting children. That horrible theology has God trying to tempt and trick Jesus while desiring him to do his will. There is no excuse for a thinking man to buy into such a sick and sadistic teaching! But that’s what cultic religious sects do; they persuade man that he cannot trust his own judgment……except the judgment of the minds of religious authorities who teach such retarded theology. No, no, their minds work fine, it’s >your mind< that they imply cannot think critically!

Satan had been a brilliant and loyal Son with great authority and trust delegated to him, but he fell in love with himself and rejected faith in the unseen Father then set out to do the undoable, make himself God of this world. He dared to fool the whole world and damage Gods plan for us.

It is a grave mistake to misinterpret the time lag of justice and mercy extended to the fallen ones for the theory that God ever condoned or ever used them. Gift of will offers enough of an environment to choose the will of God without God playing games on his children!!!!! The Son of God himself incarnate and defeated the rebels in righteousness. They are gone now and never did have the powers of a God.

Jesus had a religion, it was his gospel. That gospel became contaminated with the Pagan world doctriens. The original teachings slumber like a caccoon, they will one day be proclaimed to all the world.
