Hi KW,
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth and he went about doing good and healing…Acts 10June 5, 2012 at 10:01 pm#301099NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Not offhand but it should be easy to find.June 5, 2012 at 10:18 pm#301101mikeboll64BlockedQuote (kerwin @ June 04 2012,21:02) Mike; 1. Jesus explicitly stated time would be cut short in order that flesh would be saved.
2. It is clear that flesh will remain after time is cut short and the elect inherit the kingdom.
Hi Kerwin,I agree with your point that I've numbered as #1, because it is specifically stated in scripture.
But what part of scripture explains that saints will inherit God's Kingdom while still in the flesh?
The way I understand it, those who die will be raised in a spiritual body. But those who are still alive in the flesh at the end will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. Paul speaks about being anxious for his lowly body to be transformed into a glorious new body like the one Jesus now has. Do you suppose that those still living in the flesh at the end will be transformed before inheriting God's Kingdom?
After all, Paul said that not all would die, but all would be changed. So you and I agree that some flesh will survive. I just don't see any scriptural reason to assume that any of those will inherit God's Kingdom WHILE still flesh………..especially when Paul clearly says that flesh cannot inherit the Kingdom.

Mike;Genesis 6:13
King James Version (KJV)13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
and
Genesis 7:15
King James Version (KJV)15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
and
Genesis 6:3
King James Version (KJV)3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Some flesh of man and beast was saved from the Great Flood. It was natural flesh against who God limited his Spirits struggles. The flesh to come is as the flesh that was before the fall; freed from Adam's curse and subjected to the Spirit of God.
Certain experts teach you that flesh and blood is a synonym for mortal body. In a related sense John the Baptist is declared the greatest of those born of women while the least in the kingdom, even those born of women; are greater than he. Why aren't those on the kingdom considered to be born of women?

I agree that the soul without the body is composed of spirit; but it also is a ghost; naked of its dwelling place. A fleshless soul has a spirit body of a sort as it has form; but never the less it has not been resurrected.
There is no teaching of a spirit body in Scripture. There is both the teaching of a Spiritual man; who lives by the Spirit and the Spiritual body; which is quickened by the Spirit.

Hi Kerwin,Nothing in those scriptures about Noah say anything about flesh inheriting God's Kingdom – as far as I can tell.
And to answer your question: Because flesh gives birth to flesh. To enter into the Kingdom of God, you must be born again from above of water and spirit.
Your very question should tell you that flesh cannot inherit God's Kingdom, because no one in God's Kingdom is “born of a woman”. There are/will be some of them there who were once born of a woman, but those will have been reborn of water and spirit before ever entering the Kingdom. They will have been changed – as Paul said, “Not all will sleep, but all will be changed.”

Wakeup;Experts already explain it by pointing out that is was a phrase used to refer to the mortal body. A couple of versions translate it that way. You see examples of similar uses in Scripture.

These words of yours are evidence that you do not do as you claim because the Holy Spirit would teach you that understanding the language used in Scripture is necessary for belief. The experts merely reveal what they have come to believe is true. Test the Spirit of their and your words.
I understand that you have been indoctrinated into a lie but the Spirit does not teach that all flesh is flawed. It does teach that the curse God placed on the flesh will be removed through Christ Jesus.

Mike; Are you now meaning to claim that John the Baptist will not inherit the kingdom? Your words inferred it since Jesus called him the greatest of those born of women and stated the least in the kingdom was greater than he. Therefore your interpretation of that passage does not ring true.
My point that when Scripture declares flesh is saved from the Great Flood; flesh is indeed saved. You are claiming that flesh is not saved in the last days even though Scripture states it is.
Even if flesh is an idiom for life in that context then why is it used for eternal life; for it is eternal life that is being saved.
Matthew 24:22
King James Version (KJV)22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
and
Mark 13:20
King James Version (KJV)20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Nick;I have prayed; I have looked into these things; and it is clear that the flesh that is given life by the Spirit is not the same as the flesh that is given life by blood.
The flesh of Adam was cursed but that curse will be removed in Jesus Christ; who has become a curse for us.
