Hi Miia
bd,
if God saved Jesus from crucifixion and death then that’s what God did but the bible doesn’t say that.we can learn things about God through scriptures and through prayer and life itself. so it’s not a matter of picking and choosing what to believe out of scripture, but it’s a matter of seeing deeper, not only scripture but spirit also, in more than just words.
the old testament may be different than the new testament, but it’s for different times.
Old Testament for different times? The Jews have the old testament right now and they don’t call it that because to them it doesn’t age but for the sake of argument I could say the same thing The Quran came after the NT so different times but I will say one thing about you, you didn’t deny that God could have saved Jesus from the cross and that is a very intelligent statement

“though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you
than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8)
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light” (2 Cor 11:14)The fulfillment
“it (the quran) is a confirmation of that which was before it (sura 010.037)
“the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me” (John 14:30)
But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few – ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind.

And in doing so we judge islam to be false

EdJ it is asking you to Judge the Gospel in the bible not the Quran
April 6, 2015 at 5:24 am#792882Ed JParticipantAnd I will place the people who follow you (Christians) above those who are unbelievers until the Day of Resurrection. (Qur’an, 3:55)
Hi BD,
Those who follow Christ are uppermost right now, and according to this sura it will stay that way
untill the day of resurrection – do you believe what this sura is saying bodhitharta or no?B’shem

The Hebew word “Elohim” is the plural of “Elowah”, which is derived from the Aramaic word “Alaha”, or “Elahh”; the same as the Arabic word “Allah” or “Allawh” in pronunciation.
April 6, 2015 at 6:22 am#792884NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
So to support your ideas shows intelligence.
But you are opposed to christianity.

PICKTHAL: And this Qur’an is not such as could ever be invented in despite of Allah;
but it is a confirmation of that which was before it
and an exposition of that which is decreed for mankind
– Therein is no doubt – from the Lord of the Worlds. No it isn’t, it an is adversary of what came before it – therefore there is no doubt it came from satan.
April 6, 2015 at 6:28 am#792888bodhithartaParticipantThis is not about opposition it is about clarification

April 6, 2015 at 6:34 am#792893Ed JParticipantThe whole framing of this thread is absolutely silly because it is not Jesus or Muhammad if you read the Quran you will clearly see it is Jesus and Muhammad as well as all others God sent.
Muhammad opposes the teachings of Jesus Christ, so the choice is:
Who is God’s anointed leader? Jesus or Muhammad?I say Jesus,

You would muddy the lifegiving water others drink.

Moses wasn’t wrong was he?
Hi BD,
Here are Jesus words…
“For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me (ref. Deut18:15).
But if ye (as muslims) believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?” (John 5:46-47)“the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me” (John 14:30)
Muhammad is the false prophet of Rev.13:13
April 6, 2015 at 6:48 am#792897Ed JParticipantJohn 5:46King James Version (KJV)
46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.
Now would you have believed Moses? NOPE
Moses would have had the false prophet stoned to death
April 6, 2015 at 6:56 am#792899Ed JParticipantJohn 1:19-21King James Version (KJV)
19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
Who was that PROPHET expected to come?
Funny how you are always deceptive in your portrayal of God’s word.
You said you read the bible cover to cover, did these words fall to the ground?John 6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said,
This is of a truth that prophet (ref. Deut.18:15) that should come into the world.John 7:40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying,
said, Of a truth this is the Prophet (ref. Deut.18:15).Muhammad is the false prophet of Rev.13:13
April 6, 2015 at 7:03 am#792901NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
“EdJ it is asking you to Judge the Gospel in the bible not the Quran”
Since the Holy Spirit of God wrote the bible through men who is important enough to judge those words?
You???
April 6, 2015 at 7:29 am#792903Ed JParticipantJohn 16:12-14King James Version (KJV)
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
If not Muhammad, who is this spirit of truth that is telling you things that could not be beared long ago? All of you keep saying everything was already known when Christ left and yet the scriptures declare no such thing
Hi BD,
Does Muhammad glorify Jesus Christ?
NO, he fights his followers instead!So Muhammad is a spirit;
but ‘al-Lah’, YOUR god, is not a spirit? …is that what you are suggesting?April 6, 2015 at 7:45 am#792906Ed JParticipantbodhitharta wrote:There are miracles written elsewhere of miracles that Muhammad has done but the Quran makes no mention of them because what is unique about the Quran is it is the Miracle itself.
These verses shows that the angel Jibreel was really ‘satan’ the fallen angel who came to Muhammad…
“though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you
than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8)
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light” (2 Cor 11:14)And Rev.13:13 is about the false prophet and his strange fire (the quran) that he claimed came from Jibreel…
And he (Muhammad) doeth great wonders, so that he maketh (strange) fire come down from heaven
on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of
those miracles (recitals) which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;” (Rev 13:13-14)April 6, 2015 at 7:49 am#792907Ed JParticipantou say mila “of course God knew the big plan for the gentiles” I say I agree but that is not who Jesus was sent to.
and by the way Nick there is nothing more beautiful than Loving God directly in peace, this is Islam
NO, islam is slavery to Muhammad and his false god ‘al-Lah’
