T8,
1 Corinthians 15:44
44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45 So also it is written, “The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. 47The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.…I am of the opinion that fewer individuals would misunderstood this verse if the translators has chosen to translate and the adjective form of soul to an adjective form of soul. In this case they instead chose natural which causes many to think it speaking about the composition of the body which it is clearly not if you understand the Koine Greek. It seems to mean more like carnal or bestial. English does not use the word soul like that and nature is fine as ling as you understand that is is the nature of this world of sin. The word soul also links it both to blood and to the story of creation in chapter 1 of Genesis.
1 Corinthians 15:46Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
The same word is translated natural here. It is an adjective form of the word soul. It is not about the physical body that Paul is speaking. It is about the animal body and the spiritual body. If you look in Scripture you will see that the beasts were created first and then man was made in the image and likeness of God.
Just as with the beasts God created man a living soul. Scripture does not say God created the beasts in the likeness and image of God. God is spiritual.

But not a spirit body, because spirits are not bodies of any kind. No more then a car is the man that driving it.
God gives us a regenerated flesh body, spiritually driven, not carnelly driven, was PAULS POINT. A body created by God the Father alone, not a fleshely created body by physical transferred DNA , but a spritually created body, but a flesh body non the less. Common sense should tell us that there would be no need for a resurection if our bodies were completely done away with. I mean what is being resurrected in the first place if not a body. Spirits are not resurected, bodies are. IMO
peace and love to you all. ………………..gene
