Hi Pierre,
It wouldn't really matter if “Father” meant “The God of All Creation Who Created All Things”. Father would still be only a TITLE, and not a personal NAME.
My son calls me “FATHER”, but my NAME is “Mike”. Jesus called his God “FATHER”, but it doesn't change the fact that his God DIRECTLY and CLEARLY told Moses that His NAME was YHVH.
He even said that YHVH was the NAME He is to be remembered by from generation to generation.
The Caananites had a god also. But his NAME wasn't “God”, it was “Molech”. The Philistines had a god whose NAME was “Dagon”.
“Father” is NOT a NAME, but a TITLE. “God” is NOT a NAME, but a TITLE.
Do you agree?

Can you see my new post color as well? Or should I go back to black? Just curious.
Anyway, my Dad is 78 years old, and I still call him “Father” and “Dad”. I will NEVER in my life call him “Bob” or “Robert”.
But that doesn't mean “Father” is his NAME, right?

Mikeyeah good color
what i mean that our God as been made known to us trough his son as Father to him and us ,this would be is name and tittle to us forever,
a name as a meaning and i believe “father “fits well for our almighty God ,but with love it will be father .
you do respect your father and that it honors you,
my kids also call me father and my son is 46 years old.
I believe if you call your father by is name it make you is equal
and no longer his son, what you think??Pierre

Funny, I'm also 46. I think it is a sign of respect to call them “mother” and “father” instead of “Bob” and “Barb”.I still also address my aunts and uncles with that title before their name.
But I get your point about “Father” referring to YHVH. Maybe that shows more respect than calling Him by His Name. But then again, He is the One who said that is His Name to be used from generation to generation. So, I don't know.
The point of THIS thread was only to prove that just because Wikipedia and all the other sources say “God” is the NAME of our Creator doesn't make it true.
And the poll results speak for themselves in that matter.
By the way, I hope you didn't get TOO attached to that other color. I've found an even deeper purple with Ed's help.
peace and love,

God doesn't mind what name you call him. Just as long as you call him. I call him my friend. He doesn't mind. Good thing he knows my heart. With Love and Respect,
