Quote (Marlin1 @ Feb. 21 2012,09:59) Kerwin, you are right, the truth has always been the same, but man's perception of that truth has changed greatly. Just like the church you were raised in, some truth, some lies. That is the tree of knowledge of GOOD and EVIL. Each age was only responsible for what God gave them. Almost all was lost during the dark ages. Did the Lutheran church have all the truth, No. They had more light then the Catholic church, just what God had begin to restore. They were reformers, little steps God moved forward.
JOEL 2:25 † And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
The 1st age had the truth, Then what happened, Paul knew what was coming.
ACTS 20:29 † For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. The Catholic church all but killed the true church. You know that and I know that.
God had a plan and He started bringing it back. Just like the corn stock is not the corn, it is still part of the plant. And just like Luther didn't have all the truth, doesn't make him not part of the vine. It was God moving on.
I know that most will not be able to receive this, it doesn't mean it is not true.
AMOS 3:7 † Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
MAL 4:5 5 † Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 † And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.God Bless

In baptism we are CLOTHED with Christ[gal 3.27]Some are found at the wedding feast not wearing the correct garments.
They are shocked to find themselves thrown out.

Nicodemus was told in spiritual terms.
The apostles obeyed his Spirit to the letter and Acts is full of their water baptisms.May 15, 2012 at 9:59 pm#298216Ed JParticipantHi Nick, John 3:4-6 (KJV)
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old?
can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus told Nicodemus you cannot be born of water a second time!Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he
cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.God bless

As a teacher you will want to offer scriptural proofs that the waters of birth relate to jn3 surely?
Otherwise it remains your opinion.May 15, 2012 at 11:32 pm#298238terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 16 2012,17:28) hi ED,
